On the one hand, I can't sleep, I can't shake Xipe Totec from my head. gonk On the other hand, I finished the first trade of The Invisibles tonight, and am more interested than the first half led me to believe I would be. And now, for something I haven't said in a ******** you Spider, why you gotta make my head hurt so much, even when you're not around?

RaeRae Rave The end of Bebop always makes me cry. Cartoons are the worst for me because I usually do watch all the episodes of ones I like and really get into it, (the only tv show I've ever done that with was Friends), so I get that sort of connection with the characters. And then poof, something happens D: I don't cry a lot, but I do get pretty intense emotional connections to stories, especially in longer running TV series and comics.
Lets see what movies I cried at that I can remember:
- I ******** bawled at The Notebook, and I'm getting a little misty just thinking about the "Why didn't you write?" scene. - The end of Thelma and Louise. I think it was really Harvey Keitel getting upset and running after the car that really did it for me. - Munich. A few times. Spielberg's true masterpiece.
TV Shows: - The very end of the "33" episode of Battlestar Galactica. - The first season finale. ********/>- The "Company Man" episode of Heroes. Heroes got me a couple times, but the big ones were the later revelations about HRG and Claire walking out of the house regenerating was just devastating. - The two-part season finale of David Tennant's first as The Doctor. Incredible TV.
Anime: - Kamina's death, duh. - The last episode of Cowboy Bebop - The culmination of the arc with the blind woman in Samurai Champloo - Misato and Asuka's deaths in End of Evangelion
That's all I can really think of at the moment.

EdwardHau I lost Blink 182, I'd been listening to them since I was in middle school. crying Rage Against the Machine, too. I count Smashing Pumpkins, because I dislike their stuff a lot now and it's just not the same. Soundgarden. The Smiths, Nirvana, Soundgarden. I don't count The Smashing Pumpkins because I ******** love Zeitgeist. I'm lucky that my favourites have longevity. Twenty years of conceptual continuity equals KMFDM, and Nine Inch Nails speaks for itself.

hilaroma I'm seriously out of it right now. I don't know if it's just because I'm so mentally tired right now, or if it's because I'm going through a difficult time with my life in general. Whatever it is, I want to feel excited about learning, living...everything again. I really miss my friends right now. I miss the fun we used to have...I miss just seeing them in general. One of the only things getting me through my day is remembering that you guys are always here, that I can always talk to someone here. I don't know what I'd do without you, honestly. You ARE my home away from home and I'm so thankful for that. Anyway, I was originally going to just apologize for any mistakes I may have made on the Secret Santa thing so far because I feel like I'm screwing up all over the place...but I'm glad I could tell you guys how I feel. IRON FIST! heart

Shoujo Phoenix 3.14 Shoujo Phoenix Internet just came back up after 11 hours of being down. -.- I'm really starting to feel blah about all these Gaia sponsorers now. I know it gets them money and all, but I can't fight the feeling of sell-out. sad Gaia is drifting away from it's roots. After holding back from believing that for a while, I finally agree with that. Gaia doesn't feel like the Gaia it used to be. It's just turning into another money-making machine for those who run it. They cater to the vast majority who make up the site; newbies. There are still those who say they do still think about their older and loyal members, but I've really not seen this.
I'm glad we still have this guild though. It's almost a safe haven from the bullshit that's going on.I am inclined to agree. I'll bet my bottom dollar that Gaia panels this next year will have plenty of fans whining about it too, but then Lanzer will unveil the Ragnarok Online-esque battle system video, assure them it will be out by the holiday season, backed by the beeleeons of dollars Gaia online is going to be raking in, and everyone will quiet down. Basically...Gaia has become THE place for any preteen-early teen company to advertise on. Be prepared for far more advertising assaults and announcements telling us how Hot Topic pants can be purchased for your avatar for 2.50... Oh AG...I hope we never fade away. emo

TweedleKeys Burnout Paradise Demo: Where are my crashes? Seriously there has to be crashes. I don't care if they have never been mentioned. I will put my fingers in my ears and 'la la la I can't hear you' like a fantard. Where are they? As unrealistic as it was, I'm going to miss rear-ending for boost. Traffic attack was one of the most destressing games I've ever played. I can see how they would want to scale back the total unbelievability though. It's a bit harder to take people down (or maybe I'm just way out of practice.) The demo is pretty short, one of each event type. As such, you wander around for a while finding a bunch of locked events until you can find the actual events. Of course, I say its short, but it might take me a while to figure out how to beat the stunt run. In a way, it really does feel a bit like San Andreas minus the rest of San Andreas. Ramps everywhere for your usage. Special jumps (billboards). Lots of wandering around. I do like the billboards, hopefully those replace the signature takedowns. The smashes are stupid though. I'll probably end up getting the game. Right now it seems not as fun but once I get my head around the many possibilities of pathfinding in races and setting up combos for stunt runs, I think it will become pretty interesting. I just hope it also allows for the simple pleasures of easy destruction when needed. In the end I can still just go play Revenge some more if I want to... because total payback is always its own reward. I ******** love Revenge. Any racing game that rewards me for just going batshit and wrecking the other cars is my kind of game and nothing else really delivers in the same way. NFSU2 is a huge guilty pleasure for me, especially the drifting, but Burnout is just pure mindless fun.
