"They had calvary spears. they wanted strength and speed...but they didn't want to trigger a far more obvious search by stealing your champion bloodlines. and if you want to stay here, that's fine. but the Droag would have been a good choice. they can be invisible with properly trained in the right skills. I have several that are for such purposes."
before glancing between the Intharas, and heading up to see his wife and she how she was feeling.

"You're pep talking me, aren't you?" Giving a snicker snort but in good natured fashion to that one. "I'm sure I could always force people to put up with me and then there would be no need for me to be initiative." Poking fun at himself slightly but then just shrugging his own statement off. But a narrowed look a moment. "Ha ha no. That's hardly something that's my problem. Blue is a rather fetching color in case you didn't know and that is something I don't even have to worry about getting." Why not be a little cocky right? "Come on really...I seriously don't need to find myself toe to toe with someone I really don't need to be for whatever reason."
Well...it was worth a shot to try to get the child to walk. But his attention came up to his wife as she called his name. "I'll go with you...after all you'd just call me anyway to either reach the things that are high up, or make me translocate things." Giving her a grin and extending a hand out to her then as Malik meandered off. "This place is a fortress after all, better make use of it."
He frowned as the baby knocked down all the work that had been done. Sure, the pieces weren't out of order, but they were still knocked down and would have to be put back up...or else they couldn't finish. "Kelligrin...gotta be careful!" Thusly continuing to pout and crossing his arms in pissy fashion. "Now gotta start again!"
Piper was indeed upstairs in thier room, curled up in the middle of thier bed as if she owned the whole thing, her hair draping her person as it pleased. Sheets and such were duly kicked to the end of the bed, and she had coveted all the pillows, making herself a nice little wall of sorts in which she was happily snuggled down in. After all, she was the one who was up with Dhairiss...not that she needed reverie anymore, she had caught up...she was mostly just being lazy now and taking the extra that came with everyone else being occupied over whatever downstairs.

"What are friends for?" he countered with a grin. He knew Malikhai would be just fine at the school as long as Piper could be convinced. Most wouldn't mess with him because of who his father was and the ones that might consider it would be won over by his attitude and demeanor. If Malikhai had more social exposure he'd have a whole passel of friends. Rolling his eyes for a moment, he chuckled, "Yes because to women who love the sight of rich dark chocolate and luminous jeweled eyes, an elf who looks like he got into trouble with dyes and eyes the color of dust will definitely appeal." Still messing around. "The only group you need to watch out for are the Orbben. At least that's what they call themselves. Not a pleasant group and just about all that's left of the Llothian empire."
Kelligrin glanced at Dhairiss for a moment and looked like he was about to cry. "Sorry..." Any potential tears were stopped when his oldest sister dragged him into her lap and went about distracting him with an enchanted book that let him touch the things they were talking about.
"Oh good, coming voluntarily means I won't have to drag you." She was distracted a moment by the sounds of children scuffling in the library but they seemed to settle down quickly enough so she grabbed his hand, waited for him to translocate them and then started moving into rooms. "Get Kelligrin's bag packed and I'll do the girls. You can move onto Zykariel or he can come back later and do his himself."

Malik gave a slight grin, and walked over to his wife, lightly brushing her hair with his fingers, and leaned over and gave her a soft kiss.
"Really that tired, were you? why didn't you let me deal with dhairiss if you were that exhausted?"
settling down on the bed and leaning on her wall of pillows.
"you're oldest son has a request that I said I would pass by you."

We're they cute doing what men did? Making fun of each other only so they can express thier own egos. Boys would be boys no matter what wouldn't they? Thusly he rolled his eyes. "Color of mithril thank you, and if they look deep enough, some gold. Shows how observant you are. Then again I wouldn't want you looking deeply and longingly into my eyes. We'd both feel out of place." Walking over and plopping in the chair at the desk in his room. "Llothian? I thought that was all but gone now...they let girls like that go to school in Vesendar? Let me guess, they're all sisters and that's thier House name, right?"
"You can't drag me if I don't want you to." But yes a trip home and it was once again a moment to pack up mostly personal things for another extended stay over at the fortress. And old practice by now, and the process what quite efficent. Which meant he went around the two boys' rooms, gathering what they would need before moving to find his wife. "Best to just do it all in one trip, anything you need from the training rooms?"
She smiled lightly as he had brushed at his little commonplace affections before turning a look over her shoulder at him with still half lidded eyes. "He wouldn't stay down, eveytime I thought he did, and tried to myself I'd just get tugged on five minutes later. And we have too much going on right now for you to be the one that's weary." Triple colored eyes watching him settle down on her little structure of supreme comfort as she liked to think about it. "Oh no, something else now? He's been on this kick for days now. What more could he possibly want at the moment?"

