Right off the start Poliwag's nerves were being put to the test. He watched as his opponent suddenly got a whole lot more vicious looking and fear began to grip the little pokemon as he shut his eyes and started to shake. "Starting off with a passive are we? Very well, we shall do the same. Poliwag, find your nerve and shake off that Scary Face! I didn't teach you to be a coward, now use Rain Dance!" Poliwag was scared, there was no way he could fend off an opponent that scary! But as he thought about letting down his trainer again, he felt the growing energy in him give him courage. He imagined his trainer's own Larvitar, and while he'd never seen him with a face as frightening as the girl's Larvitar the look in his eye and his calm demeanor were worse. He could remember them at the table a few minuets ago when they were eating, the Larvitar looked at him with absolute disgust, as did the other two. Poliwag could remember the conversation with his fellow pokemon all to well.
~~~~~~~~~~
Larvitar was eating calmly, ignoring the pain in his arm when he suddenly spoke. "You let master down again today. Our opponents were strange and new, but that is no reason to back down as you did. I even backed you up so you could use your Ice Beam with better accuracy and you still crumbed under the pressure." All the while Larvitar did no look over to Poliwag, his voice did not rise or fall, it was almost as if he were speaking to himself. He was just like his master now, no, colder still as he didn't even grin nor frown.
Poliwag had tried to looked up from his plate and at Larvitar, but the unbearable weight of the shame he felt kept his gaze on the counter. "B-but its not my f-fault. Ice Beam...it's not one of my att-attack. Master use-"
"And?" Larvitar's voice rose a little this time, but he still didn't break his form making it seem like his meal meant more to him that Poliwag's cries. "He used a disk on me as well. And unlike you, I accepted his gift with open arms."
"Oh I wish our beloved master would present me with a gift as well. But lately he ignores little old me." Ariados spoke with a light airy voice as she looked up at Crenu and sunk a little to the ground with a sigh. "Oh but you do pick on little Poliwag a lot Larvi, you should be a little more cheery!" Ariados scurried over to Poliwag and stroked his head lightly with one of her legs.
"You're to soft on him. In fact, you're to soft and 'cheery' period. No wonder master has been ignoring you lately. The two of you are becoming more useless, and no one wants a tool that can't get the job done. I wonder why he spends so much time on you Poliwag, but I will not question the master's methods."
"Hah, some glorious master. My old trainer, now he was a real man. Strong as a mountain that one, and so were his pokemon. I wanted to be like them, and I was on my way. But he gave me away to this guy instead." Hitmonlee spoke out from his place in the open space of the shack where he was kicking the air the way that Crenu had taught him to. "Heh, guess its not a total loss though. I don't consider him my 'master', but I'll tag along with you weaklings till I can find someone stronger to take me in. Shoulda thrown me in that scrap instead of that little blue slime ball. I wouldn't have minded fighting with you rock head, at least you can hold your own, but I coulda taken all of them on my own." Hitmonlee chuckled a bit as his did a Rolling Kick and landed with a light thud. "Shoulda taken that medicine rock head, we all know you need it."
"Watch your tongue Hitmonlee, if you even have one." Larvitar said, only now turning away from his plate. "Your arrogance wears on my nerves, but your power will be helpful to master Crenu and his goals. And as air-headed as Ariados is, even she has her purpose in master's strategies for battle. The only one here who can easily be replaced by any random water type is you Poliwag." His gaze fell upon the trembling blue tadpole pokemon. Ariados removed her leg from his head and scuttled backwards a bit saddened, despite his size and blank face Larvitar was the scariest pokemon she knew and she did not want to cross him. Even Hitmonlee stopped his kicking for the moment and glanced backwards to hear Larvitar's words. "We are master's tools for combat, and I won't have him fail due to a broken rusty tool that can't do what it is suppose to. He's putting a lot of time and effort into training you for some reason, don't make him regret it by being a waste of his time."
~~~~~~~~~~
Compared to being scolded by Larvitar, this was nothing. Poliwag shook himself free from the fear that had come over him, but the attack had done its job and made his body much slower. Poliwag began to wag his tail and started to chant while he spun around on one foot in the sand. Every few spins ended in a little hop to the other foot and so on as a cloud began to form above their heads. The cloud was sluggish in movement, but appeared to make large leaps as it grew heavy with water. Poliwag was not going to fail this time, he was not going to let the other pokemon look down on him anymore!

