Leon Court Walking upstairs, Leon tucked his hands into his pockets after entering the room. " Hey, what's up, Beetlejuice?" he greeted, a small smile on his face.

  " I'll pretend that's a cute nickname for your sake, dearie," Nikolai mused, still sitting on the bed while gazing on his phone. Ah, Kiyaka's relationship is Facebook official. He'd need more details about that later. After a quick tap of the like button he gazed up and gave Leon a sleepy grin. " I certainly hope you haven't been spending your time waiting for me to wake up, darling," he said, not showing any signs of noticing the intruder.

Leon Court Now, Leon knew there was a right way to answer. He could either lie and be charming, or tell the truth to his husband. Well, he wasn't up for having that argument again, so he made a choice and steeled his stomach. " Actually, I was talking to Arthur. He's having problems with Aki and asked for my help. I'm going to go over later tonight to check on Aki, since it sounds like something's wrong. Do you have plans with Kiyaka tonight, or can you watch Aysun for a little bit?" he asked.

  As soon as Arthur's name was mentioned the upper half of Nikolai's face became silhouetted save one glowing eye. His lazy smile remained as several purple snakes slithered through the room. " Mmm, I knew I sensed someone in here, but to think it was trash," he sneered. " I can't believe you gave him sex advice after he killed you. You should have let me do it, I'd teach him all he'd need: nothing. I think whatever's happening between them is divine justice."

Leon Court " Nikolai, Dr. Greenburg said that forgiveness is key to moving forward from whomever wronged us. If I can forgive him for his hand in killing me, so can you." He knew that reminding Nikolai of this wouldn't change anything, but still, he felt the need to say it. " Besides, Aki is one of my oldest friends. I want his relationship to be a worthwhile one."

  " Oh please. She says that because she's been trying to get in your pants from day one and you know it," Nikolai scoffed. Leon could preach this all he wanted, the Sin would stubbornly keep his hatred towards the thirsty brat. And just as he was stubborn, Leon seemed like he wouldn't budge away from his course to seeing his friend. " If you're that worried about him then I won't stop you, darling. But I will have Ezekiel-darling follow you should anything happen." he ceded.

Leon Court He chuckled, moving closer and leaning down to brush hair from Nikolai's face. " She can try as much as she wants, but I've already got an insatiable vixen in my bed to keep my attention," he said, kissing Nikolai's forehead before standing upright. " I understand you're still apprehensive, Nikolai. If sending Ezekiel with me will ease your worries, I'm fine with it."

 ~~~Nikolai stared intensely at his laptop. It was his daily, lazy routine of lounging on the couch, watching (or listening) to reality TV, and playing on his computer. However, today was different. His eyes glinted as he stared at a particular page on Ebay. The Luna mattress cover. It was a divine piece of technology that, with the mere use of a phone app, could adjust the temperature of the bed (it could even make different parts of the mattress different temperatures depending on how many were sleeping on it!), keep track of sleep, and could even take control of other electronics through the wifi. Legends say that with enough time Luna would come to remember one's sleeping pattern and can automatically warm or cool down the bed, wait for them to sleep before turning off lights, adjusting temperatures, and even turning on the coffee maker first thing in the morning! What a wondrous item. And now it was here. Waiting for him. And at such a cheap price. It was only natural for the laziest man on earth to want it, right? The bidding war would be done in two hours. Nikolai's bids were quick, and within no time his competitors were frightened away. Now all he had to do was sit and wait for those two hours to go. And he was fine with that. He'd picture his wonderful naps during that time.
Leon Court However, Nikolai had a new competitor who had just logged on. With a profile picture of a purple teddy bear and no buying history, he was a wild card. His cursor hovered over the mattress, reading over the small blurb about the product. The bidder's lisp curled into a smile as he clicked on the Bid, then typed in his own offer, a good amount higher than the Sin's bid. He wasn't going to give this sucker up, oh no. Not for anyone.
  Nikolai's eyes shined as his computer beeped with a notification. He refreshed the page to see a new bid from a new person. He clicked on the person's profile. Completely new. Judging by that bear profile picture, this was someone that valued sleeping. However, that poor person was unaware that they were competing against the Dream King. Nikolai cracked his fingers and placed his own bid. It was only a small fraction higher than the person's. He had no need to show off. That person would get frustrated with the constant counter bids and would give up just like the rest.
Leon Court But this new person was different from the others. Each of Nikolai's offers was countered in kind, taking little to no time to reply and always one-upping him. He didn't seem to be bored or even disheartened by each bid, only bidding higher and higher. By now, it was almost half of the store price, but the bidder didn't care. He'd pay up until one penny below retail before giving up. By now, many were just spectating on the bidding war, waiting to see who would emerge victorious.
  With each bid Nikolai's temper grew and grew. Who was this?! Why couldn't they focus on something better, like a recliner with a built in fridge?! Or a constantly cool pillow?! Fine! They wanted to play that way, huh? Gritting his teeth, Nikolai put another bid. A large one. Money was no option for the Sin, and he'd make that clear.
Leon Court The bid came to a standstill, much to no one's surprise. For two solid minutes, there wasn't a single bid. It looked like the Sin had won, but before any bets could be paid and certainly before Nikolai could celebrate his win, a bid was placed by the competitor. It was even larger than Nikolai's bid, almost exactly the price of the mattress. Money was clearly no object for this guy either.
  Nikolai grinned. See? Nothing to worry about. He reached for his coffee, taking a victory sip when his laptop beeped. He spat out his drink and glared at the new bid. It was... It was huge! Nikolai clenched a fist and thumped it against the table. Fine! He still had one more trick up his sleeve! Nikolai did nothing except stare. He leaned against his seat again, folding his arms as he eyed the timer. He sat like that for nearly two hours. They were down to the final five minutes. Four minutes. Three. With the time looming over him like a guillotine, Nikolai placed another bid. A snipe. Now there was no possible way-
Leon Court The rival bidder had anticipated Nikolai's move, placing a bid just one second after his that was only two dollars more. The computer beeped as the bidding closed, the winner not the Russian, but VioLetterC26. A pop-up revealed to Nikolai that he'd missed out on the bidding of yet another mattress, that one lightly used, but went for much less than the original bid. Russia had lost yet another great battle, but to who? The laptop closed, a smirk on the bidder's lips as he stood and left the room,t hen traveled downstairs. " Babe?" he called out. " How's ziti for dinner?" Leon grinned, sticking his hands into his pockets as he cheerfully entered the kitchen. Turkey had won the war.
