Raquel looked to Lorey, giving her a soft but solemn smile, nodding. "I'll take care of it. Thanks..." She nodded, coming in more fully, glancing at Damian only slightly before heading towards his bathroom to fetch a warm towel like Lorey suggested, since she didn't know where the heating pad was. She kept her pleasant, soft smile on her face, not wanting to stir up any more trouble between them.

"Do you need an aspirin or any of your medicine?" She called over her shoulder gently as she waited for the water to heat up.

Raquel finally got the water hot enough, wringing out the cloth before coming back in the room. "Here..." She said smoothly, pressing the cloth gently to his ribs, since eh was clutching them so painfully. She turned to his bag which was still unpacked on the floor, fishing out his medicine for pain. She placed the small two pills on the night stand for him to reach, going to get him a glass of cold water from the bathroom.

She returned, handing it to him so he could take his pills, applying light, gentle pressure to his ribs. "...I'm...I'm sorry...." She said softly, not looking at him. She silently hoped her cold shower had washed the smell of alcohol away.

Raquel furrowed her brow. "No it's not...I shouldn't have snapped on you like that..." She said firmly, almost as if chastising herself for behaving in such away.

She rubbed a bit more firmly on his chest, working her other hand down and around to his back, to apply even reassure to both sides. "...Do you remember... I believe it was our first kiss? On the window seat of my room? You had had a nightmare involving me, and sought me out to see if I was alright?" She asked softly, pushing her hair out form her eyes before returning to his muscles. Besides her pale and obviously off silhouette, she was radiant in that nightgown, atop his bed, simply caring for him in the pale moonlight.

Raquel smiled faintly, her eyes closing a moment. "You said...You kept saying how strong I was... You thought I was near flawless... Like some perfect mystery, wrapped in an enigma..." She stopped rubbing a moment. "You loved me like that... There was no bad emotions... no pain... Just us." She furrowed her brow. "I want to go back to that..." She let that linger a moment. "I told you I was horrible for you... That I'd end up hurting you..." She looked down at his battered body, a knot forming in her throat. Even if it wasn't by her own hand, she had brought this upon him. Not to mention all the emotional trauma she had put him through.

A soft silence sat in. "...Do you still want to marry me?" She asked so softly, so scared. But the question was strangely open and calm, as if assuring him either way she'd be fine and would learn to deal if he did say no.

Richard was slightly wet from helping her out of the shower, merely sighing as Lorey came in. He looked tired as he shook his head, stretching sleepily.

Raquel couldn't help but sigh with relief, her hand falling to his. "God- What a man you've been for sticking with me all this time..." She shook her head in amazement. "How many break downs I've had, how many fights we've fought over silly misunderstandings.... And you're still here..." She swallowed a little, just looking at him. "That alone astounds me more than anything." She reached out, gently touching his face, her own so soft and placid, just feeling relief and still a bit of guilt as she sat at his side.

She wished Damian could have known her before they had been in love. She rarely cried. She spent most of her time alone, reserved and calm when she was depressed, rowdy and sexual on every other occasion. The only time she was ever peaceful or mildly content, was when she was on stage with her guitar. When she met Damian, he managed to tear down the stone walls around her heart, letting her wild emotions run free. yes it may have reawakened some problems on her Amaranthine half, but her human side- adored it.


Richard merely chuckled, going over to get into bed. "Raquel's a character... a strange one at that...Damian's got his hands full for sure..." He sighed, motioning for her to join him.

Raquel swallowed, a soft, thankful smile on her face. "Yes..." She whispered, coming near him, her lips so gently, meekly almost, gracing his, lingering a moment. She could practically feel him start to lose consciousness as she simply laid down beside him. Not moving the covers, not getting too close...
Just..watching him sleep, knowing how lucky she really was.

Richard sighed, not really knowing himself. "She was trying to make herself feel better in a very unhealthy way..." He explained, still being vauge since he had promsied Raquel he wouldn't say anything.

Morning came far too soon for the couple in Lorey's room, but Richard knew he couldn't be too sad. He was just going to be gone fora little while, and He'd be making their dream a reality. He just worried for Lorey's safety while he was gone since apparently they were just all prone to uninvited guests.
But he was assured she'd be fine, and would call every evening to make sure they were all ok.

When the first rays of light began to shine through the window, Richard moaned, rubbing his eyes, knowing he had to get up and start getting ready to leave. "Ug...Morning.." He leaned over, kissing Lroey's forehead with a sad smile. "We've both got to get up...we've got places to go, people to see..." He said softly, making himself try to roll out of bed.
