Camwen I'm just happy my daughter is finally over her deathly fear of skeleton and skull decorations. Last year we could hardly take her anywhere during the month of October. She didn't even want to go trick-or-treating. Both of my girls are like that. They both want to go trick or treating but any house that looks too scary they don't want to go near it lol. They can't sit through the first 10 minutes of Aladdin because of the scary cave scene... They are slowly getting better but I'm honestly worried about my eldest's fears.. At the rate we're going now she'll never learn to swim, bike or even wash properly (cause we won't get our face wet...*sigh*) I try to be patient and show her there is nothing to be scared of.. but she's gotten water up her nose and soap in her eyes before.. Once something goes wrong she's terrified of it for life... *sigh* Speaking of my monsters they got early dismissal today so it's off to go help with homework now.. ttyl.

Your daughter sounds like my son. He's come a long way in the last couple of years (he's 10 now) but he still refuses to ride a bike. I got him a scooter and he does well with that. I keep trying to convince him that if he can steer and balance on a scooter a bike's pretty easy.

I feel the pain on the water up the nose thing. Not that I won't swim, but to this day I hate water up my nose so I don't do diving boards or handstands in the water or anything like that which would require the use of both hands while my head is underwater. If I'm going under I need to be able to pinch my nose :<

Good afternoon! The kids have the day off of school but later my son's Tae Kwon Do teachers are running a "parents night out" thing. For two and a half hours they're watching all the young students (and siblings), feeding them pizza and playing games. So the parents can have time to go out to eat or whatever. My hubby and I are going to go see a movie. A non PG or G movie!! All by ourselves!!! eek I think were going to see Zombieland.

Well what a CRAPTASTIC day it has started out to be.... earlier this morning GF and I got woken up by her mom, to find out that a family friend had got killed in a car accident this morning... everyone is very down over here now... I did not ever get to meet the person, but seeing how the GF feels makes me feel very sad also. Atleast I am here for her, I am like her pillow as I always have been and will be for the rest of the family if they need a shoulder to cry on or just talk to.

*huggles Lamb* Sorry to hear about the sadness in your gf's life. My heart goes out to her and all those affected.
I came in to rant about my craptastic day.. but mine is no where near that bad.. mostly just a huge lack of sleep due to the youngest having nightmares and "invisble vomit" eek and then running the oldest off to the dentist (during what I was desperately hoping would be nap time) because she chipped her front tooth at school... which turned out to be a huge waste of time as she wouldn't stop crying long enough for them to do anything.. and just for the record it was not "pain-induced-crying" it was just "I'm too scared" crying.. The nerve is not exposed or anything.. she'll be fine.. and whenever she's ready to have it fixed we can have it done.
I think I'm gonna nap on the couch until Noch gets back from the store with groceries... *yawn* I hope everyone has a much nicer weekend.. Love you all!

Lamb, I'm so sorry. *hugs* Well, your girlfriend couldn't ask for a better support system than you. Take care okay? *extra hugs*
Just so people know, I won't be around for most of the weekend with the exception of night time (well, night time over here) so if you need me for the next two days, PM might be the best route. Have a good weekend everyone ^_^

I'M GOING TO BE A JEDI FOR HALLOWEENS! xd lol I can honestly say that I have never been anything star wars related for Halloween before, a sad realization I came to at work today. SO I am going to buy the awesome Jedi robe off of ThinkGeek.com and pick one of my many light sabers and have a good ol' time this year! I just need the right tunic-ie top and some boots, cuz I don't own either of those. confused

GF, Dad and I are going out of town tomorrow to give her Aunt some support since she was really really close to the friend who passed. Also we may be up there for at least a week if she is really bad off for support.. but Laptop is coming with us.. so we can update everyone.

Keep us updates, Lamb. I do hope everyone feels better soon.
I got a bit of bad news from my doctor m'self this morning- she thinks I might have a seizure disorder. Here's hoping the MRI and EEG go well.
So... Has anyone here ever had an MRI? ....Can you tell me what to expect?
I've never had one and I'm a tad bit nervous >.<;

My herniated spot on my kidney burst Wednesday night and I have spent the time since in hospital up til this afternoon. Just dropping a note for if anyone was wondering where the manic elf was.
Sorry to hear about your GF's friend, Lamb, pass on my condolences. Be strong for her.
Nobody asks me to make lightsabers despite my having done so for nearly 20 years. razz

@Bonita -Well Hello! I am Lamb! Nice to see a new face around here! *hugs* This is our main chat thread... alot of randomness pops up here from time to time..! Many of our other forums have fun things, like the play room for polls etc, Life Styles section is for our more serious talks.. hope that helps a little bit.
