Well, you have a ball count that a mod gave you. 5 posts gets you a pok'eball, 12 a greatball, 25 an ultra ball, and 50 a masterball. If you train long enough in one area, a mod will 'release' a pok'emon for you. You catch it by weakening it with attacks, then using a pok'eball. If the ball is strong enough, and the pok'emon weak enough, you will catch the pok'emon. All of this is explained in the first post of 'start here' If you still find yourself confused, you can ask me though.
