Madison listened patiently, her own little ball of snow becoming much large as she continued rolling it around, nodding her head every now and again. t sounded like fun. 'Happier days' as he had said.
"why can't you stll do that?"
she asked a little perplexed at his tone, it sounded as if he thought his family from that time was long and dead. but they were all still here and it wasn't like anyone was seriously injured.

She thought about that moment pondering his siter's reaction. How had she first reacted to snow? Actually...this was her first time in the snow. She blinked at this thought and instantly whipped her head upwards, looking up as small snowflakes swirled down like a secret dance to each other, welcoming themselves to the ground and earth. Rejoicing that they to soon would be among family nestled on the ground and in the trees.
A small smile reached the corners of her mouth and she craned back to look at the blur sky more, finally falling back because she'd thrown her own gravity off balance. though she didn't seem to mind, just letting herself lay there while the snow soaked into her clothing.

"Huh?"
She said blandly, more to herself.
"I guess I can see why."
she mummbled, still watching it come down while a few landed on her eyelashes and metled from body heat leaving small droplets of water where they were. Her vison became a blur with small sparkles around the edges, like looking through a crystal giving the day a more magical feel to it indeed.

Fang sighed and layed back in the snow too, staring up at the sky. "We've... Changed a lot. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally, too. Artemis doesn't like the snow, Mother is almost never around.. And when she is, she usually has something to do.. And I... Well.." He stopped and sighed. He.. Didn't like their yard... Or any of the woods around it. So he usually tried to avoid prolongued exposure to it. But.. He really didn't want to tell her that he was afraid of his own property..

"I don't know. I guess.. My point is, we're not children anymore.. And we don't get along as well as we used to.. A lot of... Things have happened to us since then.." He decided that it would be best to stop there. Talking about those things probably wouldn't be the best thing to do. They were supposed to be enjoying themselves. Not talking about his misersable family.

Madison raised her eyes so they looked like they were about to roll back inot her head like some kind of demon. Though she couldn't see him lying in the snow she felt him there, the tone in his voice obviously meant that he wasn't going to or didn't want to go further into whatever was on his mind. She gulped, an ominous pressing down on her heavily for the moment, tumbling over her like the way his words were tumbling out of his mouth.
"D..do you think you would ever change enough so that you wouldn't want to hang out with me anymore?

She asked sadly, unable to hide the clingyness from her voice. she didn't want to sound clingy or sad, espeially after having so much fun before but if someone could so easily outgrow coming out on a sparkling white day like today then why not outgrow a human as well? Humans changed even more than the weather in a single day alone. mood swings and such.
A blush grew along her cheeks, thinking of what she had actually just asked him.
Behind the mobidness of the question was something alot closer to a question that she had once asked before but not gotten a very good answer for.
Did he really like her? Like...like her that way to want to try and stay, if just for a little longer?

Feeling silly and nervous she pulled herself up, propping the top half of herself up on her hands to look at the two balls of snow rolled up so far.
"I'm going to go find some stones."
she said in a matter-of-fatc tone, getting up. she would of course come back but she might just take a little long to find a 'good' stone.

Fang frowned when she asked that question. Of course he wouldn't! That... Didn't have anything to do with it... It wasn't her.. It was his family. They'd all seen horrible things.. And they didn't stay close because they knew all too well what eachother's weaknesses were... Afraid that they might accidently bring something up that they shouldn't have.

She was one of the few he felt safe talking to.. And felt happy being around. When she stood up, he looked over to see what she was doing. Her face looked sad again.. He didn't want that. Not at all. Quickly, he stood up and walked over to her quickly. "No, please don't..." He started and grabbed her hand gently. "Don't leave me.." He said and frowned. "I.. I can't explain my situation to you to make you understand well enough.. Bad things have happened to my family.. And I can't say what they are.. But, I can guarentee you that nothing could make me change enough to want to stop being around you. You're a wonderful person.. And probably one of the best things that's happened to me in a very long time.." He said and paused. "And I don't want to see you sad.."

madison was in the least to say...shocked when Fang had gotten up and starting urging her to stay. she had said she was going t come back right? Or had she just thought that to herself? Funny how her own brain couldn't keep up with what she actually said.
she sighed, a little unsure what to say.
"I wouldn't leave."
a scowl coming to her face that he had really thought she would, if al had told her anything during some of his raginging fits he sometimes had it was that Kohaku was instead the one alwys thinking that something good would eventually leave. Or was it the entire family?

She turned the scowl into a smile, for both hers and fang's sake. Trying to let the trouble slip away to wherever troubles go while you forget about them.
"fine then, I won't be sad as long as you're not. Besides who wants to see a wonderfull person like yourself sad anyway?"
A small part of the first meeting flashed inside her head, he had been sad then to.
She looked just past him, at the less than half built snowman.
"though he might find it a little hard to smile right now."

Fang smiled again as she said that she wouldn't be sad as long as he wasn't.. But blinked as she looked back and sought out what she was looking at. "It probably is a little hard to smile without a head." He said with a little laugh.

