I can speak guido and Ebonics fluently, but the way youse y'all talk down South is like a foreign language. We're going more for the really, really, really redneck Southern dialect. I've lived in the south all my life and I've rarely heard people talk the way a "stereotypical redneck" talks. I've lived my entire life in New England and traveled to most of it at some point or another, and I've only rarely heard people speak in accents other than the Boston, Rhode Island, and coastal Maine accents (and their variants like Woosta, Newport, and the like). The extreme accents/dialects tend to happen out further away from the major centers, with a few exceptions... at least, that's my understanding. Yeah, and how every town, village, and shire are damn well proud of the fact that the bloody gits more than a day's drive away have no ******** hope of understanding you unless you want em to... ...and then there's the ******** pikeys. The UK's version of Boomhauer.

Phoenix Goliathane My standards for TV are really low. But...you know, I only watch MTV anymore if it's the early morning - which is the only time they actually show videos anymore. Otherwise, it's either "The Hills," "ANTM," or "A Shot At Love." (The last...you'd think that a show starring a bisexual Asian Myspace whore model would be a lot hotter than it actually is, from what I've seen. It's just embarrassing for EVERYONE involved, including the viewer.) GCD is wanking furiously about it, too. Which, I can understand - I felt a bit insulted by the lowest common denominator pandering that this entire campaign is, on the heels of another ad campaign. But on the other hand, I love how everyone is all like "HILLS FANS CAN GTFO MY GAIA! scream " There's even a petition already. I don't get cable so no MTV for me. I guess I'm not missing much. My first reaction to this Hollywood Hills thing was "Gah, real people!" ...I don't know why I didn't have this reaction to Golden Compass or stuff like that... maybe a mini-one for Pirates. It felt like it was breaking fantasy but once I thought about it, it's probably the most fantastical we've had advertised at us. I'm to the point where I don't even want to watch trailers for items.

Phoenix Goliathane So hay guies. Only took like four years, but finally 10,000 posts. This is #10,000. I'm not sure whether I should be proud or ashamed. (I think I'll choose proud, since 80% of those came in my first 6 months on Gaia.) Also: Hila and Ashram speaking redneck to each other confuses me. crying

Streamjumper AzurePaleSky I watched all of FMA in Japanese, both this time and my first time... and online, I could find the movie in English. So now I'm all, "I don't give a damn what happens to Ed!!!" I think it's cause I don't like his dubbed voice... sweatdrop Funny, how that can really make me go against him. And many other characters... there's just something lost in the translation. Yet many of the other animes I've watched in English and loved... I guess it's just cause I started this one in Japanese. I can almost guarantee you that it is because you saw the Japanese first. Also, IMO, the series gets a lot weaker towards the end anyways as they abandon a lot of what it was at the start and shift the feel of things quite a bit. But the dub was well done, even if I eventually came to not really like the series as much as I did at the start. I thought the people writing it did a pretty good job coming up with endings and reveals and a world system based off of how much of the manga was out at the time. It actually made sense why they started with Rose and the rest of that rather lame 'first episode shows off how cool we are with our actions!' There are some ideas I really like that won't be in the manga. There were some real low points towards the end (Archer) but I liked it enough to rewatch it. The only part of the movie I liked was the opening where we re-lived all the good scenes in the anime via their DVD cover counterparts.

Because that's how the end of the semester works. Unfortunately my teachers don't tell us about end of the semester projects until, like, the week before. There was a dude God made named Adam. He romped around naked in the Garden of Eden with his animal friends but realized he was lonely. So God snatched a rib from Adam and created Eve. God told them not to eat from the forbidden tree OR ELSE. Eve, being the woman she was, didn't listen and took a bite. Maybe it was PMS. God got angry and kicked them out and they went on to populate the world.
The end.I used to think 'spare ribs' were the ones us womenfolk stole from Adam.

If it all started rolling with Adam and Even, then their children, and their children's children... Then from the start everyone has been the product of incest, and probably retarded.... to the point where all humanity are momos. I dare say that this could be the argument that makes Creationism plausible to me.
