Oliver Queen, The Green Arrow.
"Hmmm, is that so? Ollie answered. Seems this Cyclops guys knows more about him that Ollie knows about Cyclops. He had to meet the guy. And he felt compelled to meet him in person, "I'm going to go talk to Cyclops. See whether his plans involving me have changed."
With that, Ollie went out towards where everyone was eating, guessing he was still there. And his assumption was right. The only thing he knew about Scott was what he looked like, and there he was, talking with Songbird.
"You're the one they call Cyclops right? Figured to come see you in case anything about where you're putting me has changed."
He can do either offensive strikes or stay back and act as defensive. By he's no good for collecting. He's only a man with a bow and some nifty trick arrows. He can't teleport people anywhere.

Kesshou looked at Babs. "I haven't been eating quite as much as I usually do, I don't want to chance getting tired in the middle of battle. I'll scarf something down before we march out, don't worry." She smiled and watched as Green Arrow walked out the room. "Shall we follow? I was looking for Garth when I found you two."

Oracle nodded, "Might be a good idea, breakfast does sound good right now. So, how are you acclimating to this place, Kesshou?"..........................  Melissa stood to greet Oliver Queen. Though the archer was much taller that the magenta and white haired young woman -- who stood at 5' 7", Songbird did have an air of confidence that wasn't easy intimidated. Something about Songbird would seem to indicate to Green Arrow that she's been though a lot and has seen her share of action. Melissa held out her hand to Oliver, "Hi, I'm Songbird. I'm guessing you're Green Arrow. There's a police officer in Central City who used to be in Star City. He told me a little bit about you. From the stories, you sound similar to the hero led me with the Thunderbolts -- Hawkeye. Anyway, I'm looking forward to working with you."

Well Cyclops wasn't the first to actually talk to him, but the women sitting next to him. She came over to Ollie and introduced herself as Songbird. After she told him about the fact she heard a bit about him, Ollie finally got to talk, folding his arms over his chest and smiling, "Well you sound an awful lot like my wife (ex-wife? Heck if I know) Black Canary. Interesting how our respective universes have somewhat similar people," said the Green Arrow "I look forward to working with you as well. Speaking of which, where is this Hawkeye? I'm pretty sure our similar skill sets would work well in tandem.

Kesshou shrugged as she stayed next to Babara so she could catch the human if she fell. "I adapt easily. After a childhood like mine, it comes natural." She smiled at her walking partner. "Although with how troublesome the childhoods of most mutants are, you're most likely tired of hearing the stories." Kesshou didn't seem bothered at all over talking about her past, just more concerned with not disturbing Barbara.
She sighed and looked over to the other woman. "Although I haven't heard anything from Uncle Sabre since the merge... I do worry about him."

Songbird shrugged, "That...I'm not sure. I think he's active somewhere, but at this moment I don't know. There are a lot of heroes missing -- especially our Avengers and your Justice League. It almost seems too convenient for the bad guys. In any event, we could ponder on this all day, and it would get us nowhere. I know I don't have to tell you this...
"Anyway.... I think that we can cover each others backs and help protect the rest of the team between you and I. I'd pull on my experience working with Hawkeye, and you'll no doubt will pull on your experience working with... Black Canary, I think you said? I take it she uses sound attacks like I do? Just so you know for when we work together on this shindig, I can create hard sound constructs and well as blast with sonic screams -- anything from shields, weaponry, giants, containment fields, etc. If you have any questions for me, now's probably the time to ask. Those kids will be depending on us." One observation Oliver probably would have noticed at this point is judging from Songbird's speech pattern -- she's from somewhere in the West like Colorado or somewhere around there. As Kesshou assisted Oracle walking back into the dining/kitchen area, Babs still used her cane and braced her other hand on the tiger girl's strong shoulder, "Actually, I really don't mind hearing those stories. I'll be around to offer a friendly ear. And if you like me to later, I can do some searches to find out what happened to your uncle."

Kesshou smiled wide at Barbara as they walked into the dinning area. "Being able to see Uncle Sabre again would be very nice. Although don't bring the others in on it. Because he's not very X-Men friendly... If you get my meaning." The smile faded some as she looked around the room. Although it quickly returned once she saw Beast Boy.
She hugged Babs real quick. "I'll let you get to the important stuff." She then hurried over and sat near Beast Boy and the Flash Twins. "Hi Garfield." She smiled softly at him.

