Raesha -~o..Klody..o~- and im in love with the one in your sig! the person who did it are on gaia or its an RL commish? redface They are on Gaia, but only take rl commissions....seems like the going rate is typically around $75... sweatdrop Lili--thank for the update on Luciole. whee ; Don't worry, I don't think anyone here was bashing her...we were just a little concerned. 3nodding Speaking of which...I don't suppose you know the status of my sketchbook commission from Luc? xd ; I'm waiting patiently, but it's deffinatly the most I've ever spend on a commission, so I'm getting kind of anxious about it. whee kiriko--I'll definatly help out! ...after work though. sweatdrop *gotta be there in 45 minutes* I'll pm you with my choice. ^_^ I know people were concerned which is why I just wanted to point some things out. I didn't mean to 'cause any trouble, I apologize. I was only doing what I thought was right for both parties. Luc's gonna kill meee! Ooo, I'm not sure about the sketchbook commission, I haven't heard anything about that. Have you been in contact with her recently? I think you should ask her for an update on how's the sketchbook going. 3nodding

Lilithia j A d e d Lilithia Kia is getting an A2 size of this original which is why the price is so high as she does not usually sell these. She created it for Kia's contest & she does not usually sell this size for commissions which is why Kia is paying that much. Her payment includes shipping. we are not attacking, lili, so the bold 25 size letters are not necessary. stare it's that if its' 150 us dollars that's a lot for shipping. but kia said that it's a contest entry and you that her payment INCLUDES shipping, so that means she paid for a contest entry AND for it to be shipped? confused No, no, no. Luc made the piece & Kia wants the original so Kia's buying the original with RL money! how is it a no lili? in a sense, kia is paying for her own contest entry. and if the entry wins a prize, then she'll be paying double for it( real and gaia). i see. that just doesn't sit well with me. i can understand selling an original...sure, we all do that. it being a contest entry..just..complicates matters some.

Oh I get it! Well if you put it that way you have a point. 3nodding Kia still wants the original though. Contests are so complicated. x___X

I don't really see that it is complicated. She has entered that image in the contest, as eligible for a prize, thereby giving it to kia. The original is still the image, just the form it was in before it was scanned. Paying a fee for shipping makes sense, as it does cost to mail, and even paying handling charges. However, paying for an image you already /own/, by virtue if it being entered in the contest, seems like being taken advantage of. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but entry in the contest does confer ownership of the image, and usage rights, although those may be limited (people may still retain rights to use as a print or not want people to profit commercially from it). I don't really see a proper justification for selling an image to a person who already owns it. The image is still the image, regardless of if you own its original form or not. It basically seems like taking advantage of kia, or having ones cake and eating it too. In this way she both gets real life money and possibly can win the contest. To be frank, I think she should withdraw the entry if she is going to sell it, otherwise it generates a conflict of interest that is unfair to the other people entered in the contest. The better option would be to arrange any transactions like that after the contest was over and completely judged.

If i do end up buying it. Which is looking very unlikely at the moment seeing as I have NO money to my name at the moment. Then it will be taken out of the contest.

Sabin Duvert Nora - 4laugh Clarion arts! heart Eee, yes! She spoils me. <3 She drew me this pretty sketch once too: I saw that she got second in your contest, she deserved it, her pic was so great. (I had fun watching the oekaki animation of it XD) Quote: *gets to Kia's reply* *nods* Okay - see that sounds fair to me :3 - you can't have something be a commission AND a contest entry. 3nodding I think that's the fairest thing to do as well.

Noraboo It was done by the user Corpse Bride, as a contest submission. ^_^ :edit: Oh, and she did it in MS paint! I'm very impressed, it looks like an oekaki. Technically mspaint is an oekaki program, it's just the most basic form....(sorry i'm obsessed with mspaint** What lovely images. Zephyree who did the second image? It's lovely
