Dragons, well.
There's a lot you can do there.
Why not learn a little about dragons and fit lots of dragonic symbology into it.

Well dragons often protect huge ammounts of gold.
Perhaps you could be able to make your sword into a shield of sorts in some form or another to protect 'treasure'.
Dragons also have wings so you could fit some kind of flight ability into it, maybe with jets of fire from your boots.
Dragons are often seen as protectors so it'd make sense for the dragon to be a sort of protector.
Dragons are also often seen as greedy.

Hmm... I guess.... But their also supposed to be beings of Power, sometimes Tyrants. Not just Protectors.
I just dont see how it would otherwise fit into a weapon.

Power Tyrants
So you want a Tyranical and Powerful weapon I see, well now I know that.
The weapon would be angry probably if it's a tyrant and why not humongous.
A sword made of fire can reach any size in my opinion. You could have a humongous dragon sword that can reach ridiculously far and is ridiculously wide.
Then you could add some like special moves to it, how about that even if it itself doesn't hit the sheer heat and power of it can hit someone.
But wait there's more, it's a tyrant so it needs to be Tyranical, maybe the sword could talk and offer angry comments, or as it slashes it could do more than just physical damage but it could also with each slash take a small hold in their mind which slowly grows. Until the Tyrant controls everything.

A tyrant usually binds people to his will by force.
Perhaps upon it being released a feeling of despair could come accross people, the sword represents tyrants who have controlled people and people in the presence of it believe they will share the same fate, a feeling of hopelessness comes over them.
