Sayrike::Tortuga: razz ort-->Challenger

Sayrike began to protest as Jacob lifted Louis and began to carry him onboard. "It's...Jacob, isn't it? You know, the reason why I put him on my mirror in the first place was so we didn't have to carry him up. It's like a floating stretcher, you see?" She ran and caught up with Jacob, stopping in front of him with her mirror hovering by her side. "Really, it's a lot easier." If Jacob would relent and place Louis on the mirror, he could, and she'd bring Louis onto the Challenger; but if he stubbornly refused, Sayrike would just privately sigh and continue onto the ship to help release the sails.

[So...this is my last post before I leave. Just GM me around the ship and whatnot. I'll be back in probably a week and a half or two weeks. Have fun!]

[[-sighs- Sorry. Things have been extremely hectic, literally and emotionally, for the past few weeks. My apologies. Let's get things moving, shall we?]]

[ Zordon ; Billy : Angel Grove : Coast -> The Command Center ]

"Aye-aye!" Alpha immediately responded, attempting to type in a number of different things into the computer terminal he was standing nearest to. As he prepared to Viewing Globe, Zordon and Billy continued to pay attention to the others.

"Well, I'm not sure if your suits are anything like ours- considering you obviously got them from a different source," Billy began, answering Danielle's question with a few moments of thought. "But if they're anything similar, you should be able to handle the heat just fine. They adjust to keep the body temperature stable."

"Ta-da!" Alpha suddenly shouted, turning around to face them and energetically pointing behind the group; on the opposite side of the Command Center from Zordon was a massive sphere known as the Viewing Globe, and it was beginning to glow-

Suddenly, the cloudy facade of the globe disappeared, revealing the side of the volcano, a good distance away from Angel Grove. Built into the side of the volcano was a small, ornate palace, with ominous symbols carved into its walls.

"Ai-yai-yai-yai-yai!" Alpha suddenly shouted, grabbing his saucer-shaped head in shock. Billy and Zordon, however, didn't seem shocked- they barely seemed fazed at all.

"Just like we guessed, Zordon, its Rita and Zedd's old base," he stated before sighing somewhat. "I wonder if that's where Ooze is keeping all the adults..."

[ Lugae ; Matthew : Angel Grove : Lugae's Lab ]

"Ah, yes, Lord Kefka warned me about your arrival," a sickly-looking old man in a lab coat said from behind the Replicas, currently tinkering away at something. He seemed rather annoyed, but didn't comment on it further. To the side, waiting near a few teleporters, was one of the three Black Waltzes. The Earthling, Matthew, was nowhere to be seen, not that they'd know about him to begin with. "But I don't think you'd like being cooped up in a lab, not at all, hmm. How do you feel about burning a city down?"

[[Matthew and Lugae will be GMed until further notice. I just hope I don't murder Lugae's character.]]

[Tortuga ~ The Challenger]

"Why don't we take him below deck?" Noelle offered, motioning to Jacob towards the decending stairway. "I can get him fixed up."

By this time Jack's impatience and irritation were apparent. His needs were not being attended to. The sooner they got to Tia Dalma's, the sooner he could take back his ship.

"You." He shouted, pointing to Kyle, James, and Joe. "Take care of the anchor. The rest of you, unfurl those sails."

After issuing his harsh commands, the pirate slinked his way over to Dawn and gave her a sly smile. "And eh, how about putting some wind in my sails, darling?"

[Angel Grove ~ Lugae's Lab]

Elleon stood with her arms crossed, eyeing Azrael as he followed from a portal behind her. She had a few questions to ask him about his . . . plaything. She opened her mouth to retort but was interrupted by Dr. Lugae. She rolled her eyes and looked over, scrunching her nose.

"Sounds boring, but I suppose I have little choice." She sighed, glancing between Lugae and her nails, "There's not much else to do. You're all quite dull around here."

[Dawn : Port of Tortuga : The Challenger]

Dawn stared at Jack with a blank expression. At first cause she didn't register what he said. When it clicked, she didn't know if she should take him serious or not. This was Jack Sparrow after all. Never know when to take that man serious.

