[Jenny :: Isle of Tortuga :: The Challenger]
Jenny smiled meekly, allowing herself into the room. She picked up a separate washcloth before dunking it in the water. "Leave this too me, I can hardly trust myself to make straight stitches," the mage laughed softly as she wrung out the washcloth.
If only they were back on the train again to get a spare change of clothes. Louis had barely changed that morning and his clothes were already in rags. Jenny gently dabbed at the blood with a frown on her face. If only he were compatible with a dressphere, it'd make things a lot easier. "Thanks for letting me help Noelle, it felt odd being above deck with nothing to do."

{{Sorry about the wait. Japanese has been kicking my a**. I know that's not really an adequate excuse but, well, there it is >.<}}
{Kyle : The Betting Table}
Rage was a good emotion to describe how Kyle felt at the moment. Rage that Cory wouldn't surrender. Rage that he wasn't able to win the fight. Rage that he wasn't able to effectively make use of Alan's sacrifice. Being useless was always something that infuriated Kyle. He hated being useless to others. And that's how he felt at the moment. He felt completely and utterly useless. Cory was right. His magic was too weak. He needed stronger magic, needed to be able to fight anyone. And he definitely needed to be able to fight harder than he had been.
So he can still perform a summoning huh? Wonder if I have enough power to do that.
You do. But would it be wise to show your trump card right now?
Probably not. I can always save it for the final bit. But if he summons, I'm gonna need you to distract him. Can you do that for me?"
Pfft. Can I do that. Of course I can. Like some silly samurai will be able to stop me.
Good. Thank you.
"You can't necessarily be sure of a stalemate. I mean, really, it's a fight. They can go either way. So, I suppose, we can keep fighting. Your move." He said, waiting for Cory to summon. If he did and he expected Kyle to sit there and take it up the a**, well, he'd be in for a rude awakening. He wasn't the only one who could summon.

[Tortuga ~ The Challenger]
"Nooooo problem." The agromancer smiled, surrenduring her current job to Jenny. "It's probably a good idea that you're down here, anyway. Jack is a little too fond of creating ideas that involve putting small people in cannons . . ."
Noelle wandered away, returning to the galley in search of any sort of patch kit. Like she'd find one. This was a pirate ship, not a cruise liner. If any of the crew had a hole in their pants they'd just as soon go without than fix it. She shuddered at the thought--pirates running around without pants. After she'd given up on the galley, the blonde looked around in all the other areas in the second deck, and even dropped down to the under deck. Eventually she came upon a store room with barrels of grog, other cooking supplies, and about a dozen trunks. Rifling through them, Noelle questioned their origins. There were a few filled with ladies' things, others with various metal dishwares. The best she could guess was that the trunks were loot that didn't have much market value. Anything remotely shiny or worth something would probably be kept under lock and key in the captain's quarters. It was lucky that the plunderers had taken the trivial things as well, because Noelle had been able to locate a few sewing kits among other things in the chests of men and women's clothes. She even found soap (Score, real soap!). Grabbing the soap, thread boxes, and a shirt and pair of pants she hoped might fit Louis if he needed them, the agromancer stopped back at the galley and returned to the crew's quarters.
"Back." She said as she came in, so as not to startle Jenny. "Found everything I need. Pretty lucky, too, this ship is disgusting."
Noelle sat on the floor and sat the bucket of water she had grabbed from the galley on her way back next to her. She went ahead and gave Louis' shirt a better wash with the soap before wringing the water from it and setting the soap close to Jenny. It would be there if she needed it. Pulling out a needle and threading it, the blonde set to work repairing the tears. Her stitch work wasn't fabulous, but it looked halfway decent and would hold well. Usually she relied on her sewing machine, but before she had it she would stitch quite a few things by hand--mainly little dresses for her dolls as a child. It was one of the many things her grandmother taught her to do. She always commented that she was training Noelle to be a good little housewife. Of course she was half kidding, she knew her granddaughter would never settle for being someone's little housewife, but still, the knowledge was still valuable.

