Great deal with this one, it's been a while since we had one of these.
Mega force = €170,00
Boys boxed set = €20,00 (4x = €80,00 ) Trukk = €25,00 Bikers boxed set = €32,50 (3x = €97,50 ) Lootas boxed set = €19,50
Contents on their own cost €222,00
Savings: €52,00

€52,00 = £48,00 or something like that. That's almost a battle force for free! surprised
If I were to play Orks I'd get this regardless of whether or not I would actually need it. redface

I wouldn't... It lacks nobz... And grots... Mostly nobz tho', they could've ditched 10 boyz and added nobz instead. ;D
But it's a nice deal none the less, really worth it.
Good thing is that there's enough bitz to make 5 burnas, 5 lootas, 25 boyz, 12 trukkboyz (yes 12, one box of boyz is actually 11 models, they add another pair of legs for the nob and torso, so it makes 11 models instead of 10), trukk, 9 bikers (put all nob torsos on them instead and voila, cheap nob bikers), which is pretty nice.

I'm stupidly tempted to get it from Maelstrom, they're selling it for €98,00 there.
I wonder why GW doesn't bother putting that on the Boyz boxed set. They say 10 models, are included and we get 11 models, a full squad with all options. Sweet.
In other news, I've found a Trukk kit while searching for my camera, I'm thinking about making it a generic Imperial cargo hauler, any suggestions peeps?

Hey, I have an Ork force - with lots and lotsa Boyz - from several years ago, when the latest Ork Codex was that one with the green border from like 3rd Edition or something.
And I've been thinking of getting my force back on the field... That's not right... I never got to play a single game with them cuz I was really sick in the head at the time - damn you, brain!
Anyways, question is, do Orks still have an entry in the Codex for Looted Vehicles which you take like a Leman Russ or Land Raider or something and modify it to be more Orky?
Cuz I wanna blast the crap outta a certain someone's power-armored 'umies with a Battle Cannon while my positive HORDE of Boyz close in for the kills with Choppaz and Sluggas - that's how I built like... all 80-100 of em.
Yeah, they're from when Boyz came in boxes of twenty or so. I actually kinda missed out when they reduced the size of standard infantry boxed sets. You can imagine my surprise when I checked the Ork section of the online store and went something like, "PLASTIC BIG SHOOTAS!? WOOOOO!!!!" Because I remember the pain of gluing that big, heavy body onto the poor legs and trying to get it to stick... Amazing what you do and don't remember.
Oh, and I don't have the new Ork Codex yet. It's part of my Christmas Wish List, high on the priority list - my parents know next to nothing about WH40k, and my list has a lot of options (because I like giving people choices. I have no expectations of getting even a tenth of everything on it) so my mom asked me to put priority markings on it, stuff which would essentially be INCREDIBLY useful, VERY useful, NICELY useful, and just plain nice to have - so I don't have access to the latest Codex but would like to put the parts needed for a Looted Vehicle on the list as well, presuming there are still options for it. : 3
Yes, I still live at home. Ain't like I can work, and I like it at home partly because it makes for more disposable income from allowances and soon to be disability checks and mainly because it's a very comfortable, relaxing, and non-stressful environment.
So yeah. Does the Looted Vehicle still exist in the Ork Codex? And if so, what vehicles from other Codexes can be Looted? Not looking for stats or points cost or anything like that; I'll have those by the time I build the damned thing. Just want to know the answers to the questions in this paragraph. And I like to type, which explains the rest of this post.
P.S. WAAAGH!

Pouncey Hey, I have an Ork force - with lots and lotsa Boyz - from several years ago, when the latest Ork Codex was that one with the green border from like 3rd Edition or something. And I've been thinking of getting my force back on the field... That's not right... I never got to play a single game with them cuz I was really sick in the head at the time - damn you, brain! Welcome back - Those boyz will do you good under the current codex, as Orks are now cheap and can form huge mobs. Pouncey Anyways, question is, do Orks still have an entry in the Codex for Looted Vehicles which you take like a Leman Russ or Land Raider or something and modify it to be more Orky? Cuz I wanna blast the crap outta a certain someone's power-armored 'umies with a Battle Cannon while my positive HORDE of Boyz close in for the kills with Choppaz and Sluggas - that's how I built like... all 80-100 of em. Orks have lost the ability to loot specific vehicles. Now there are entries for 'Looted Vehicle' and 'Battlewagon' - each with enough options that you can basically represent whatever looted vehicle you please. As for the blasting the crap out of beakies, that's that the Boomgun and Killkannon weapons are for, options for the Looted Wagon and Battlewagon respectively. 100 boyz will be short of fully filling 4 Troops slots, but I'm sure you'll manage. razz Pouncey So yeah. Again, like I said, Looted Vehicles are generic now. If you want to have a looted vehicle, just use the model, and figure out what weapons and upgrades are appropriate, Heavier armored looted vehicles should use the Battlewagon entry, and more lightly armored ones should use the Looted Wagon one.

On the one hand, a trio of ace models. On the other hand, damn shame that it's done by Forge World, meaning that the first casts will be great, the rest s**t. talk2hand

Here's hoping that alongside the Dread we'll also be getting Kans, or Trakks, or Buggies at the very least. Orks need them effing updates to their product line.
