I groan from the strange event, subconsciously curling up into Senythra's comforting arms. I try to concentrate on repelling this invading force, and trying to figure out what exactly it was. "What's... going on..?" I ask, in a rather light and labored voice.

I land near my sword, and flick it free of its scabbard. Then I try to make good use of this destraction to do a low ground flying rush attack on the professor, in attempt to disarm him.

I had watched the entire situation with Jasmine in fear, awe and concern, but before I can even really react to what's going on with her, the Professor is gasping for help and Selphie is running toward us with a sword. Based off the Professor's gasping, I figure I have a good chance to get away. So I try my best to maneuver my arm so I can push his hand and the blade away so I can get away. If I manage to get away, I try my best to leap toward Selphie and stop her from harming the Professor. He may have held a knife to my throat, but he really wasn't going to harm me and he was already suffering from...something...

What is going on?! What are you doing to me?!
The Professor's voice is ringing through your head, even though he's not speaking.
Selphie:
"Stop her!" the Cloak leader yells.
Desta:
You get away easily enough, and the blade falls to the ground, but so too does The Professor! He seems scared out of his mind; white and livid.
Selphie:
All of the Cloaks, and even Balors and his men run at you at once and push at you with their whole weight, stopping you and sending all of you to the ground. When you look up, The Professor is on the ground, still gasping for help, and Desta is free.

You b*****d! No one takes my friends hostage! You will pay for such treachery! I think to him, unsure of whats going on myself. I try to focus my will to overcome his mind. I had an edge, small though it be, that while the Cloaks want to keep people from killing him directly... perhaps I could sunder his mind...

I look between the Professor and Jasmine, obviously conflicted over who to help, but since I am closer to the Professor and Jasmine has her friend with her already, I rush over to the Professor and try to prop him up. "Professor?! Professor?! Can you please tell me what's going on?!" I plead to him and shake him gently but firmly.

His voice is getting smaller, though.

"She's...in my...head..." The Professor mutters. "Get her...out of my...head!"

I don't care! You violated my trust and threw away your honor! I try even harder to assult his mind. Just give in... it will be less painful that way... I think, in a strangely sweet, soothing manner.

I look at the Professor in a very confused manner before I realize that the only other she that seemed out of whack like him was Jasmine. I gently place the Professor down before rushing over to Jasmine and speaking in a very clear manner. "Jasmine cut it out!" I place a paw on her and shake her a bit firmly. "Do you hear me?! Cut it out!" I knew the others would think I was nuts for trying to save the Professor, but he wasn't just trying to use me to get himself out of this mess... He was trying to get all of us out....

You...please! NO! The Professor cries out in your head.
Suddenly, his presence is gone.
Desta:
As you speak to Jasmine, The Professor cries out. The ball of ghostly purple flames jumps out of his chest and flies over to Jasmine. As it passes by, you feel like it's looking at you angrily. But flames can't be angry, right?
Jasmine:
The strange ball of flames returns to you, and reenters your body through your exposed breasts. Suddenly, you feel at full strength! However, so too does The Professor!
Everyone:
After the ball of ghostly flames goes from The Professor back into Jasmine, they both seem to be at full strength! The Professor gets up slowly, his hands in the air.
"Don't kill me," he whimpers.
He appears to mostly be talking to Jasmine.

I stand up and walk towards the professor, holding his canesword at my side, but not in a threatening fashion. "I'll play along for now, it'll be fun watching you try to break free of this. Just know that your broke the terms of my warm hospitality, so you better make a pretty good apology." I say in a sultry voice, with obvious thorns hidden in my inflection.

I jump back slightly as the flames go back to Jasmine, looking at them curiously when they appear...angry? I stand up on all fours as I watch Jasmine walk over to the Professor and fight every urge to not roll my eyes. I then remember all about the Cloaks and look over toward them cautiously and questioningly, wondering what they were planning on doing now...

The Cloaks and Balors' men are still on top of Selphie.
Selphie:
The Cloaks and Balors' men get off of you.
"Can't be too careful," the Cloak leader says.
Everyone:
"All right," the Cloak leader says. "You lot take The Professor and get out of here! We won't tell the boss if you don't tell anyone we were here."
Al just nods. Balors scoffs.
"And what about us?" he asks.
"You're to escort these people to Haseem posthaste," the Cloak leader replies.
"Fair enough," Balors says. "Whenever you lot are ready, let's move out!"

My ears perk up and I look curiously between the Professor and Jasmine at the Professor's mention of "you and your kind" while I sit down cat-like and swish my tail about, waiting for people to get organized once again.