But she knew without asking, that he was absolutely serious. Dawn's eyes drifted to the sails that needed to be open. She couldn't help but see his logic in asking her to put wind into the sails. She had never been sailing or anything of the sort, but the wind would help them travel faster. As in her own opinion, helping put wind in the sails was better than doing nothing.

"Sure," she said finally as she started to stand, "As soon as the ship is ready, I'll see what I can do."

[John.:Angel Grove:.Command Center]

John looked at the foreign sight in the orb and sighed on the inside as he knew the other earthlings would have recognized the base. Feeling lost among the others, John simply nodded and took in everything he could.

He could offer to the group what little he knew about tactics from his obsession with military magazines during his high school years. His understanding could be vaguely applied when need be, so he would do his best.

"If I could offer a suggestion," John said jumping in, "I'm no tactician, but what would be best in attacking a fortified position would be diversion for the first part. We have enough people to split up our attack so we can hit them soft on the first go and then ram them hard from the higher side of the volcano."

John stood there somewhat awkwardly, as it was the first time he realized that he actually gave any real advice to the group. For him it was really the time to stop being timid. He should have been acting like a warlord instead of the jester of the group.

[Nick :: Narnia :: Seymour's Castle ~ Courtyard >> Main Hall]

Nick stared as Louis vanished into the darkness, hopefully ending up back with his group. He couldn't help but feel bad at his actions, because if he hadn't gone to Tortuga, he wouldn't have had to hurt Louis so back to cover his story. He said a small prayer to himself, looking at the ground where he was standing. Nick had never been one for prayer or anything of that nature. Yet...he felt this was an exception.

After lingering around the courtyard for a bit longer, he swallowed his pride and went back to the main hall to face Teacher and his possible punishment for his rash decision making. He could only hope he wasn't in too much trouble.

[ 'Teacher' : Narnia : Grand Hall ]

"You did what was best for the plan, Sir Nicholas," the woman spoke the moment Nicholas walked into the grand hall once again. She hadn't moved from her spot since they'd left; if anything, one might have thought she was an onyx statue due to how still she remained throughout the morning.

"Now, onto your ignorance of the Ivalician ways. Come forth," she said, and for the first time since their arrival, she moved slightly to the side, beckoning him to stand beside her. The strange machina sphere behind her was giving off a strange hum, clearly having been activated at some point prior to his return.

Jacob ll Tortuga ll The Challenger

"AYE AYE, CAPTAIN! On my way, five by five!" Jacob rushed down into the crew quarters and tenderly placed Louis and mirror in a hammock before sprinting back up to the deck. He ran up the mast and dove for the ship's rigging, gripping the hemp rope as tight as he could.

Jacob took his shirt off in one smooth motion before swinging it around the thick mast. "Thank Disney for Mulan," he muttered under his breath. His palms were sweating. His shirt: slipping. Jacob leaped from the main mast to the crow's nest. He cat-walked along, slicing open all the lashing in the way, concentrating on the wood and rope. It was a long fall to the wooden deck. "THE SAIL IS OPEN! LET'S KICK IT INTO GEAR!" He exclaimed as the last lashing was sliced off. The brilliant cream-colored sail fluttered open and unrolled all the way down to the bottom of the mast.

Jacob slowly slid down the wooden mast to the creaking hull of the ship, his heart pounding in his chest cavity. I'm not afraid of heights or gravity. I'm afraid of weak molecular forces preventing me from phasing through the ground."

[Joe: IoT: The Challenger]

Joe looked to Jack, his face holding a small bit of defiance. Really? Oh well, he might as well do it so they can all ship off.

As Joe began to work, the male grunted. Sure, the anchor started to move, he was fairly strong. But he wasn't Superman. He'd definitely need the extra help of James and Kyle to actually get it up and out of the water.

[Amy : Angel Grove : Command Center]

Amy had completely forgotten about the appearance of the view globe. Oh, sure, as a child she had this all memorized, the weird disembodied head, the annoying and faithful robot, the layout, etc., but she had forgotten it all over the years. All she could think of now, as she viewed the globe, wasn't the information being shown to her, but Captain Picard's voice saying, "On screen," as he pulled down the corners of his uniform and sat in his seatbelt-less chair.