Karri shrugged, Mitsu was Mitsu. "Something tells me she's trying to get Ivy to evovle. He's long past his due date if you haven't noticed, but I just don't think the guy wants to." And it was true. Ivy really didn't have an affinity for his next evolution. He would be big and he wouldn't fit into buildings and Mitsu wouldn't be able to carry him. In fact he was already too big, but that was beside the point. "And in her defense, your team is physically stronger than hers, though I know it's a poor defense. I wish she would have let me battle. I never get an action around here anymore." Kari laughed, light musical bells ringing.
The Gardevior sighed. "Hah. Doesn't surprise me either. Though I suppose you don't understand where she comes from." The Psychic paused recalling the rather lonesome childhood Mitsu had experienced on that chilly island and the breaking of the news about her adoption. "Either way she needs to get over, in my opinion."
"And powers? We think it's some sort of healing ability though we're not sure," she laughed, "Mitsu's trying to keep it on the DL so she won't freak anyone out." Her thoughts, though, they worry me. Since when was meek little Mitsu power hungry?
"Asking me not to worry is like asking you if you like fire," Karri replied. Of course she'd still worry, though she wouldn't bug him about it. "I do hope your headache feels better soon. And your company is lovely as well."
"Ahh, sorry," Mitsu apologized not even realing how rude she had been. "Nice to meet you. I'm Mitsu." And just like that she was feeling more like herself. Even she could feel like slight change in the energy within herself. Mitsu accepted the piece of chocolate. It was one of her favorite things in the world. "Want a piece of my muffin?" she asked in exchange. It was the polite thing to do right? Mitsu smiled at the Ralts remembering when Karri was a small shy one herself. Would Riza's turn out as beautiful as Karri? You can't match this. . .haha, you know I'm joking, Karri smiled.

As Kilik was about to explain another idea that he had in mind, his PokeNav began to blare loudly. A midi-version of We Gotta Power began to whine through the Center. The sound made the boy jump and he scrambled away to answer it. "Hello? Kilik speaking."
Rena blinked and crossed her arms over her chest. She merely watched as more trainers came in and out of the Center. Who would be calling Kilik? She waited a few moments before walking over to him. "Who is it?" she whispered.
My dad he mouthed. "Oh? Yes. Yes sir," He slipped a hand into his pocket, "Wait, what? You...huh?" He practically did a double take on the phone. "One sec, dad." He placed his hand over the microphone and looked over at Rena. "He's...wanting to battle me."
Her jaw dropped to the floor. "Your dad? But why?" she placed a hand on her head, "That's so weird! Your dad doesn't need to ba-Why, there's no reason for him to!" Kilik did agree, but the chance to actually battle his father...He'd never actually seen any of his dad's Pokemon fight - they were all used for Excavation. He put the device back to his ear. "Just you and me? Nobody around? Sounds cool, dad." He hung up.
"Listen, Rena, I gotta go. It was great seeing you again," he patted her on the shoulder, "Hopefully I'll see you around the party." With that, he dashed out the door, feeling quite anxious.

Almost as soon as Mitsu's personality reverted back to normal, Ralts calmed down a bit and began to act a bit happier, now completely in awe of the tall, lovely Gardevoir in the center with her. She didn't know why but the exquisite Karri nearly captured her full attention, and she couldn't help but feel as though she had some connection to the other psychic-type. Riza watched the Gardevoir as well, also in awe of the Pokemon's grace and beauty. She accepted a small chunk of Mitsu's banana and nut muffin, only to have it whisked away by Sneasel who then shared it with Ralts. Smiling at her Pokemon Riza tried to covertly pull out her Pokedex and scan Karri, very much interested in the Gardevoir that looked like a much more grown up version of her own little Ralts. "Wow, so someday ralts could grow up to be a Gardevoir..." the raven haired girl remarked, mostly to herself. She closed the black and white device, realizing she hadn't thought very much about Pokemon and evolution. She'd never actually seen it happen before and she couldn't help but wish she could see it soon. Actually witnessing a pokemon changing form like that right in front of her had to be a sight and a half to see. She was still wondering when and if her own Pokemon would choose to evolve when she looked back over at Mitsu. "Your Gardevoir looks amazing," she commented, now very much interested in Mitsu, and wanted to know more about her. "Have you guys been together long? I've only been a trainer for about a week and a half myself," she said, realizing that she had never said that many words at once to a single person she'd met in all her journey thus far. Even Sneasel was surprised by her trainer's boldness and inched a little closer to her on her seat, vaguely unaware of the fact that she was sandwiching Ralts between herself and Riza. With an annoyed grunt Ralts closed her eyes and teleported in a small flash of greenish light, quickly reappearing atop one of the vending machines in the corner. She stuck her tiny little tongue out at sneasel, very much proud of herself.