[ Kyle ; Sora : Isle of Tortuga : The Challenger ]Kyle only seemed to nod slightly at Jack's orders, though as he jogged over to the anchor he felt pretty damn worthless. He wasn't exactly the most physically fit person; quite the contrary, either of these two could likely beat him in an arm wrestling match any day of the week.
However, as Auron joined in, he breathed a quick sigh of relief, pulling in time with the other three. The anchor came reeling in, slowly but surely, and the ship began to drift just slightly as a result. Kyle grinned, and was about to comment on it, when something caught his attention.
No sooner had the anchor been brought up completely than a stream of familiar noises coming from the port. They sounding like a mix between something whirring into action and a strange creature's call. A chill ran down his spine as Kyle recognized the sound, turning to face the docks just in time to hear a cannon shot.{Cue : Battle Theme ~ The Corrupted}"Watch out!" Sora shouted, and he immediately swung his hand out, as if attempting to swing a bat; as he did so, the Keyblade appeared in his hands, and he knocked back the cannon ball that had just been fired by a Cannon Gun Heartless. On the docks, just off the ship, a number of the stationary Cannon Gun Heartless had appeared, followed by a medium-sized group of Air Pirates.
"We've got Heartless!" Sora announced, as if the air hadn't already become filled with tension. "Tch, we don't have time for this!" Kyle shouted, summoning a trio of Starlights, which revolved around his waist, waiting for command. "The anchor's up, get some wind under our sails!"

[ Zordon ; Billy : Angel Grove : The Command Center ]"That's a pretty sound idea," Billy immediately responded to John, rubbing his chin in thought as he glanced at the Viewing Globe. However, Amy then spoke up. "Well, they started vanishing over the past week, and we couldn't find any trace of where they went. We can't very well just leave him alone, can we? Ooze doesn't leave his base, he just sends his goons out, no matter how many we beat down. However, we haven't heard anything about Zedd or Rita, and Zordon thinks Ooze probably overthrew them-"Suddenly, the entire command center was filled with the sound of sirens blaring, and all the lights of the center began to flash a bright red. "Alpha, what's the situation?" Zordon immediately demanded, his face showing the urgency he was feeling. "Ai-yai-yai!" Alpha shouted again, immediately typing wildly at the computer. Suddenly, the Viewing Globe was no longer focused on the Volcano Base, but on a strange creature attacking the city, using devastating fire magic to decimate the city's buildings. "What the-?!" Billy exclaimed, eyes widening. "I've never seen something like that before! Is it a Heartless?""You must hurry! Protect the citizens at all costs!" Zordon proclaimed, his eyes showing the concern that his actions could not. "Teleporter ready to go! Everyone ready?!" Alpha shouted energetically, the circling red dot around his saucer-shaped head stopping on the backside of his head, as if facing them. [ Lugae : Angel Grove : Lugae's Lab ]
"Now see, he's a good sport about it," Lugae said, still busying away with whatever he was tinkering with, though from time to time he did glance up at them, his beady hollow eyes gleaming behind his spectacles. "Go on, then. You'll probably have to fight some goody-goodies while you're down there, but it should be a piece of cake."

[ 'Teacher' : Narnia : Grand Hall ]
The woman nodded, and reached out with one arm to touch the globe herself. For the first time, Nicholas got a glimpse of her skin, as a purplish-blue hand, definitely feminine, touched its palm to the globe. As it did, flashes of images began to blur by, sometimes showing the same image for more than a split second, only to change before any actual details could be seen.
Her hooded head craned over to face Nicholas, and again, she reached out, this time with her other arm, and touched Nicholas' forehead with her index and middle fingers. The Avatar of Chaos would suddenly feel a rush of information, see the flashes of vision in his own mind, hear streams of voices through his consciousness; the information was, quite literally, being fed straight into him.
This lasted for a few moments, but it may have seemed infinitely longer. The Teacher then pulled her hands away from both the globe and Nicholas, her hands disappearing into her cloak once more. The machina slowed to a stop, the light fading as it turned off.
"And that is all we have to give you," she said, continuing to look at Nicholas. "Do you understand?"

