Ashram McDuck So I rented the first DVD of the new JEEG. Anyone who bought this particular DVD was seriously ripped off. ONE episode. (as awesome as it was, mind) ..wtf, Japan.

Hi everyone!
I missed you all tons. Been crazy busy with school and stuff...update: I bombed my GRE. lawlz. Going to school for one more academic year to finish my lit degree on top of my history degree so that should be fun.
You all know i got engaged...so there's nothing new there...
Um, let's see...
I think that's about it. Sorry I missed out on all the cool holiday stuff you guys are planning. I'm totally jealous! crying Maybe next year.
So, yeah...should be around more often in the next few weeks. So...RAWR!

It seems to be the new trend. sweatdrop It makes sense to get the first episode out quickly to gain interest and to give people who are unsure a "preview" if it's a series, but....2400 yen + shipping for only one episode!? Robbery! gonk

Shoujo Phoenix Phoenix Goliathane Shoujo Phoenix Phoenix Goliathane To be fair...why do I have a feeling that was either a mistake or a hacking/scamming? gonk Something doesn't feel right about that - if you have anything remotely as expensive as headphones (and I mean, like, just a tail or even an OMG), you'd do your homework before selling that s**t. gonk It's one of those things that I'd feel really bad about, and if I were in your position, I'd probably have sold them back to the guy for what I paid. But that's just me.

Yay for all of you!!! heart Stupid Rivers Cuomo is not answering his phone or my emails... I hope he remembers he's supposed to hold me tight for the holidays! I'd settle for another member of Weezer, or Ozma.... damn rockers. scream So this is the first holiday in four or five years in which I haven't been seeing someone. It's weird!! And nice, and sad. At least I don't have to worry about what to get as a present. I wonder if I have just been too awful to others in the past. Ah, I shouldn't think this way... I should go back to playing Sudoku on Brain Age.

Living in Japan, there is seriously no point in buying DVDs. They're super expensive, usually have few to no extra features...you might as well just go to Tsutaya or any comparable media-renting store and rent them. Even if you like to re-watch your movies, you'll still pay less renting the same movie 4 or 5 times than you would just buying it. talk2hand Foreign movies are a little bit of a different story since they're always cheaper to buy, but why the heck would you buy Lord of the Rings/Die Hard/any foreign-made movie in Japan unless you needed or wanted the the Japanese subtitles/voice track?
