Malice Whether by design or coincidence, things were proceeding nicely for the WAS fairy behind the full-faced mask. The numerous assignments he had given to his comrades were drawing the attention of many of the IS at the masquerade. Gradually, as the evening seemed to fly by, many of the IS had left the dance to investigate some disturbance of one kind or another. Other IS were missing and would never be found alive. With so many IS absent, the ball was pitifully guarded at that moment, and Malice appeared to have an easy time spotting them in the sea of masks. It was then that a masked gentleman stood on a balcony overlooking the dance hall and cued the musicians to stop playing. All eyes were on the man as he spoke in a clear, bass voice,"Thank you one and all for coming. I hope we haven't gotten into too much mischief yet this early in the evening..." at that, a number of those present chuckled, obviously identifying themselves as veteran masquerade attendees. "...To those of you here for the first time: I wish you a very enjoyable evening that you are not soon to forget. Speaking of not forgetting, let us remember that this marks another triumph over the horrible WAS, and that alone is worth celebrating. The morning comes quickly, so without further adieu: eat, drink, be merry, and don't leave for home unless you need to be carried. Show the WAS that we are not beaten nor will we ever be!" Finishing his speech, the man left to balcony to the roar of applause and cheers. Shortly after, the music started up again and the dancing and merrymaking resumed. Standing to the side of the dance floor with glass in hand, Malice humored the man's speech. Failing to applaud at the end, he seemed preoccupied as he pushed past several dancers to cross the floor and climb the stairs. Leaving the main hall to walk down a lavishly decorated hallway lined with doors leading to various rooms, Malice saw the speaker from earlier entering a room with a number of other well dressed men at the end. There were much fewer people in he hallways leading away from the ballroom, so the fairy was able to quickly followed after the men.
Entering the room at the end, Malice found a small study with many books and a desk. The men that had entered previously were nowhere to be found, however. In their place, the WAS member found a stone staircase leading down into darkness. Malice just happened to reach the stairwell as a bookcase slid behind him, blocking the entrance from view, and keeping the secret passage hidden from anyone who might wander into the room later in the evening.
An orb of green light formed in Malice's hand and he slowly descended the steps. As he descended quiet voices that grew louder as he grew closer could be heard..."How is the operation going?" "Well. It won't be too much longer." "Good. Gentlemen, by the end of tonight, we will have secured our existence and our goals will be within reach. Their lives will be of a small price to pay..."
Meanwhile, upstairs a few older WillBe citizens attending the masquerade seemed to fall asleep at whatever they were doing. Those with them assumed they had drank too much and turned in early. No one would suspect their souls had been leeched from their bodies. Many others were beginning to feel unusually fatigued as well....

Luna Thorn ~
Luna growled as the man felt up her body, turning her head away. She would not watch. When his tone changed, she looked up at him again, glaring and her eyes glowing a little more red now. She listened carefully to what he said, deciphering his speech and deciding what to do. He wanted information. The problem was that Luna really didn't know much, but, he didn't know that. She grinned slightly at this thought, but didn't want to give up that fast.
She felt vulnerable down on the ground like she was, but didn't make a move to get up. She continued to spark the black lightning back and forth, thinking. She then asked, her voice harsh, Suppose I don't want to take your offer... what happens then? She knew what his answer would be, but her eyes flickered mischievously. She was trying to buy herself time in case she decided not to take his offer.
She wouldn't be trusted anymore in the WAS village if she gave up their secrets. But, then again, her mind was incapable of being broken into. No one would know whether she was telling them everything she knew or not. She could say that she didn't know the leader, she could say that she hadn't been told anything about the was, she could say anything really. A small grin played on her face as she looked up at the man. She wouldn't let him take control that easily. Maybe she'd have fun answering some questions - maybe it would give her a chance to confuse the IS even more. She began making up facts about the WAS in her head, manipulating names and scenarios. She was quite an amazing liar, so lying about what she knew would be simple.

Attention still drawn on Aideen, Dark contemplated on what to do. The sounds he had heard had grown louder to the point that it sounded as if it was only a small way's off.. Though wary of threat he didn't bother in finding out where it came from. The uneasy feeling grew and after a minute of looking at the girl he turned away to see a glimmering tail of what looked like hair whiz by in one direction. Dark wasted no time. With a quick breathe Dark inhaled and exhaled, releasing a breath of fire that spun around itself until it became a large burning sphere the size of half of his body. It met contact with the cover (a house) that he suspected his assailant was using, causing it to break away when the ball collided against it; debris and flames shooting out in every direction until his assailant was revealed. Wisps of smoke rising from his mouth. Breathing fire was a cool ability, but not one he liked to use often since it put a uncomfortable feeling in his throat. He would glance behind his shoulder to see Aideen still grinning at him, and the uneasiness that he felt earlier greatened. I'm in trouble.. He thought, slowly strafing to the side to not only keep Aideen from his back but so he could watch both Aideen and the new moonlight beauty without worry of a backstab or sandwich assault. The house crumbled like charcoal as the flames continued to spread across the walls of the house, the embers of Dark's earlier attack gathering at the feet of the house. Whoever's house that was they would not be pleased. He felt sorry, but right now he had to worry about himself. He turned to Aideen then to the assailant. The only thing he recognized was her hair gleaming with the pale light of the moon. "Lexus..Right?"