He snorted and shook his head then threw Malikhai's own pillow at him. "And our father's might have to take us out back and teach us a thing or two and that wouldn't be pleasant for any involved. Sadly, I think my mother would be right next to him too..." Going quite for a moment as his own thoughts took over before he lifted his hand. "I need that back." Referring to the pillow he'd thrown a moment earlier. "Two sisters but the guys are the worst and there's about five of them. Kind of a reverse Llothian in some respects, it's odd. And no, dirt eyes whose drow is sadly lacking, it's spider in drow. Just ignore them and you should be fine."
She chuckled since they both knew that was true enough. Heading upstairs, she quickly packed three bags for the girls and then took care of her and Sevilin's as well. She had a nice little pile of bags on the floor before glancing up and shaking her head. "As long as Malik kept his rooms stocked with everything I put in originally, we should be alright. Just in case though, grab some of this." Handing off a list to him and then moving into the newly made nursery, running her hands over the crib railing. "He has to be in the nursery with the others, doesn't he?"

Malik smirked.
"Zykariel has convinced him to try his luck and ask if we'll let him accompany the Inthara's to school for social and female interaction and experience. I said I'd consult you on it, and if you decide that he can, he's still going with a bodyguard."
and another kiss.
"And I can handle the added stress you know. you're not invincible."

"Yes, there is that too. But I'm afraid you're simply not my type anyway...you're far too hard headed." Not that he had a defined type, but that was another argument/discussion. A frown then. "You know, you don't deserve my pillow, talking about my eyes like that. You simply can't appreciate the finer things in life such as my said eyes." Boys and their egos were insufferable sometimes. "And my drow is not lacking...I know what your name is in drow but I don't call you that in common do I? Besides, I wouldn't be poking at me about languages when you only know common and drow." So there. Childish, but yeah. "I still don't see how they got in at Vesendar, but whatever. Not like I'll have to watch my own back, I have someone to do that for me. "So then, general schedule is?"
And there was a list, of course there was a list. Thusly he took said list and a bag and went about gathering up things. At least she had labeled everything in her own room finally, he could actually fetch everything that she wanted him to. By the time he got back upstairs though he taught the tail end of her question. "Well, I'm not moving a crib from that nursery to where we'll be staying...and yes he does have to sleep in the nursery with all the others who are still too young to have rooms of their own. " Watching her a moment. "Zahara...you can't coddle him forever. He has to get off your hip eventually."
That merely got one of her 'I am hearing you correctly, right?' looks for a few seconds. After all, the point of not sending Malikhai off to learn somewhere else was to let him actually grow at his own pace....which in her opinion was probably a lot faster than some. The boy had drive if anything. But yes, he was a bit socially lacking. Girls? Well...Piper didn't mind too much on that issue. "Those two can talk each other into anything, can't they?" Sighing and shaking her head, rolling over to lie on her back so she didn't have to fight her collar to look over her shoulder as she had been. "How long is he planning on playing with the other children so to speak?" Though a light smile and she lifted a hand to brush over his cheek. "But I like to think I am, remember? It's one of those things you both love and despise about me. Point is I don't want to add stress...you'll get all mean and malicious."

"You couldn't win me over anyway. I'm hard to please." Moving fluidly, he slipped off the bed and yanked the pillow away from Malikhai, flopping back down with it. "Your pillow likes me and doesn't give a damn about your eyes. So there." He lounged back, a relaxed panther and quirked an eyebrow. "How many times in your life have you actually used surface elvish? And not counting when you're around your grandfather and company." Schedule? He thought about it for a moment, "Hour or so of math and then various other crap that they throw at us. We do some magic stuff and fighting. Break for lunch. Potions an d some more physical activities in the afternoon. It's all pretty basic and you'll pick it up in no time."
She wanted to point out that he could very easily move it through translocation but she knew he wouldn't. "And why not? I don't want to stop coddling and loving on him. They start out so little and dependent and all they see is me and you. Once they become mobile they get curious and start picking out other things to take interest in and then before I know it they're walking and telling me that they don't need me anymore. I don't even get to heal them anymore." She paused a moment, reaching in and picking up Rawr, petting over his many-times-patched left horn. "Is it a crime to want to hold them close to me for as long as I can?"

"Mostly. I think it has more to do with girls than it does with any real interest in learning at the pace of others. though he didn't mention how long he was planning to play with the other children. though I imagine after a few days, the 'new thing' polish will wear off and he'll prefer home schooling again where he can learn at the pace he wishes to, rather than the pace a person sets for him."
taking ehr hand and kissing it lightly.
"Oh come now, I'm not that bad. I'm only mean and malicious to those that deserve it."

