I didn't read the fight, but those sound like some pretty good arguments, Jello. I do need a beautiful, possibly evil, woman to tempt Eric...steal his heart...and then summarily crush it like a grape. No better way to get the fury flowing. What's he like?

He wants to get his History degree, meet a pretty girl, get married, and settle down... But! He's being scoped out by scientists for an experiment, and they've played him into coming to Durem on "scholarship" to a school that probably doesn't even exist...Now, they just need to push him a bit farther. Crushing him to the point of desperation, and anger...So that he walks right in, agrees to the tests, and becomes the beast he is in the current timeline.

If it made sense at all I would have also assumed groupies were hanging off of him the whole time, because that's the impression I get from reading the character. That said... Athena rushed in with a low swing with a heavy weapon. The response was that the weapon bounces off and you do a dragon punch followed by an inverted Zhangief. Athena's response to that was "when it bounces off, I get the ******** out of there". Every post since then from you has been "no you don't, dragonpunch/aerialpiledriver". Which part of it are you referring to when you say it is "a move that had a low number of counter options"? No there wasnt. Well thats partially whats wrong. She was run ing in with a hammer held back so he made a barrier for himself, anyone who could would. He could. That "im getting out of here" is the issue....in a tank charge like that an immediate back peddle would be impossible due to the momentum and motions going on as well as the fact chain began its wrap as she swung, and being held by her it didn't have to go very far and it moved fast. Run at something swing a hammer and see how fast you can start running backwards....the chain moved behind her as she swung, due to timing there would be no chance to escape it. That said the punch would be strong because he's already suped up and then used his velocity to augment the strength and speed. She'd also be pulled with by the chain further up. And Bojuka reads that way cause that's how I want him to. Hes a mix of space dandy and shaft and there was a bojuka lady in the beginning. But keep watching things aren't as they seem with him

Assuming absolutely everything in the post went as planned, yes. Assuming that she's wrapped up in the chain there are a lot of possibilities available and there is a significant advantage gained. But that hasn't happened yet. The chain moved to wrap but there was no confirm yet. You're really chasing after it though.

Darkest Silver I know right. I'm good like that. ^.^ Lame. Get more interesting topics. Swear today's terrible. Nothing interesting on Gaya. Roommate's wife is missing apparently. And I had an embarrassing moment with my nerve damage coupled with jogging a lot in the sun today. Collapsed and started babbling until I got water. Bright side, was at a Subway so I grabbed a sandwich a minute later. lol Never mind to the above, car broke down and found her. That's a positive.

Slainne's a smuggler, using that occupation to keep herself independently afloat while she evades her court mage father, who wants to marry her off into another family with a very magically-pure bloodline. That makes her feel like cattle, and she runs away to get the adventure and freedom she craves, and avoid marriage, since that ties her down. She sees what magic has done to her family, making them more ruthless and bound, so she avoids/abhors it like the plague. Her stuff's far from hunky-dory. Bring up marriage eventually, if the two of them click, and she'll split his heart in two.

In all seriousness, Outlaw, you are being more obstinate about the conditions of your fight than Vintrict is; Hell, you're practically trying to OOC strong-arm him into taking the hit when...honestly...I don't think he'd have to.
I've faced down Samayou's possessed chains, and so I can speak with some authority on the way in which you RP semi-intelligent linked weapons...Vin's handling it very well.
Make the most out of what you're given, and let the judge staff resolve the issue when it goes to judging.

While I (still) haven't read it, just know that showboating and appeal honestly doesn't work. My fight with Bellanox in HoH a few years ago looked more like a women's sorority wresting match in a kiddie pool of barbecue sauce. No brownie points whatsoever. It was entertaining as ********, but judges were like "less lesbo fantasy, more fighting."

He asks her to Marry him...eventually...she freaks out, and crushes him the first time. Thinking that she's rejected him because he isn't "good enough" he accepts the offer from Yuen Enterprises to try their new super drug...He manifests weak powers, and runs out to show your character... That just makes it worse, and she utterly destroys him... Fully awakening his Fury, and setting him on the road to the Tiger.

As a HoHore: no, do the fancy gimmicks and the fun bits and the showboating.
But don't 'just' do that. Attach it to something of substance. And don't focus so much on winning, as putting on a strong display that's fair to your opponent that on average would net you a win.
The more you do things like:
"That didn't happen."
"I shrug off his attack!"
"REFLECTED!"
and so on, the more a 3rd party will look at your fight and go "..what the ******** likewise, if you:
"Let's have lesbian sex."
"Hey Mana. Run around this field. I'm gonna flex my abs at you."
"Hey. Let's have not so subtle sex in a jungle gym."
..3rd party's gonna go "What the ********?" because you are there to fight, not grind v****a.
