 Stary's shoulders fell as she felt bad for him. "Please.... don't feel bad..... it just... happens I guess..." She said as she listen to him answer her question. He did have a good point though. "I can agree with you on that...... IK would to rather be here then with a stranger...... but still..... " She said in a sad voice. "Sometimes...... even in a place like this.... you still go with someone who you don't know......." She looked up at him. "I hope someone buys you who's right for you and not some mean person like off the street." She said as she fingered the silver collar around her neck.

 At hearing the slave's name, Persephone, the devil burst out laughing. Not a polite, quiet laugh, either. The man was clutching his sides, and very nearly fell over onto the floor with his laughter. He had to lean against a wall to steady himself as the loud, raucous laughter shook his entire body. When he finally sobered up, he went right back to being serious, but this time with a wide grin plastered to his face.
"Persephone? Really? It must be fate, then. You know your namesake was a goddess, the daughter of the goddess of the harvest. The devil, Hades, fell in love with her and kidnapped her down to hell. And here countless years later, stands Persephone, before the devil once again. Surely that means that I must steal you away a second time, don't you agree?" His grin spread until the bright white of his fangs showed from between his soft lips. He thought that this was a magnificent cosmic joke.
He turned his eyes back to Meredith. Yes, he would definately be taking that one. Whether or not he took this girl as well depended almost entirely on her answer.

Persephone swallowed, trying to clear the lump in her throat. She had hopped he wouldn't know the mythology behind her name, but he seemed rather amused by it. She herself could see the irony, though bitterly. She looked him in the eye, "And like the goddess, I doubt I have much of a choice in the matter, correct?" Her heart was pounding. Thoughts of hell burned in the back of her mind. Hadn't the goddess learned to love her new home? She inwardly shook that thought away and stood steady and firm, awaiting her sentence, awaiting his answer.

The devil chuckled. This girl was funny... in an annoying way. He ran a hand through his hair again, maneuvering around the horns that protruded in the back. He leaned against the bars, closer to her, and grinned again "Now, if you didn't have any choice in the matter, I wouldn't be asking you, now would I? I am not my brother, Azarel. I am a gentleman." He grinned, anxious to hear her thoughts.

(Hello my children!! ^___^)  Jay smiled and bowed his head to her. "Well I'm happy to assist you in any way I can." Jay said looking down at the girl. Jay chuckled at how she wished he was forsale. "I'm sorry miss but I am not for sale." He said smiling and chuckled. "Well when you find something you like do come to me and we'll work out a deal." Jay said walking back over to Erebus. "I'm sorry for the wait sir." Jay said bowing his head. "I had a situation to take care of. But now you have my full attention." He said looking at him.

"Ah! Yes." Erebus turned once again to the shop owner. As mentioned, he was not like Azarel, who would have rudely grabbed the man by the cuff and demanded his attention. His polite ways generally served the devil very well.
"I am purchasing the sickly demon slave, there." He said, indicating Meredith "Also, this girl, Persephone. How long has this one been here, and how much would this one go for?" He was very much on the fence about the purchase of the girl. He was even considering flipping a coin to decide.

Persephone let his words linger in her mind. It was her choice. Every sensible thought in her head told her to say no, and yet, part of her was curious as to what that life would be like. The dark corners of her mind whispered that it was fate that she follow her namesake' story. It was destiny. She looked down at the rose in her hand. A black rose. That is what she was, a Black Rose. Meant to bring together night and day, forever conected to the delicate balance of nature. Her decision was clear as she looked up at Erebus, "Will you let me out in spring?" It was her way of saying yes without saying it, she couldn't bare to voice her agreement.

The devil's lips slowly curled into a grin as he let his golden gaze drift away from Jay and back to Persephone. He chuckled. "Yes." was all he said before turning back to the shop owner. "How much?"

To want happiness I had never known." Meredith suddenly felt worse. He coughed once or twice, but didn't want to worry Stary so he tried to answer her. "I hope the same for-.." The demon clenched his chest in pain, and started breathing heavily. It took all of his energy to prevent himself from screaming and creating a scene, something he didn't want to do a second time. The small demon collapsed onto the floor of his cage, and started to cough more. No.. No, this isn't happening now... Not when i'm about to be sold.. He panted in between coughing fits, and tried everything he possibly could to calm down. Why does my chest hurt so badly? It's never been like this before.. Meredith struggled to catch his breath while at the same time hoping that for some reason everyone would be too distracted to notice him. Unfortunately, he was probably the distraction. "Never mind me, never mind me,
Just talk about something." <3

Stary griped her cage's bars when Meredith started to cough and fall to the floor. "Meredith!" She yelled to him. She wished now more then ever that she was closer to him and that the collar was off of her so she would be able to help him.

Erebus' eyes darted to Meredith's cage, and his eyes narrowed. If his slave died before he could even get him home, someone's head was going to roll. He looked like he was in pain. Erebus frowned more. What was it, exactly? Desiring to understand exactly what was wrong with him, Erebus tapped into his mind. The moment that he did, the seething pain that was enveloping
Meredith also stabbed into Erebus. The devil's eyes widened in pain and he grunted, gripping his chest and gritting his teeth. He quickly broke the connection. He turned to the shopkeeper, pulling about 20mil in cash and shoving it at him
"Open the door." he ordered, no longer caring for chivalry as he strode over to the demon's cage. He kneeled down next to him and scowled at himself. He couldn't believe he was about to do this. But when Erebus wanted something, he got it. Even if a little pain was involved. He muttered to Meredith "Hold still." and touched his forehead with two fingers through the bars. Slowly, Erebus felt the pain that Meredith was feeling being drawn away from the demon's body and into his own. He winced, gritting his teeth in pain, but continued draining it away.