"Hard to please is only the tip of it." Shaking his head lightly and propping an elbow on the back of the chair. "Don't get that cozy with it now, I have to rest my head on something at night." But a scoff. "That point is not that I use it, but that I know it along with a few other languages." But quieting as things were presented to him. "Sounds basic enough, well I guess I'll just go with the flow. Can't be too hard aside from the social aspect. But how come you keep going? All I ever hear is you complain abotu going."
"Kinda starting like you're having kids just to have something dependent on you," Crossing his arms lightly over his chest at the little stated obsevation, "That's what pets are for, not children. And yes it is a crime if it starts developing into something that's bad for the both of you. Have to learn how long 'long' actually is. And despite what you think, they do still need you...even the hardheaded racer son of ours. After all, he wouldn't be racing if it wasn't for your sway over me, now would he?"
Rare days when he was all over affectionate as thus. And usually that all didn't come with vast amounts of impending doom that seemed to be on the horizon that they were all trying not to stare at. "Girls...but of course." Shaking her head lightly, "Fine he can go...but only because someone is going to be there watching him. Usually I'd be more willing, but with how things are starting to go on, forgive me not wanting my children far from my sight. And yes you can be. You get short worded and clip toned with me. Believe me A'mael, marriage and fatherhood hasn't changed you that much when it comes to plans of well being for your house."

Holding the pillow up and shaking his head sadly, "Do you see how he talks about you? He doesn't love you like I do. He uses you. Come with me and I'll make sure you are more than just a place to rest my head at night." Snickering because he really was being a silly boy today. He grimaced and shook his head, "Parents make me. I have to complete all of their ridiculous programs and then I'll be free to do whatever. Apparently similiar institutions have been founded in various other places and the plans seem to work in everyone's best interests. All in all, it's not horrible and I do learn, but whereas you get to change subjects whenever, I don't. Everyone has to be in the same 'place' within the subject base."
Her eyes narrowed and she shook her head. "What are you talking about? I wanted and love each one of my children for themselves, not so they can be dependent on me. I have you for that, now don't I?" He made it sound like she was using them and she'd never do anything as coldhearted as that. Or would she? "Seems to get shorter and shorter with every one of them. Kelligrin's going the slowest out of any of them but he's already showing signs of being smart." A shake of her head and she turned around and left the nursery, gathering the bags and dropping them in the hallway.

"Trust me, I'm not thrilled with it either. but I'm sending one of the black droags with him. they hide quick adn easy, and are probably more than enough to deal with anything some teenagers can throw at them. and if you want, I'll see if I can arrange for some kind of visual thing to keep tabs on his for you."
A small grin.

"I think I find it disturbing that you're sweet talking my pillow. Please do refrain before I have to come over there and hurt you about it." Boys, all aggressive and what not at that teenage age. But a wrinkle of his nose, "See, that's always the unappealling part...if you're above the rest just because something comes natural to you, you get bogged down. After all, I know for a fact that's why you skip, you always complain that they're behind what you already know." Shrugging lightly. "I would skip too if there was no reason for me to be there and I could prove there wasn't."
That got a breif narrowing of eyes at her back as she left the room. Dependent? On her? She was honestly calling him dependent on her like some child or someone who couldn't do anything for themselves? It stung, no lie about that and for some reason, his mind didn't want to let it slid off like water just yet. He could be mean and say she hadn't wanted Zykariel at first, but he knew that was taking it a step too far and he honestly didn't want a screaming match right now. "Have it your way then." Following her out and simply kicking the bags into a pile, transloacting them easily enough. "Is that all we need?"
"Don't follow him around too much, he'll just be resentful if you do anymore than he knows aout." She gave a sarcastic laugh and sat up, meeting his eyes with hers. "Like it? Oh yes I do so enjoy it when you narrow your eyes at me, and tilt your head down exactly sixty degrees to look down at me holding back a slight sneer of agitation and answer whatever I have to ask you in short one word answers." Shaking her head at him and then duly raising a hand and flicking his nose in commonplace fashion of 'think again'. "You're just stroking your own ego now."

"Gotta practice your social wiles on something, Khai. The mirror is just strange, trust me. Inanimate objects that have no face, no ears, and no reactions are the best way to do it. Of course I chose to go straight in and try my luck and the first couple of times I got slammed hard. Flirting takes precision and teenage girls can be vicious." He shrugged his shoulders lightly, "I don't want my parents teaching me and me alone and if I get taught by them then my sisters will too. They can't handle that. Besides, when they are actually doing something that I can benefit from, I show up and finish up the work. I just don't see the point in sitting in a class that I can already pass the test on."
A glimmer of guilt followed her as she stalked out of the room and she realized that dependent comment had been a little below the belt. She knew how important it was to Sevilin to be able to stand on his own, even if he couldn't cook. He was his own man and that's the way he wanted it to be. Then again he'd implied she was using her children for her own evil purposes...and that had been a little low for her liking as well. He deserved it, dammit! She glanced down at the bags and waved her hands. "Yes. Everything else that might possibly come up is already at Twilight. I'll need to come back here daily to check on my horses." Tone a little clipped? Why yes, it was.