Shaking her head, she tried to pay attention. John was saying something about attacking, and Billy had just said it was Rita and Zedd's old base. She remembered Rita. Rita was amazing. Rita gave female villains everywhere a good name, and was amusing. Zedd was epically evil until the Power Rangers beat him half a zillion times and Ooze came along and pwned him. Now, she just viewed Zedd as a second rate villain.

"So, wait," she said, hating to assume anything, especially if it involved attacking the head evil people's headquarters, "How long have the adults been missing? You probably said that before, but I sometimes miss things... um... yeah, we aren't actually planning on attacking that base are we? I mean...," she was getting nervous now, talking to Mr. Disembodied Head, "I mean, I'd like to help, but who would protect the town from all of these ships, and all of these Heartless? Um... I don't know what I was trying to say. Yeah."

Who would protect the town? Good point, Amy, but not one you were trying to make. How about what you really think, that attacking the base of three super powerful villains containing an army of ooze creatures, heartless, and likely innocent mind-controlled zombie adults, doesn't sound very wise to you. How about that. Stop talking to yourself. You're not talking to yourself. Stop thinking to yourself. Stop it. Stop.

[Tortuga ~ The Challenger]

"Whoa, hey, you think you can--?"

If everything were like a cartoon, a cloud of dust would have been seen behind Jacob as he hurried off to help with the sails. Noelle sighed and went down to the crew's quarters to get Louis back into shape. It didn't seem like he had a dress sphere like the rest of them--his clothes hadn't mended themselves or anything. The agromancer figured it wouldn't be so pleasant to wake up from a near death experience covered in bloody, cut up garments. She approached the hammock Louis had been put in, noticing the mirror beneath him beginning to fade. The farther the mirrors got from their summoner, Sayrike, the less she was able to keep them in existence. It made sence, and was convenient at the time (You stuck the mirror in a hammock? Lord, what a dork, heh.).

Noelle swallowed, still feeling a little grossed out by the blood factor. She was slowly getting over her queasyness, though. It seemed as if the longer she was around it, the less it affected her--like desensitization. Standing awkwardly next to the hammock for a few seconds, she decided what she should do next. She really didn't want to wake him, he probably needed the rest, but didn't want to leave him to fester in his disgusting clothing. Deciding to continue cautiously, the blonde carefully tried to remove Louis' shirt so she could get it clean and patched up as best she could.

'Are you not going to--'
Don't even say it.
' . . . What? I was just going to ask if you were--'
No, the pants stay RIGHT WHERE THEY ARE.
'But aren't you--'
No, I'll find him new pants and he can change them HIMSELF . . . OR SOMETHING.
'My, so bashful.'

The agromancer quickly left the crew's quarters in search of the galley where there would likely be some sort of fresh water store. She hoped there would be, anyway, because she knew it would be more likely for her to find fifty barrels of grog and no water. Once she had found the galley and rooted around a bit, she found what she was looking for--some water, a few buckets, and a very large disgusting looking lump of what she could only assume to be soap. It didn't look like it had been used too often . . . because it hadn't. Deciding to leave the soap out of this one, Noelle went to work rinsing the shirt as best she could. She took cupfulls of water and ran them over the blood to get it all out. Once it was as clean as she could get it, she wrung it out and tossed it over her shoulder. Grabbing a rag (after having rinsed it several times as well), she filled a bucket with water and returned to the crew's quarters to try and wash some of the remaining blood from Louis' skin.

[Nick :: Narnia :: Seymour's Castle ~ Main Hall]

Nick moved towards the giant machina sphere, staring at it with a brow raised. He felt the sword that Louis picked out for him bounce against his hip as he moved ever closer to the mysterious orb. What would it do? Send him to another dimension? Open an archive to all the information he would need? WHAT WOULD IT DO!?

Although his exterior remained calm and unafraid, on the inside, the teen was ready to bail out of that castle and never look back. He could admit the idea of death was frightening, but here in this world, he had no idea what could happen. For all he knew, he could vanish without a trace and be forgotten. He only had one step left until he was next to his teacher. The Lanista paused for a moment and took a deep breath.