 [Dani :: Angel Grove :: Command Center] Dani nodded to Billy about the situation about the heat. Personally, Dani had no idea how the suits worked yet since she had never turned into a power ranger yet. Her mind started to wander as soon as she thought about herself as a power ranger. Dani’s concentration was broken as soon as Billy started to explain to a girl with brown hair about the adults disappearing and thought it was time for Dani to step in. She then started to turn to the woman who asked about the adults. “Well you see,” Dani started off trying to find the right words, “When I appeared at this world six days ago there were still many adults around. It seemed like everything was running like a regular city. Every time I woke up to the next day however, there would be even less than before. When I woke up today for instance, there were no adults. There were cars on the streets and the kids were running like wild animals. It is hard to take care of things without hurting the kids.” Dani then held her ears when she heard the siren going off. She was not really a big fan of loud noises since it messed with her sensitive ears. When she unclasped her ears, Dani looked at the screen to find the weird heartless and listened to the mission presented in front of her. She then put her hoodie over her head and said “I am ready when the rest of the group is ready.” [Stitch :: Angel Grove ::City] Stitch had been running for a long time from the volcano just to get to the city. It seemed like it took forever just to get into the city which made Stitch a little bit mad.
When Stitch reached the other side of the volcano kids started to reach for Stitch hugging him and going “I don’t know what this thing is but it’s really cute and fluffy!!”
Stitch started to struggle against the kid’s hold until Stitch noticed a weird thing floating in the sky that was destroying buildings with fire magic. When he noticed it Stitch snarled at the kids in order to get them to let go of him when Stitch started to run at the weird heartless. When he was just below the heartless, Stitch pulled out the laser weapon that he had snagged back on the command ship before he was banished to this world. He then proceeded to fire goo at the heartless in order to try and cause it to fall from the sky. Although the weird floaty thing in the sky is far away, Stitch hoped to hit it with the goo.

[Kichi :: Angel Grove :: Command Center]
Kichi watched as they all discussed the best plan of action. "Hmmmm..." He himself pondered how to best handle this...an attack on Ooze's base would be necessary...but how to handle it, so that they could avoid fighting the adults in case they they were mind controlled...?
He didn't have long to ponder, however, before all the alerts went off, and the monster was displayed on screen. "Yes, we have to protect the city first! At least until we discern this thing's power and destructive capability,let's send everyone at it to be safe, if we think we can handle it with less, then some of us can break off and go guide citizens to safety!"
He obviously did not recognize the creature as one of the Black Waltz, as he had never played FFIX.

[Dawn : Port Royal : The Challenger]
Dawn had walked up to the helm as the others helped getting the ship ready. As far as she could tell this was the best area for her to use her magic to get the wind into the sails.
"Okay, let's go-what!" Dawn said just as she felt the ship moving, then the sound of an explosion.
Dawn heard Sora's announcement of incoming Heartless, followed by him hitting a cannonball away from the ship.
"I am on it!" she yelled out when she heard Kyle.
Dawn summoned her Tessen and moved her arms in front of and above her, pointing in the direction of the sails. She summoned a strong wind, directed into the sails. She kept the wind steady and constant as she could. She could only hope she could keep this up so the ship could get moving, and that the Heartless would ignore her and just not attack her.
'Pst, fat chance of that happening...'
~'Don't worry, just keep the wind going. Keep the ship moving. With the ship moving they will have to try and catch up with us. With your wind you guys should be able to outrun them.... maybe...'~
'Thanks Garuda... that is a lot of help...' Dawn's eyes narrowed at her summon's comment as she continued with the task of putting the wind in the sails.'

[Tortuga ~ The Challenger]
Jack frowned a bit at Dawn's lack of response to his goading remarks. No smile, or glare, or any other sort of reaction he'd gotten from most women for his jokes.
"Well, I thought it was funny."
I did as well.
"It seems only you understand my humor."
The pirate captain took his position at the helm where he could steer the ship. That's when the heartless came. With an expression of terror on his face, he turned back towards the sails and stood next to Dawn, blowing at them like it would help. The ship began to sluggishly move foreward, but would pick up speed in no time.
Noelle looked up as she heard the shouts about heartless and the boom of the cannon fire. With a grimace she glanced at Jenny. "You think we should head up?"
[Angel Grove ~ Lugae's Lab --> City]
"Yeah, sure," Elleon mumbled, rolling her eyes as she summoned a dark portal and followed after the Black Waltz. By the time she stepped out into the city he was already setting things aflame. With a sigh, the replica kicked at the ground.
Immediately, the earth began to respond. It started as a tremor, then grew, causing small stones to skitter along across the ground. The earthquake didn't become too severe, it was really only a terror tactic, but as Elleon walked forward, sections of earth below buildings sank and cumbled, swallowing them whole.

