Batman and Ironman are very intelligent but aren't gods and tricking a trickster god is a hard task indeed. Out of who named I would say only Thor would have a chance of hurting Loki however, Batman and Ironman might be able to guide Thor.

He's a trickster stealing things is very much in his nature. As far as holding your girlfriend hostage he could've done much worse things to her.

We can get back what she took and cause her some pain and annoyance though.