"...Alright. I'm ready." Nick made his final step up to the machine, ready and waiting for what would happen.

[Jenny :: Isle of Tortuga :: The Challenger]

Louis...

He came back. He wasn't dead... bloody but she could tell that he wasn't dead. Did they all have the right to scream at him for leaving them and scaring them all half to death? Jenny hung back, with her back against the wall. They were getting ready to set sail and everyone was helping along. The mage clenched her teeth as she tried to appear as small as possible. Everyone's helping out, I don't really have any upper body strength to pull sails and anchors or anything... I'll... I'll go ask Noelle if she needs any help!

Jenny easily ducked into down the stairs that led to the crew quarters, peeking her head in to see Noelle's back. Blood, she wasn't quite comfortable with it. It made her a little squeamish but she was more than determined to help in one way or another. "Hey Noelle, I was wondering if you need any help?" The flutist piped up in a rather small voice as if she was suddenly overwhelmed by the feeling of uselessness.

[Tortuga ~ The Challenger]

Noelle almost jumped when she heard Jenny's voice. She hadn't known anyone else had come down. She set the bucket of water down next to Louis' hammock and looked back at the flautist with a smile.

"Sure!" She said softly, so as not to disturb their resting comrade. "I was just trying to get Louis fixed up a little. He was all covered in blood and I didn't want to just leave him. If you want, you can take this water and kind of get rid of the remaining blood and my sticky healing stuff. I was going to go look for a needle and some thread to patch his shirt up as well, so I can do that while you take care of him. Or you can go look, whatever you want."

{James : Tortuga : The Challenger}

James was lost in his own thoughts, as he seemed to be so often. He wasn't even all that sure what he was thinking about... Though part of it involved processing what all had occurred since they had arrived here not much more then an hour ago. Noelle had fallen from the sky... found a girl running from the guards, had to go save two people from the gallows... and then they arrived here and had to fight the avatar of chaos. The corsair let out a sigh, looking down at the water's surface.

'This always happens... we get to the world, things go crazy.'

'They were crazy beforehand, just you don't realize it until you arrive.' Fenrir replied.

'True enough... Now we're going to find Tia Dalma and who knows who else...'

James was yet again drawn out of his reverie as Jack got his attention, ordering Joe, Kyle, and himself to haul up the anchor. He looked at Jack incredulously for a moment. He knew from things he had seen and read that the anchor and anchor chain were very heavy and hard to reel in... even with a winch. Still they didn't really have a choice, they weren't going anywhere until the anchor was hauled in. He silently nodded and moved to where Joe was, positioning himself in front of the the bo-wielder and began to pull. He did so, just in case things started to go bad. As long as one of them was strong enough to hold it, it wasn't going to fall back into the water.

{Auron : Tortuga : The Challenger}

Auron watched in silence as the kids were sent to work by the pirate captain, doing things such as hauling up the anchor, and releasing the sails. He had assigned three boys to the task of pulling up the massive chain and anchor, not an easy feat. He set his katana against the mast and removed his arm from the sling position he always held it in to allow use of both arms. He then moved behind Joe and grabbed on, beginning to pull as well.

"All together now!" He said to the boys, trying to coordinate their efforts.

{Black Waltz : Angel Grove : Lugae's Lab -> City}

"You serve Lord Kefka as well?" The Black Waltz heartless asked the replicas in it's eery whispery voice.

The Heartless vanished for a second, flashing small distances before appearing next to the replicas. It's sinister golden eyes narrowed intently as it looked at the replicas, trying to sum up their power... It could sense the darkness within them, and the great power that was surely with it.

"Shall we then?" It asked, vanishing once again until it returned to the teleporters and vanished.

{{Cue: Chaotic Battlefield}}

It would reappear in the city below, both hands charged with magic as it floated above, it's wings flapping to keep it airborne. It then unleashed a number of fire spells upon the buildings, causing massive explosions, all the while cackling maniacally. The Waltz would show it's true power to Lugae and the replicas as well.
