Immolation. In the eyes of many religions, fire purifies. It's a very primitive viewpoint, but we're talking about a nun, after all. I think it's a shame that they didn't at LEAST examine the book for any kinds of "do not burn" warnings. It's clear as day, in the fine print, on the back cover.