~Eos Angeline~ To die... Angeline opened her mouth to tell Gerzen all about the wonders of ancient Egypt but just then the music stopped and a man made a speech. Angeline stopped to here what the man had to say. She giggled and clapped at the end with the others. “That was a nice speech.” she said trying to remember what exactly she was about to say to Gerzen.
“Egypt now is very nice, especially at night. The biggest thing there for me is it’s history.” She paused to think of what she learned by visiting the tombs and reading documents form their life. “I enjoy learning about the Kings and Queens of old. Cleopatra was my favorite, everyone adored her for her beauty. To this day know one knows where she is buried because she was stolen from her tomb two times.” she thought again. “Caesar wanted to marry her, after she was buried the first time another Roman named Mark Antony stole her from her tomb in The Valley of The Kings, and buried her in what was believed to be his garden so everything he looked out his bedroom window he saw her, and he was attacked and killed so a different man could come and take her. To this day no one knows where that man placed her.”
She thought more about her old home before she left her mother to live alone after her father’s death. “The only thing about Egypt is that most of it is still pyramids and tombs. And lots of sand.” she giggled. “It is a nice place, it really is.” the thought of inviting hem to come stay with her in the house by the river pushed its was to the front of her brain but she waved it away thinking that he had to much work to do around here. And me too she added. Being IS not everyday could be like this. Could it?
would be an awfully big adventure.

Disc "You know that tune already, vamp baby," Disc replied in an assuring tone. Walking over to Luna, the copy looked down on the original. The shape the two were in was obvious, and bets placed on the outcome of anymore fighting would have been drastically one-sided. There serious expression on Disc's face suggested he intended to do what he must one way or the other.

~Nila Shyama~
"Alright." Nila followed after Shin. "I wonder how long it takes to go through the entire maze?" She looked up at the moon (it's almost full) and smiled. "Shin...what are your thoughts on the moon tonight?" she asked. She chuckled after realizing they had gone to a dead end in the maze, and stopped walking.

Liliana smiled as she closed her book. She had finished it rather quickly, and though she didn't remember much of what had happened in the book, she still had enjoyed it. Her mind was wandering, wondering what the people at the ball were up to. She wondered what Luna was doing, and if she had decided to join the Was or not. She wondered how much time had passed between when the ball had started until now. She was sure of one thing, though. If she needed to, she could contact Malice. He would know it was her before she spoke to him, though, because of the contact they had when he was at her home days earlier. Liliana stood, stretching a little bit from sitting on the couch for a while. She moved to put her book in the bag that held her dress, but stopped when she saw movement outside. She quickly pulled her ski mask over her face so no one would know it was her. Malice.. I fear if I don't move now, I'll be compromised. I gotta burn it down now. She smiled briefly under her mask and turned around to the stove. There was a gas can sitting on the floor in near it. She took the can and went up stairs, and doused Oni's body in the gas. Once Liliana had covered his body, she moved to the other areas of the house and poured more there. She would wait a little longer, for Malice's reply, before she turned on the stove with a candle out front. "This is it," she whispered to herself.

Lexus felt a sudden heat heading towards her, raising her head she jumped back quickly, though loosing balance from the impact of the large ball of fire hitting the house, rolling across the floor, her arms started to sting as she could feel the now open wounds on her arms after she rolled. She was now in sight and she got to her feet slowly, the pain in her chest and arms still there. ahhh dammit, this is ridculous she growled to herself, she was now kind of facing Dark and it was clear she was worn out. Though...Lexus never stopped. She wasn't giving up anytime soon.