[Cory .:. The Betting Table]
"I know what your thinking."
Cory dropped his arm to his side, the summoning circle vanishing from sight as he continued, "You think that my summoning would be for some sort of prolonged purpose. Like I would have him fight you one-on-one to see who would emerge to victor. That is far from the case." Cory looked over his shoulder at Kyle a bored look on his face as he said, "You... You lost my interest. To risk your own life in such a situation against unknown odds is a foolish and selfish thing to do."
~
Even if it did work, at the end of the day he's the enemy again. Why on earth would I show him all of my techniques during round one? Cory sighed, staring up at the empty sky of the Betting Table. Besides, fighting the other earthlings and beating them all into submission isn't my goal. I have to find a weakness for the Replicas. And with a wave of his hand, the Betting Table imploded on itself...
[Dark Margin]
Cory, Alan and Kyle would all reappear in the same spots they were in before the bet, in the same positions as well. It would be as though they had not moved since the bet started. All of their wounds would be gone as well, as well as any pain or fatigue they may have had before the fight. Cory, however, would still be racked with pain, though his wounds would be gone.
Cory immediately fell to one knee, summoning and gripping his Revblade. In defeat, his could only smile as he rose shakily to his feet. Due to the absence of the superficial wounds the ronin's movement was no longer impeded by his burns, nor was his grip impeded by his cuts. He pointed the Revblade at Kyle and Alan and said, "Unless denied by Kyla, her debt to me is null and void. Since it was I who forfeit, you two have no debt to me either."

[Nick :: Narnia :: Seymour's Castle ~ Main Hall]
Nick could only gape as the pictures, the sounds, the history flowed through his mind like a river, the information somehow sticking to his mind. If only we had something like this back in History class, that would have saved me so many hours of study time.
He chuckled to himself, looking towards his teacher. His small smile immediately faded, and he couldn't help but bite his lip in thought. Why was her hand such an odd coloring? It was blue and purple...Feminine, yes, but still creepy. He wanted to ask her, but felt it wasn't his place to say anything. Nick was still in trouble, after all.
"Thank you for the lesson, Teacher. Now I need to make an excuse and find my way back to the group without causing too much of a disturbance on where I've been. Perhaps if I head back to the ship..." Nick bowed to his teacher before mumbling to himself in thought. An odd habit he had, but it helped process his thoughts without confusing himself over the unnecessary details.

[Jenny :: Isle of Tortuga :: The Challenger]
Jenny tried to stifle her laugh as much as possible as to not disturb Louis, but the look on Noelle's face when she re-entered said everything. "Hah, you'd think sailors would be handy with a needle and thread, I'm sure they have to mend sails ... or at least their own shirts!" She added that last bit rather hopefully, not wanting to imagine otherwise. But then again, she could be wrong. She really wasn't looking forward to exploring the rest of the ship. Why couldn't the train just magicall transform into a ship? Luckily she wasn't prone to sea-sickness of this world would be ruined forever in her eyes.
The cannon shot roared overhead, almost causing the mage to tip over the water. She steadied the bucket before nodding to Noelle anad summoning her flute. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," though who knew how many battles they could all take. Did they stock enough potions?

[Tortuga ~ The Challenger]
Sighing, Noelle set her sewing aside. Looks like they would have to get to it later. The spear weilder summoned her weapon and went for the stairs. She hurried up them and cautiously stuck her head up to see what the situation was. Heartless shouldn't be too difficult to take care of, right? Stepping fully out on deck, Noelle raised her spear just above shoulder level and took aim for one of the Air Pirates. The throw didn't have as much power behind it as she wanted it to; she was still a little tired. Her spear hit but it wasn't enough to take out the Heartless, so she had to recall it for another shot.
Prote went to work on the Cannon Gun Heartless, changing his right arm into a weapon for the occasion, as Geists were modeled to do. His arm and hand became an elongated tendril as he approached the ships railing. Reaching out, he whipped at the Cannon Gun Heartless, trying to take them down before they could do much damage to the ship or its crew.
