Depends on your perspective. My crushes always ended up dating my best friends smile And then the one guy who freaking liked me I got so freaked out by the fact that somebody wanted to date me that I totally screwed that up. But oh well, I ended up meeting my husband my senior year online anyway wink

So you like the heavy stuff or just SOAD? I mean, they do have an edge, but....I don't consider them heavy.
Yes, I've seen them live. Bout five years ago with Slipknot. They were good, don't get me wrong, but I guess those guys just aren't my cup o' tea.
Now Dragonforce on the other hand....if they had a different singer, they'd be perfect.

I'm not into the really heavy stuff. SOAD is just about my favorite band, and they're almost as hard as it gets with me. Sometimes I'll put on Disturbed or Demon Hunter, but I enjoy singing, especially in time with a song while it's playing, and I draw the line at songs that are more than half screaming.
Now, if there's a back melody or a harmony I can sing beneath the screaming, that's fine. Matter of fact, I sing harmony I make up myself for most of the songs I sing along with.
On a random note, I now own all of SOAD's albums. Yar.

It's kinda like that Carlos Mencia bit I saw on his standup special...where's he explaining how he chewed out someone because they were wondering why he wasn't crying during 'The Passion'.