"Thank you," was Mitsu quick reply. She had always been proud of the accomplishments that she and Karri had achieved together even if the two bickered like sisters at times. Laughing slightly at Riza's question she answered, "Since be beginning of time. We've been partners before I was even a trainer back in Mossdeep. Since I was small." She paused relaizing that her stature wasn't exactly very big, she was slightly short for her age, "Well, smaller."
"Your Sneasel looked pretty good too," she commented noticing the Pokemon scoot in a bit closer. She had always found them a little terrifying as they zipped across the gym floors slashing at thier opponents with thier razor sharp claws. "There were a few trainers who fought with them against Tate and Liza at the Mossdeep gym."
Karri opened a new channel, so to speak, to converse with a fellow kin while mantaining her current one with Mike. They were two seperate enities all together and the conversions would not mix unless she deemed otherwise. Ah, Psychic powers, what a gift. She didn't meet many of her kind often and it was always a welcomed sight. The little Ralts looked quite young and Karri herself remembered her days as a Ralts as well as a Kirlia. She had been extremely eager to evolve, I mean who wouldn't want a gorgeous figure like hers? She laughed to herself, light bells ringing through everyone's head in the Center. She loved having her new found, articulate laugher be heard.
"Show-off."
"You're just jealous."
She smirked before turning her attention back to her trainer's new aquantaince's Ralts. "I don't see many of our kind. How are you dear?" Her voice was captivating, as light and musical.