Luna Thorn ~
Luna was still running through ideas in her head, putting her lie together when her duplicate walked over to her and looked down. The duplicate looked to be in great shape, and here she was, coughing up blood, bleeding, and crumpled on the ground. She hated this situation more than anything, as she couldn't stand being weak. She was angry with herself for not keeping up her full strength, especially when Malice had warned her that this might not be an easy task. She was beating herself up on the inside, and shivered a little hearing the man's voice.
She looked up at him, noting that he would do anything to achieve his goal and sighed, grumbling slightly to herself, Damn. She knew she was going to have to take his offer if she wanted to live, as she knew how fast she was capable of running now compared to how fast she could usually make a break for it. She might be able to out run her duplicate, but that was a slim possibility.
She looked up at him, her eyes fierce, though the anger shown in them was mostly directed towards herself. This was her fault. Her mistake. Her error. She sighed slightly and nodded her head, then said, her tone still harsh, Let's just get this damn thing over with. She grumbled slightly and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear because it was sticking to her now bloodied face. She probably looked like an absolute mess.
Although she looked like a mess on the outside, her brain was constructing a lie. A lie with everything necessary to keep anyone from guessing that it was a lie, unless of course they knew the truth. She grinned slightly as she thought up her lie, her angry subsiding and her sneaky ways approaching. Like she had told herself earlier, she wasn't going to give in that easy, and she was going to cause as much chaos and confusion as possible.

"Who are you... "Oh..." Cheyenne said, as if she understood. She didn't, really. A cat lady? Seeking attention? Weird... She was sad her dance was cut short, but she liked Harry's idea. "I would love t-" she was about to reply, but a man started to talk on the balcony, and she listened carefully. She had never been to the Masquerade before, and she totally forgot about the WAS. She didn't clap at the end, being as timid as she was, but did smile up at him. She turned her attention back to Harry now that normal music was playing again and the room was moving with dancers. "I would love to continue dancing with you, but lets keep it slow this time, OK?" she giggles. She felt her face. It was red and hot. How embarrassing. "Oh! Let me get my mask, I'll just be a second." She walked back out to the dance floor to look for the mask she let fall from her face. It was hard looking for it with all the dresses sweeping the floor, but she found it unharmed right were she and Harry had been swinging. She picked it up along with Harry's, it was nearby, and walked over to him with them in her hands. "H-here's yours. Would you like some help putting it on?" she asked politly. You seem so interesting...

He waited for the final bits of dust to clear away, the shadow of the night clouds prolonging a clear vision of his opponent. But as seconds flew by the moonlight illuminated WillBe's streets and Lexus came to view, proving him right. "It is you.." Dark muttered, a cold chill dusting by. "Lexus.." The last time he had seen her he had put her with Luna and Liliana. What happened to them? "What happened with Luna and Liliana?" He asked her, slowly approaching in her an aggressive pace. "I shouldn't have trusted you with them. Where are they?!" He yelled, suddenly running to a sprint. Upon his third step, Dark disappeared and instantly appeared a few feet before Lexus. When he stepped on the ground, however, he leaned to his left side and kicked in the same direction. Again he disappeared and reappeared elsewhere, kick-stepping once again after leaning to his favored destination. He was merely trying to confuse her with his speed. Upon the sixth kick-step he had found a way a short way behind Lexus, and with a final kick-step rushed forward to meet his knee square on her back with enough force to sent her flying forward, if it hit.

Lexus chuckled from the back of her throat as he asked such stupid questions, which he should have already known the awswer to. "ask them yourself, or even my boss...thats if you get close enough" she said with a slight growl into her throat. A slight evil grin slipping over her lips as her silver eyes focused to where he was as her left arm was clutched around her waist, "they had their choice in no way forced." she burst into laughter flicking her head back and then inhaling. "you trusted me...well you're more of a fool then i thought" her words said one thing though her plain silver eyes said another. she didn't want to say these things but her mouth was moving before her mind. She felt his movements along the floor, though his speed and steps were all over the place to her and confusing her. feeling his last step behind her she turned and raised her arms, though she was still too late and fell back, her reactions much slower to their last encounter. ugh s**t she cursed to herself, she placed her hands above her head on the floor, rolling back slightly and then flicking herself back to her feet. "well that was clever, and rather annoying..." she smirked with a sarcastic tone in her voice.

Odd... Dark thought as his attack actually connected and sent her away from him. He landed smoothly, slowly - as if gravity was nothing to him for that one moment. I used consecutive steps to confuse her. Last time she was quicker..Oh well. It doesn't matter."If you think that's annoying then know this: I have three more steps." His Split, Ghost and Infinity Step. Though he rarely ever used them, and he didn't want to have to. Seeing as how Lexus wasn't attacking him he slowly side-strafed, his eyes always upon her. "You're saying that they joined the WAS?" He asked, having caught everything she had said while he had kick-stepped around her. "You're saying that Luna and Liliana willing joined the WAS? Why do I doubt that?" He thought heavily on it, debating if it was true. No. No, it couldn't be. Why would they? "You're psychic, aren't you? How am I supposed to know you didn't somehow morph their decision-making to your own liking? Or rather..the WAS' liking?"
