Ascreama puffed out her cheeks as she slowly made her way through the sludge and snow. "Gross, gross, gross..." She muttered quietly to herself as tried to hurry as quick as her wobbly legs could carry her. She had very reluctantly got up and dressed, and nearly cried as she stepped out into the new day.
It was a pleasant snowing mourning, which of course meant a tragic snow day for the blob ghoul. The cold weather went straight to her bones (if she had any), and slime coagulated into a sad frozen sheets on her goo. Her teeth (if she had any) chattered and she shivered all over, despite being snuggled up to the gills in her thickest winter wear. She could feel the cold seeping through her boots to her ooze.
"Blegh.." She shuddered and tried to walk closer to the lava demon who was boiling snow away in a small circle around them. She snuggled deeper into her coat and scarf and pulled her wide brimmed hat further down. The flask of coughee in her hand was too cold to drink now, but there was still a bit of warmth to be stolen through thick gloves.
A fellow goo-manster, who was as equally well wrapped as Ascreama, gave a sympathetic smile as they trudged up to the front stairs. "This should be illegool." He laughed sadly and she nodded, furrowing her blobby brows in agreement.
Amongst the snow covered crowd she spotted a familiar figure..
"MEME!" The blob ghoul half-shrieked in angst and excitement as she bundled over to her bloodie.
"Where have you been?" She whined "You haven't replied to any calls or hexts or screamails or snail-mail or anything!"
The young clown pulled her blobby friend in for a snuggle and grinned, bearing pointy white teeth. "Oh sweetie, it's been a couple of days at most; you're such dram-uh queen."
Meme rolled her eyes as Ascreama hooked their arms together and they carried onward to the school door.

"Feelings for... Marceline?" Dashner rose an eyebrow as his sister showed him the latest Ghostly Gossip article on her iCoffin. "Why would I have feelings for a taken ghoul? I mean, that'd be pretty low. And coming from ME, that's really low.."
"It also says something about Sally having some broken heart... Over just being friends?" Falconnie raised both eyebrows, shutting off her iCoffin.
"What? I've already talked to her, she seems perfectly fine to me."
"Dunno. But if you date Peggy, guess how hawkward that woukd be for me! She's my doommate!"
"You'd live," he rolled his eyes as they entered the school.

Ronan caught up with Meme and Ascreama. He seemed to be in a strikingly good mood this morning.
"Morning." He dropped into step with the pair. "Did you have a good fangsgiving Ascreama?" He really hadn't been great at keeping in touch, what with his parents being about, then the impromptude road.. uh... broad trip... he hadn't had much time for anything else.

Jewels blushed terribly as Kai offered a hand to help her up. Hesitantly taking his extended claws and struggling to her feet, where she set about straightening her clothes and glasses so she didn't have to make eyecontact with Kai.
Flustered and embarrassed, she gushed unintelligable thanks to Kai and applologies to Harry for knocking him down, babbling away at such a rate it was near impossible to understand anything aside from the occassional "sorry... thanks.. so sorry... clumsy... sorry"
"You're ok right?" Kai asked kindly.
Jewels nodded, brushing snow from her hair.

Ascreama tried her hardest to be her usual sweet self, despite the snow, but found herself struggling to concentrate.
She offered a weak smile to Ronan and snuggled up closer to her friend.
"It was okay." She began, trying to think what she actually did during the time between eating and napping. "Was nice to get caught up on work that I hadn't.. uh, finished.." She trailed off and practically buried her face in her hat.
"How was yours?" Her voice muffled through the thick fabric.
Meme tried to gently pry the blob from her arm so she could hold Ronan's hand, but there was no shaking her loose.

And while Kai had aided Jewels to her feet, Layla assisted Harry to his, providing a hint of evidence that a lamia were stronger than the average ghoul. She then helped dust off his jacket, brushing the snow from him when she realized what she was doing, and how her mother might frown upon her so casually coming into physical contact with a strange boo. Clearing her throat, Layla simply slid back enough to give Harry his space and offered her hand, "Asss Kai wasss sssaying, I'm Layla. You might sssay I am to be your guide for your first day here at ssschool. Show you where everything isss. Introduce you to the other ssstudents."She smiled as she offered the gift bag to Harry and then looked to kai and Jewels. "Would you all mind if we continued thisss inssside? Winter and I are never on the friendliessst of termsss."

Sally paused from walking with Tori and tilted her head, looking back. Did she hear Jewels? Maybe she saw them walking, but got caught up outside.
"Something wrong Sally?" she heard Tori ask.
Sally shook her head, "I heard Jewels, but I don't see her."
She started to walk back to the door to look for her when Dashner and Falconnie came walking in. She just nodded to them both, "Good morning." she greeted, walking past.

"Unexpected." He smiled softly at the memory, that broad trip had been pretty clawsome. But Nero's voice hissed in his head not a word....
He shook his head. "It was enjoyable." He looked to Meme. "I missed you though."
It was true, he really had, and he didn't realise how tacky that sounded saying it out loud.
He did notice that Ascreama seemed remarkably clingy, which lead him to leave the two ghouls a rather wide berth. He didn't much care for Ascreama limpetting onto him as well.
"Are... you alright Ascreama?"

"Um! Like Hello?!?" Vanissha face palmed at the sillyness of Ronan. Had he never watched a romantic movie in his unlife? She had been following Meme since they left their dorm, as they share one, so duh!
"She like, totally want a hug and stuff! From the cold?! Duh." Vanissha bounced on her toes, partly to keep warm herself, and partly because she was excited to see them hug. In her mind she pictured a loving movie scene and the too reconciling over a romantic fire place. If hearts with bat-wings could have appeared, they would have.