Before the first drop of rain even fell Kasiya set Nova down on the ground and called out Shocker, quickly telling the Raichu to bring the tiny Charmander out of the area in which the rain would fall. Grumbling a bit at being told to play Poke-sitter Shocker complied, picking the little lizard up in her arms and carrying her to safety, the first few droplets of rain causing the flame on Nova's tail to hiss and pop as the rain evaporated almost instantly. Nova didn't really understand at first why she'd been moved away from Kasiya, but when she saw the sand change from a nice, white colour to a soggy, deep brown, she realized that the rain was something she didn't want to be in, and instead she stuck close by Shocker's side. The Raichu sighed - a strong and amazing Pokemon like her, keeping an eye on this little brat when she should be out there battling for her trainer! There was no justice in the world.
Kasiya closed her eyes when the raindrops fell on her skin - it felt so nice and cooling for a split second she forgot that she was in a battle. She opened her eyes and looked towards Poliwag, grinning. That's the way, little guy! Show us what you can do! She knew that the rain would be quite detrimental for Ada who was already at a disadvantage with the water, but she knew just how to counter that. "Okay Ada, Sandstorm!" she shouted. The feeling of the sand sticking to her wet skin wouldn't be a nice one but there was a great big body of water right nearby for when the battle was through. Not only that but the Sandstorm would cut down the damage from Poliwag's Water-type attacks.
Ada didn't flinch when the rain began to fall, instead she kept her gaze fixed on Poliwag. She didn't want to admit it but she really didn't feel like battling. Battling meant getting stronger, and getting stronger lead to, well, getting bigger as well. It really was all in the young Larvitar's mind that her trainer wouldn't love her as much if she were to evolve to the next stage, and that very fact terrified her. Through the pouring rain she heard Kasiya call out a command. The Larvitar sighed and bowed her head, bringing her hands together before she stomped a foot down on the wet sand, causing it to tremble. Large chunks of rock began to shoot up from the sand into the air high above the battlefield, and on the Larvitar's command they began to rain down from they sky.
Oh great this is going to make me look like an awesome trainer, Kasiya thought, shaking her head. Since when does Ada ignore battle orders? "Ada! I said Sandstorm, not Rock Slide!" she shouted, her voice lost in the combined noises of the falling rocks and torrential rain.
=-=-=-=-= The very moment that the Dunsparce disappeared under the sand Flannery grinned. Torkoal looked at her over his shoulder and she nodded. "Torr-koooal!" the fiery tortoise cried, pulling each of his limbs into his shell followed lastly by his head, and he closed his eyes and waited. There was a sudden rumbling from below him and Torkoal was quick to concentrate, a shimmering, green barrier suddenly covering the Fire-type and completely protecting him from harm. There was an audible thud from underneath the Torkoal and his Protect shield, and even as Torkoal lowered it and backed away slowly the Dunsparce emerged from the sand, looking a bit dazed from running headlong into the barrier. "Now Torkoal, blast 'em with Overheat!" Flannery shouted. Her main weakness was the tendency to try and solve everything with Overheat, which was not only the trademark move of the Lavaridge Pokemon Gym, but also her favourite attack of all time, trumping even Fire Blast. There had been times where Overheat, growing weaker and weaker with each use, had failed her, but there were many more times when it had been just the ace in the hole she'd needed to pull off a wind or turn the tide of battle in her favor.
"Tooooooooorrrr....koooooooooaaaal!" Torkoal shouted, first building up the power within the coals set on his back, white smoke billowing out all around him. Then, he released the energy with tremendous power, a large fireball rocketing forward and slamming directly into the already dazed Dunsparce. The sand all around them was blackened instantly and a mixture of white, grey, and black smoke filled the area, obscuring all vision. I love that attack... an elated Flannery thought, not at all bothered by the intense heat her Pokemon had just released.

Changing the weather to her favor, I should have expected that. Crenu frowned a bit as he thought about the effect the rough sand was going to have on Poliwag. His water type attacks were going to become less effective with the sand taking away from the rain, and he was goign to take passive damage as well with every passing moment. Though he knew her Larvitar would be capable of sandstorm as well, he had forgotten take it into account when he issued his command. He had been hasty, and his pokemon would suffer for it. But as he watched the Larvitar move, he noticed that the rain clouds did not get blown away and instead they continued to pour rain onto the sandy battle field. I know that stance, but she didn't issue a Rock Slide command...maybe I gave Kasiya a little to much credit? No that couldn't be it. Upon closer observation it seemed like her Larvitar wasn't really in the battle. In fact, it almost looked like she didn't want to be there, but that didn't change the fact that an attack with plenty of destructive force was raining down on Poliwag. "Damn it, Poliwag use Watergun on the rocks!" Poliwags looked up at the onslaught of stones that were on a direct path to his current location. He wanted to run, but his orders were in direct contrast to his instinct. The rain water washed over his slimy skin and entered his body, it felt wonderful and empowering at the same time despite the eminent danger that Poliwag faced. Inhaling deeply, Poliwag shot out a powerful jet of water, much stronger than the ones he shot out under normal conditions, up at the falling rocks. Several of the rocks directly above him were pushed away, but there were still many more falling with great force. At most Poliwag only managed to slow down the attack and winced from the pain he felt as the remaining stones pelted him from the heavens. Bruised, Poliwag stood panting in the rain glaring at his opponent. "Damn, even with Rain Dance in effect your water gun still isn't strong enough. Can't be helped, that Larvitar is indeed stronger than I gave her credit for. Maybe you should sit this one out after all..." Poliwag gritted his teeth at this comment, he was trying hard but it still wasn't enough to satisfy his trainer. But he had a point, even with the cool rain giving him a power boost Poliwag was still to weak to fend off his opponent. He staired at the face of the Larvitar and recalled the words said in teh shack over and over again. He was not useless, he was not weak! As Poliwag was overcome by frustration and the need to be strong he began to glow brightly. His body expanded and grew talled, his tail began to shrink until it no longer existed. Instead of a tail, two arms took form and grew out of his sides as well as a more suitable pair of legs. His eyes moved to the top of his head and when the glowing subsided, a much larger Poliwhirl stood where the small and feeble Poliwag had been.

