Ginji of Thunder Why is everything to my dismay all the time? Avalanching Swampert. And Thard it is the same water team from last year with one major modification... my Empoleon had a Petaya berry. That took it from my worst Pokemon to my MVP.

Petaya Berry?.... You had some means of boosting speed, right? Because last I checked, Empoleon wasn't all that fleet-footed. And it doesn't get any priority Special Attacks. Aside from that, I definitely see the advantage to the stat berry plus Torrent.

Thard_Verad Petaya Berry?.... You had some means of boosting speed, right? Because last I checked, Empoleon wasn't all that fleet-footed. And it doesn't get any priority Special Attacks. Aside from that, I definitely see the advantage to the stat berry plus Torrent. Agility. It was amazing when I out sped Blizz's Jolteon.

Not all of my movesets are cookie cutter though...
I forget what Pokemon it was, but after I made a moveset for it, it turned out to mimic the Smogon entry about it exactly except for the EV spread. Stupid barren move pool. Haha.
Though Smogon (or Serebii's POTW) can be an excellent starting point if you're lost on what the Pokemon is capable of doing on a team. Though I don't like using them exactly, sometimes I will mimic it pretty close and then play with its effectiveness and modify from there.
And I always do love Thard's teams because of his awesome creative sets. His last tourney team was really cool and took a lot of people by surprise.

I may try a creative team at some point, but I felt a rain dance team was appropriate for the leader of Aqua. And I really didn't feel like making a new team, so I didn't.

I've used Serebii's PotW to gather ideas sometimes, but I also like to break out of the "standard" movesets. Too bad my Acme team didn't get enough chances to blow up.
Had I remembered to sign up before the cutoff (yes, the deadline completely slipped my mind), I probably would've reused a team as well. You remember the one with Hypnosis Crobat as the lead? Yeah, that team. Crobat's best victory was during a non-Team tournament, taking out a bulky Vaporeon as the last member of both of our teams.
Stupid Wish/Protect. Finally won thanks to a bit of luck and a bit of well-timed strategy.

Especially sinse I just got the Eeveelution I wanted from Nintendo's game.

Well, I know it's down, and It'll be down until Japan is.... healthy again? I guess would be the best way to put it? I dunno. But I really can't wait till it's up and running.