As he began to walk back over, Fang thought he had heard a noise coming from the left. He stopped and looked, but saw nothing. "...Wha-" And before he could finish his sentence, two dozen cats almost appeared out of nowhere and charged at him, jumping on him and knocking him to the ground. All of them meowing and purring like he was some form of catnip to them. He let out a sigh, his eye twitching a few times. ".. Damn." He finally said after a moment of just meows.

Madison smiled back at him, trying to shrug off the previous feeling and just get back to how she was before. well..it was sorta hard to feel unhappy on a day like today. crips snow and a cloudless sky, could you ask for better weather? She arched an eyebrow at his sudden stop in pace, looking to the side she dismissed it as something no more interesting than an ant and continued walking.

That was before the horde of cats came meowing in their dozens, where on earth had they come from!? She nearly jumped out of her skin when they just appeared. Though it was actually only a few centemetres back. However now she saw it was just a bunch of ear harmless cats she cracked a smile.
"Oh wow, Fang. I think you got something on your shoulder there..see if you can get it off or something."
she giggled again at the sight. Full grown man Vs two dozen cats...cats win.

Fang grumbled a little as the cats rubbing up against him and trying to make friendly. He just couldn't figure out what drew them to him. As he sat up, a few cats fell off and sat down next to him, meowing like they wanted attention. "I just don't understand why they do this.. It seems like it's everytime I go outside." He said and tried to shoo them away.. With no luck. Finally he just started picking them off of himself and sitting them down on the snowy ground as quickly as he could so they wouldn't jump back on him. Eventually he was able to stand up, but the cats were still looking up at him. "What?" He asked them, almost expecting a response.

Madison was still giggling at the cats and Fang sprawled on the ground, it was indeed rather the sight for sore eyes. She rolled her eyes at him, offering a hand to help him up. The cats were still looking up at him as if he was some kind of giant voodoo doll made of catnip. Odd indeed.
"Aww Fang, why so quick to be rid of such irresistability? Most men would love to have that much attention"
She giggled again, his pleas for an explination from the cats falling on deaf ears.
"They're just a bunch of cuteies though."
she said and the tone woman must save just for when talking about cute animals or babies, immediantly scooping up one of the closest cats in her arms.

"Men like Artemis.." Fang mumbled and smirked slightly. He himself had never been much of an attention whore. Hell, most people that met Artemis didn't know he had a brother until he told them. A regular recluse. Oh well. He watched as Madison picked up the cats and gave them the cute voice. Jealous? Naaaah. Okay, so maybe he was just a little.

All the cats turned their attention to Madison as they saw some of their fellow cats recieving attention from her. A few started to crawl over to her and meow at her feet, while the ones in her arms purred happily and meowed. Though, some were still trying to persue Fang. One little cat inparticular decided to crawl into one of his big pockets on the sides of his pants.

Madison tried to hide the blush crawling over her cheeks when she heard him mutter something about Artemis, she had never really forgotten or forgiven herself for paying attention to that particular brother first.
she raised her eyes from the cat she was currently eyeing, and considering taking home for herself, only to see a few of them actually starting to head towards her!
"Damn.."
She muttered, putting down the one if her arms for now and mimicing their meows, badly but still doing it all the same.
"i must look crazy.."
she said, running a hand over a few of the ones in arms reach.

Fang didn't seem to notice the blushing she made when he mentioned his brother's name, but he did notice the cats flocking towards her. It was quite the humorous scene, but it made him smile. "Nah, they're probably just glad to have the attention." Fang said and looked down at the cats still staring at him. He then looked back at her. "Should we go ahead and finish the snowman? He's probably getting impatient." Fang said and snickered a little.

"Huh?"
Madison said, momentarily forgetting about the half built snowman a few steps in front of them. Her head jerked up to look at Fang.
"Oh, yeah. hopefully he won't mind...not that he has one right now."
she found that she had to brush off a cat that had somehow found itself sitting rather comfortably against her leg, it was almost a shame to move the content looking creature.

Fang sighed and continue walking, noticing a little extra weight from some of the cats that had crawled in his pockets. He figured it wasn't any big deal right now, so they could stay if they wanted. Looking down at the two balls, he thought that it wouldn't be too bad of an idea to just go ahead and put the middle one on. It would be some progress at least. Carefully, he rolled the middle ball over to the larger bottom one and cautiously put it on top, being carful to make sure nothing started to fall apart. "There. That looks better." He said and smirked slightly. "Which one of us should make the head?" He asked and looked at Madison.

Dusting a few stray snowflakes from her clothing Madison found that for the most part, that when the middle part of the snowman was joined to the bottom it did look like some kind of progress had been made.
she tilted her head to the side, looking at the round halfmade snow man, putting her hands up in front and backing away from Fang.

"Oh no, I'm not gonna be responsible for wrecking the snowman with a lopsided mutation barely passable as a head."
she giggled, striking a overly girly girl pose worthy of a barbie doll.
"Besides, I'm just a girl. Much to pretty to do anything other than decorate a face, against the law you know?"