Robin couldn't help but stare at 'Ann' for a moment longer before she nodded. She may not be the smartest person in the world, in fact she was pretty sure she wasn't all that smart to begin with but even she knew that her name wasn't real. Still she decided not to say anything about it, sometimes it must be nice to be someone else. "All right, umm you two can lead the way, since you seem to know your way around this town." Motioning to the other two trainers she scooted over to where Jaeshan stood hoping she didn't become a sort of third wheel.
Ampersand just smirked slightly and shook his head at everyone. "Well I said I would treat so lets go." That said he started to head to where the town was. On his shoulder Luffy used his new height advantage to look at things from a whole new angle, everything seemed so different when you were another foot and a half up! Making his way through the town Ampersand led the small group til they reached a small building with a few tables outside of it. "Well here is the place, I hope y'all like Italian because this is one of the best well kept secrets in town." He grinned back at them looking pretty pleased with himself.
Robin didn't get to eat out a lot really, though ever since she started on her adventure she had been eating out more. The only Italian food she had really had was the spaghetti her mom made for dinner. So this was like a big treat to her and she could only stare up at the restaurant with wide eyes. "Wow, I have never had Italian food before." She muttered more to herself then anyone else. Upon saying that to herself she blushed slightly, ok so she didn't need to go announcing her lack of culinary experience to everyone...
Hearing her comment Ampersand just grinned back at her no hint of mocking on his face. He had grown up in the country and hadn't had much experience with food for the longest time either. "Well then little missie, you will like this place I promise you."

The younger girl simply shook her head some, vaguely amused by Sasha's mannerisms which was turning out to be a regular thing. She fell in to line behind her new friend, scanning the menu while she waited. Let's see...a cheeseburger for herself, and two hot dogs for Hans. Once Sasha moved away to claim a bench, Kirsa relayed her order to the lady behind the counter (which was almost as tall as she was) and waited patiently for her food to finish.
Once the lady with the red bandanna had handed over the food and Kirsa had paid, the purple haired girl made her way over to where Sasha and Prickles were, not at all minding that Sasha had started to eat without her. Settling herself on the other side of Prickles, Kirsa balanced her plate on her lap whilst she retrieved the Pokeball and released her furry companion. The Houndour blinked, clearly having been woken up mid-nap as he appeared in front of Kirsa. Perhaps Hans would have been on the grumpy side at being woken up so early into his nap, but the plate with the two hot dogs was set on the ground for him and he instantly forgot about sleeping and began to go to town on the frankfurters.
"So...what exactly is supposed to happen at this party? I know they are unveiling new Pokemon, but it just doesn't seem like conferences and parties mix." She spoke as she partially unwrapped her burger, taking a bite once she had finished speaking. Hm...it was quite good. Kirsa wasn't the kind to deny herself any kind of food, but she would double her evening workout after eating such a meal. She took another bite, the tips of her boots barely touching the ground.

Train listened absentmindedly to the conversation going on between M.A. and her brother, looking between the Pokemon that were out and about by the table, who all looked a bit smaller next to the newly evolved Donphan that was Tora. Her gaze settled upon the Smeargle again as it was mentioned, but soon enough she was pulled from spacing out when Sae spoke to her.
"Oh, it's fine," The teenager said quickly. Pikachu's ears perked up at the mention of Pokemon food while Train replied to the waiter. "Uhm, a soda, please? Cola?" She wasn't sure what kind of soda they had, but usually most places had some for a cola, so she'd figured she'd try it.