Tori didn't say anything to Dashner or Falconnie, not to be rude, or because she was upset with Dashner, but because she'd just witnessed Jewels take a slippery fall into a crowd.
"Oh Roses! I think she fell." Tori could see over the other student's heads, being a bit taller then most, but she soon lost sight of her fallen friend.
She hurried to the door, grabbing Sally's hand as she did, to see her friend was alright and up on her feet thankfully, unhurt as well. Although there was some serious damage to her ego.
"I have to say, I think that was the best entrance all day. Our Jewels sure know how to make an impact? Right?! Hehe...eh." Tori tried to make light of the situation, as she knew how embarrassed Jewels would get. She chuckles at her own joke and hope they other would as well.
She hugged her friend to show her no ill will. That's when she saw the new boo.
"Oh Hi. I'm Tori. These are my friends Sally and Jewels." She smiled brightly at him.

Sally followed with Tori as they hurried out the where Jewels stood with Kai and Harry. She tilted her head, looking at Jewels.
"Are you alright?" she asked Jewels, brushing a bit of snow off her sleeve.
She glanced up as Tori greeted Harry and nodded to him, "Hello again Harry." she said.

Rory yawned, stretched, and crawled into school via the mirror in the boo's bathroom. He'd spent most of Sunday just sleeping in; the hexcitement of the Fangsgiving weekend had tired him out more than he'd thought. It was his first big trip ever, though, so maybe it wasn't that surprising.
As Rory opened the door to the bathroom and stepped out into the hallway, he instantly noticed that things seemed different. All of the students were dressed in big, puffy jackets, ear protection, gloves, big heavy boots...what was going on?!
"D-did something hexplode?" Rory tapped Deuce Gorgon on the shoulder and asked him. Deuce raised an eyebrow behind his sunglasses and shrugged.
"Huh? No, nothing hexploded. Why?"
"Well, the protective clothing-"
"Oh! Cleo! 'Scuse me, bro." Deuce gave Rory a nod and then walked away to join his ghoulfriend. Rory looked for someone else to give answers. The further he walked towards the school's entrance, the more fully protected the students seemed to get. He passed one Skeleton boy who was so wrapped up in scarves, mittens, snowpants and a coat that the only way he knew he was a skeleton was the rattling noise he made as he shuffled in.
"What the heck is-" Suddenly, a frigid blast of air blew thorugh the hallway as the door opened and several students walked in. Big, bold snowflakes drifted in. Rory looked at the icy shards and his eyes grew wide.
"Wh....wh...WHAT ARE THOSE?!!!"

Rorrim Rory Bludworth "What the heck is-" Suddenly, a frigid blast of air blew thorugh the hallway as the door opened and several students walked in. Big, bold snowflakes drifted in. Rory looked at the icy shards and his eyes grew wide."Wh....wh...WHAT ARE THOSE?!!!" Rory momentarily forgot his panicked sense of danger, as he glanced at the direction of the voice spoken and found a short but massively bulkly figure adorned in one of those protective outfits. He did a double take and couldn't see the speaker's face, only green ... lots of green... with fur trimming and gloves and bulky pants and heavy boots. "Glen?""That's my name. Ask me again and I'll tell ya the same! Ha!"Another gust of wind and more flakes of snow blew into the school foyer... "ARGH!" and Rory yelped in fright and in an act of self preservation, ducked behind his cousin to avoid the most dangerous flakes of frozen crystalline water. Glen's magic could protect him... right? Glen tried to look back over his shoulder but was unable. he then tried to turn to look at his cousin but Rory remained hidden behind him, gripping his arms and turning every way that Glen turned.
"What's up? Is this a new round of Hide N Freak? Ooo! Did you do something bad? is Marceline on the gorepath?""No! I - LOOK OUT! Here comes another one!""Another wh...?" Glen's hidden head turned upward and watched as the single flake of snow drifted steadily down until it landed right on Rory's trembling nose. "NOOO! I'm a goner! Tell my mom...""That you saw your first snowfall?"

"I can't believe you've never seen snow before!" Glen hexclaimed, holding back a little bit of laughter as the snowflake on Rory's nose melted into a water drop. He couldn't be too scornful - after all, that waterdrop was more dangerous to him than the flake of snow. "Wait, I guess I can believe it...you really didn't spend a lot of time outside as a young manster, did you?"
"Not at all. Not since I was very little, at any rate. And my friend's realm didn't seem to have, uh, winter." Rory replied, tentatively, looking out the front doors of Monster High at the various students outside enjoying the winter haunterland there. Jewels Underne slipped and fell on top of a new boo, and high-velocity projectiles were flying through the air. It looked, to Rory's eyes, like a battlezone. He supressed a shudder.
"I, uh, I think I'll stay inside." Rory backed away from the entrance.
"You have to be kidding me, Rory! Didn't we make a lot of progress about this down in New Goreleans? You're a lot stronger than you think you are, boo!" Glen admonished his witch-cousin. "Facing down a family of witch-hunters can't be less dangerous than some snowflakes."
"At least the Murk family swamp was soft and mooshy, so if I fell I wouldn't smash into a billion pieces." Rory replied, still backing away from the entrance.

Ronan glanced back, frowning a little at the loud shrill voice that seemed to be shouting at him.
"Hexcuse me?" He couldn't see anyone.
He looked to Meme, still struggling with Ascreama playing limpet, enveloping her in goopy hugs. He shuddered a little. Perhaps he should rescue his ghoulfriend, but he couldn't quite bring himself to get too close least Ascreama get it into her sticky head to grab him and pull him into the group hug as well.
"coooooolllldddd" Ascreama blubbered.
"Perhaps... we should go inside?" He suggested as a couple of snowballs hit him in the back of the head. "It will be warmer there."
