Lady Bern Alie Valens Lady Bern eek Now if only DC could learn to stop suckling on the teats of Batman and Superman and branch out to other comics. I'm praying that Green Lantern is good. Well there's always that myth like rp that's been in the brainstorming stage for so long. At least I'll have more time to work on it now that I'm not in college (academic suspension for a semester.. damn) If I'm not being too bold may I ask why? It's explained in the Cafe but I failed Astronomy while only having 4 classes because of my Academic Probation

My dumbass Language Arts teacher actually had the never to pull me aside after class and tell me I need to TRY had enough and do the ******** work!
My mom and stepdad got devorced, I lost my only transportation, my grandfather died, and I moved, the old school refused to let me transfer because of a book THEY HAD, and in it all, I missed almost a month of school, along side the scattered weeks due to the divorce. It dropped my grade almost 60 points.
My Counselor asked the ******** to do something to help me, and he gave me a long a** piece of shitty literature to read, and do a project on in 4 ******** DAYS! AND HE HAS THE NERVE TO SAY I NEED TO WORK HARDER! "I'm already bending over backwards to help you." He says. ONE WEEK. The most he attempted was an IMPOSSIBLE task, and he claims he's ******** bending over backwards. Now, with ONE week of school left, and me already signed up for summer school, he has the nerve to say I'M not trying hard enough. He hasn't done s**t to help me, and I'M not trying. In the two ******** months I've been in the school, he's assigned 4 books for us to read. TWO WEEKS PER BOOK, WITH 3 PROJECTS DUE FOR EACH, ALONG WITH A ******** DAILY ASSIGNMENT IN IT.
He gave us 10 minutes to write an essay at the end of class. 3 TIMES. I'm so ******** sick of his bullshit! And he wants me to do this s**t, with NO CHANCE AT PASSING. Some people just need to die -.-
He should be happy I even show up to that class at this point. I'm gonna check the rules for anything I can report on him -.- I hope he gets fired after this year. I hope I can GET him fired. I haven't hated anyone this much since Miss Steed... and Matt... that ******** d**k. I really wish he could just flip his truck and die. He caused all this bullshit.

Normally we save this sort of emo dumps for live journal... Any whosal since you decided to vent your feelings and blog about it here? The divorce is a rough deal but unless there is some serious complicating factors I'm unaware of? High school and this isn't that much of a huge deal. Do your time in summer school so you can pass to the next grade. Seriously when I was your age some s**t happened and I ended up there too. I made this giant deal out of it until one day I showed up and did my work. Then it was done and I got passed. ... That is seriously how big that deal is. So not at all. Like it sounds like getting there is most of the battle. I don't know what I can tell you to make you understand. The frame of reference is all skewed. You're seriously convinced that this s**t really matters. Eventually you're going to understand. You're going to feel a touch silly about it then. So I guess the best we can do for now is try to stay supportive and be here for you.

Theres A LOT more to the divorce thing, and highschool osnt my problem, im just so sick of people. I know what im doing in school, I just got really unlucky multiple times. I just wish people had just a shred of decency... -.-

When there's a fighting style in part of the character profile. Now I'm stuck wondering what would be the right fighting style to us for a female who uses scalpels as a weapon.
Since I don't know enough I'm trying to go through a list but a majority are self-defense, doesn't in-cooperate the use of weapons, or so vague that I don't even get what they are saying. Please help.

You can always use, "Independent", "Self-Taught", or "Mixed Martial Arts". It peeves the purists, but it does count.

Yeah but my character is like a mad doctor. So I'm trying to figure out what style would best suit someone who knows how to attack and lock the joints, knows the pressure points, and can cut you with a needle and stab you with a syringe. I know that eventually no one will follow the styles to a T. Only the elitist will. But still I want to try.

When you have the right people to work with you can actually do a 3 paragraph minimum. I just hate it when people try to show off how smart they are and use an extensive vocabulary then fill the paragraphs with useless text.

ah... I'm a huge Lit RolePlayer. it's natural to get at least two paragraphs, even when the character says only one thing. it's the important details about what they do, how they act, what they think... this is what expands the character most. I've seen some people type entire pages...
I have two main pet peeves...
the first is lol speak used mid RP. If I see the new member of the guild I'm in say "Makoro walked in teh room" again... ugh... I'll kill him IRL.
OCC lol speak is fine, to an extent... but in an RP... dear god.
my second pet peeve is people who just don't get it.
in a tense situation, one of the people I RP with always acts silly. breaking rules of nature and creating awkward situations. it's not as bad as the first pet peeve, but honestly, reading a situation, and knowing when to reply, and how to reply, is a very, VERY important skill if you ever want to be a successful RolePlayer.

Pet Peeve that pertains to my real life:
When someone is coughing/hurting in some way and someone
asks, while they're not quite able to answer, "Are you okay?"
I mean, really? I understand that it's a knee-jerk reaction for
most but can you at least wait until the person can actually reply?

Well in some cases people might be afraid that the person is choking or having an ashma attack or something of the sort. They want to know if they need any serious help as in they need to call 911 or start a trache on someone.

One of my pet-peeves is narrow-minded rpers. I don't care how good they are, but if they join simply for one thing or another it irritates me. A problem I find in most males is that they want a fight 24/7 and right off the bat when they join even when a battle has already ended and the dust had long cleared out, and everyone else is (or should be) tired out. Girls, can be even more so irritating than guys as they will try to build a relationship first thing or as fast as they can manage, and then will expect a proposal by the second day, without giving their actions much thought! And honestly it makes them look desperate and dumb. And I'm pretty sure that creeps guys out, as I usually find them trying to hit on my characters, which results in my having a otomen/harem situation which makes me uncomfortable. ;>.>
But the problem with these rpers is that if they don't get what they want they'll up and suddenly leave.