It was all quite sudden, as one minute they were all about to head for lunch, then the next both Riza and Kilik were dashing off to do their own thing. Granted Riza's Sneasel had run off and Kilik had an important battle to get to, but it was the principle of the thing. He looked over to Rena and nodded. "Well, since they're all gone I'm gonna go to. It as nice meeting you," he said before turning to head towards the rooms the Pokemon Center offered to all of the trainers. He washed up quickly in one of the washrooms before investigating the halls, and going into the first vacant room he came across. He hadn't slept all that well last night and he'd been up fairly early and he was very eager to have a nap. If he was going to get through the rest of this day among all of these people and not lose it, he needed a rest. Lunch could wait; his sanity could not.
Since he was already wearing not much of anything he flopped down on the bed face-first, his eyes closing immediately and before he could even turn over to get more comfortable he was asleep. His dreams were vague yet terrifying, filled with destruction and mayhem while all he could do was stand there and watch, unable to act or even so much as speak a single word. At first it seemed as though it would never end, until suddenly a large chunk of debris from a broken building was hurtling towards him, and yet he was frozen in place, unable to move or even scream...
And just like that the redhead was jolted awake, a fine layer of perspiration covering his exposed skin. His heart was pounding against his ribcage to the point where it almost hurt and groaning, he rolled over onto his back and checked the time. He'd been out for only a half hour, but it had been the longest half hour he'd ever experienced. Grumbling to himself he did his best to calm his racing heart and get his stuff before heading back out into the lobby. By now he was feeling incredibly hungry, and that combined with the nightmare he'd just experienced put him in a fairly sour mood, and aside from lunch there was really only one thing that would make him feel any better, and that would be seeing Kasiya out there in the lobby somewhere.
This wasn't the case, however, and instead he saw three familiar figures standing over by the vending machines. One of them was Mike, and another Riza, but the third actually nearly made him retreat back into the dorms - Mitsu. He hadn't seen much of her since the festival and the mere thought of her and that blue Houndoom of hers was enough to send his scarred right arm into a painful, burning fury. He took a deep breath and calmed himself before heading over to the machines, the angry, pink scar clearly visible on his right arm. After looking over the choices he decided on wide variety of things, everything from sandwiches to junk food. He didn't care what it was as long as it was edible.

Ralts turned her attention over to the lovely Gardevoir and grinned, giving the bigger Pokemon a thumbs up. She was still young and learning to control her psychic powers and for now telepathy was a bit out of her reach. She teleported from her position on top of the vending machine as a boy with bright red hair approached, reappearing on top of Riza's head. With a slight flourish of her arm, she used her Confusion ability and floated the last piece of chocolate out of Riza's hands and up into hers, where she happily bit into it, continuing to watch Karri with very keen interest. Riza just sighed and plucked the cute Pokemon from her head, cuddling her in her arms. 'I wonder if Ralts will ever become a beautiful Gardevoir like Karri...'
She hadn't noticed that Keegan had came into the room until just now, and at first she made a motion to say something but stopped herself at first. He looked like he'd just woken up and seemed to be pretty grumpy. 'Maybe he's mad that I ran off earlier,' she thought, frowning a bit. She still didn't say anything, only continued to sit and watch all the new people around her. So far the day hadn't been as bad as she thought it would be.

Sapphire howled. The blue Houndoom was seriously pissed off. He mashed his fangs together before charging at the larger Arcanine who continued to taunt him. Think you're better than me. Think you're such a hot shot. Think you can. Beat. Me?! The blue fire Pokemon slammed into a rather surprised Arcanine for a second time.
His pained and surprised yelp was music to Sapphire's ears. After two nights of missing attacks due to his fiery counterpart's skilled dodgeing Mitsu's Houndoom had finally managed to nail down the slippery foe. But Arcanine wasn't going to put up with this. His charge was accompanied with a fierce roar. So swift that his momentarily disappeared he crashed into Sapphire with an Extreme Speed and just as quickly sent a plume of red hot flames at the still-recovering Houndoom.
After the series of brutal attacks Sapphire was seriously wounded. More gashes and bruises to match his purpling ones from yesterday. But hell no! He was not going down without a fight. The damned Arcanine was going to have to knock him out stone cold and then drag his limp body to the Pokemon Center before that happened. Sapphire had always had a thing agasint defeat, but Touya's Arcanine simply brought out the inferiority complex within him. With a final howl he chraged once more, another Take Down, at his opponent, determined to take down that beast of a Pokemon.

