My 4th was awesome. Didn't spend much on fireworks, but me and my friend made what we had more interesting.

An altoid can, some speaker plug sockets, a push button switch, batteries and wire.

Some wiring, electrodes, and soldering.

Fifty feet of speaker wire and it was an electronic detonator. Also cinnamon and maple syrup off to the side. For flavor, I guess.

My friend built a small mortar out of 3/4 inch PVC tubing. It didn't work that well with the detonator because he built it to use cannon fuse.

It was on sale, and it's easily concealed in a tea. Two ideal factors for a booze cruise. Still, I'm generally not a fan of creme liquors. I mean, I drank a quart before noon and I was only kinda buzzed?