Kilik leaned against a tree, looking around him. Everyone was gone - even the checkpoint leading to the Bicycle Road seemed absolutely deserted. Where was his dad wanting to meet him? He crossed his arms over his chest and sighed. He heard a sharp whistle. "Sounds like the one I do!" he laughed, looking around. Through the trees, he could see his dad motioning for him. The boy climbed over some rocks and random debris to meet his father. "So...why are you battling me?"
"Well, Kilik, as you know..." he began, placing his hands behind his back like he always did when he was beginning a long story. "Your Great-Granpappy Jabba was the strongest Ranmo in decades. You come from a long long line of Pokemon Excavators. Yet Jabba was different," Joeseph closed his eyes and lit a pipe, once more clasping his hands behind him. "He didn't want to dig. He loved the thrill of the battle. And I will admit, I do too every once in a while, but deep down I am an Excavator. You see, every Ranmo up until Jabba was a digger. Then your Granpappy Jerimiah, and me of course." He paused for a moment, kicking a stray lump of dirt.
Kilik raised an eyebrow. "Dad, that's all great and everything, but I really don't see how this has to do with me." Though it was an interesting story: Kilik didn't really know too much about his family history or why in the world everyone was so fascinated with digging. More so, this just keeps adding on to my question as to why I'm the only person in my entire family to have a name starting with K...
"It has everything in the world to do with you, my boy!" He pulled his pipe from his mouth and looked at his son. "You see, you have that same spark as your Great-Granpappy! I want to see if my assumptions are correct. I want to know if you're destined to surpass him and go down in our family's history!" With that, Joe put his pipe back in his mouth and pulled a Pokeball from his pocket.
Once more, the boy was confused. But if it was a fight his dad wanted, then it was a fight he was going to get. "Alright, Dad! But don't expect me to go easy on you!" He snatched up Lairon's Pokeball. This was business. "I'll show you that I'm not only the strongest Ranmo, but one of the strongest Trainers around!" Ah...bonding time.

Mitsu looked up to check on her Psychic only to connect eyes with a familair red head. Or at least she thought thier eyes had met. Seeing him sent a jolt of guilt down her spine making the already pale girl turn a sickly shade. She could only remember the events all too clearly. Herself clad in a Rocket uniform fighting all her friends for the safety and well being of her Gyrados. Even then she failed, the poor Pokemon was still tramatized. She had lost the battle as well, though that was part of the plan. But not only that, she had burned Keegan with Sapphire's Ember. She couldn't even remember if she had gotten the chance to properly apologize for it or if he had dashed away before she could.
But she had a chance now though she wasn't sure if she bring up the subject. Maybe he didn't want to be reminded of the unfortunate event, the sour look on his face reassuring her. But I could heal it now! She thought, the voice pounding. I could make up for it. I could do something good for once. The look on her face soon was twisted in pain. He was just another person she had hurt, intentionally or not. She shook her head, making up her mind. " `Scuse me Riza," she said quickly before standing up. She looked over at Keegan, giving him a weak smile before quickly pulling away.
Unaware of how she had managed to drag the much larger boy, she pasued at an empty hallway. It must have been a rather empty wing for most of the lights were dimmed or blocked out by thick, dark curtains. She stared at his shoes while she spoke, "Look, I'm really sorry about what happened at the Cherry Blossom Festival. I never meant to have Sapphire burn you, he never meant to either." She paused leaving out the bit about how he must hate her. Though she felt that it was true.
"Please don't tell anyone about this, and I'm really sorry about it too." And with that she grabbed his right arm exactly where the burns and scars were. The motion itself must have hurt. She closed her eyes and concentrated. Slowly, but surely, her palms began to turn green and she could feel the heat and pain rush up into her through her arm. Her face contorted with pain, though it wasn't nearly as bad as her first healing with Touya, which had nearly taken her life. She hoped he was feeling soothed, it was the expected result on the recieving end. Finally, after what felt like ages Mitsu snapped her eyes open, clearly in pain. So that's what burns from a Houndoom felt like. To feel that constantly, it must have been hell. She released his arm after a moment of steading herself. Healing truely took a toll on her and she was incredibly amazed to have managed it successfully. Mitsu looked down at his arm glad to see it healed. "I hope you feel better. And that this makes up for my dumb mistake," she said, half gasping for air.