"Hey there Kesh"
He smiled sitting next to the girls. Garfield wasn't sure how the turn out of this mission would be so for the meantime he was trying to take in these calm moments and enjoy them for how they were.
"Scott is the leader for this mission but if you want to sit with us before we have to go your welcome. Is there anything you wanted to talk about?"
Garfield had a small crush on this girl very much still and he stared at her when she approached. He scooted a little making room for them.
Vickie and Jackie Allen sat eating what they could after having obtained the food but remained rather quiet for quicksters. They were not able to get into the training or assignment of the mission though they were very sure that it was for good cause. Jackie Allen was the oldest and she wasn't confident enough in her skills at controlling her speed were enough for a mission like this. Let alone carrying people going that fast which only her uncle Wally or cousin Bart was capable of doing successfully. At any rate the girls were just glad to be in the room with everyone before they had to leave and were willing to stay and protect people at this new home if it had to come down to it.
Cyclops looked to songbird and nodded when she asked if they were ready for this kind of a mission. The toast in his hand was set down and his eyes looked to Songbird.
"I think we can handle it. We have a lot of able bodied people and we all have an idea what we are getting ourselves into. I just hope that my leadership with all these strangers will stick and we'll run into no troubles."
He paused and looked around. Spotting Beast Boy and the girls and then to Oliver queen. His gaze was one that judged a bit more as those were the people he was most worried about. These new comers who didn't have powers or had powers that weren't tested in action nearly as much as Cyclops would have liked to see.
"You are a great Leader, we can do this. I Vill go talk to the girls."
Kurt saw Cyclops looking around and took initiative to go over and see the girls before going. As well as some other people he'd like to talk with and get some down time before the mission as well.
"Let me know when it is time to leave. I'll be around"
((Sorry for the short post. I'll try to catch things up if I can during this hiatus. I got a job, college work, graduation work, carreer services to deal with, art commissions and health.
Also, commandeered the flash girls from Soul to catch them up emotion_bandaid ))

Songbird nodded toward Cyclops, trying to read his expression remembering Fixer's report about him, "We'll handle anything that comes at us, Cyclops. I'll probably work closely with Green Arrow here; it'll be like working with Hawkeye." Melissa turned her attention back to Oliver, "By the way, is there anything we need to go over before this shindig?"Jinx sat down near the X-Men field leader. The former HIVE criminal was in the Batgirl costume, still looking like an eery copy of Barbara Gordon. Roshni sat down with a plate of syrup coated strawberry waffles with sausage links on the side. The dyed redheaded Titan sipped a bit of orange juice before asking Cyclops a direct question, "Quick question: When we go in, you need me to sneak to their main servers and their command room to disable everything -- either a simple short or a complete frag is up to you? Knocking out their command and control would make their coordination more difficult and easier to extract I.O. test subjects." Jinx took a bite from her waffles while waiting for an answer.

The one they called Cyclops looked at Oliver with much more judgmental eyes than the others. It was likely because he was a newcomer to the mutant leader, having no powers given to him by some mutated gene or experiment or anything really. The Department of Extranormal Operations, however, did have his file, in which they believed that he indeed possessed a metahuman gene, and that explained his almost impossible feats of accuracy, "Look, Cyclops right? Yeah, I understand your concern for me, but in my universe, I've worked with people that can move mountains and shoot laser out of their eyes on a daily basis fighting alien entities, supervillains, and abominations many would consider gods. I think I can handle whatever our target can throw at us."
After saying his piece about what Oliver thought was concern for his own safety. The Green Arrow may be only human, but he is a man not to underestimate. He looked over towards the pink haired lady called Songbird and smirked, "I'm not too sure about his game plan. Mostly because I just got here after the League told me my assistance will most likely be needed. So if I can get a brief summary on objectives and things to watch out for, I'll be able to adjust my inventory of equipment from there."

"Well, you did see Oracle's briefing on I.O.? Anyway, they have 146 kids that they are experimenting on to trigger mutant abilities -- not caring whether or not they kill most of the kids in the process. Our main objectives are to rescue the kids and capture I.O. leaders at their Phoenix Base," Songbird took a breath before continuing, "Apparently, I.O. is responsible for killing off most of the Titans from your universe using 'programed assassins.' We're talking the whole brainwashing bit here. Also, they're cloning a 'Tamarian' (I think I'm saying that right) for a cadre of super-soldiers....
"Some of the kids manifested already, and a few of them managed to bust out on their own. The ones who broke out are holding out in a cave with a few of our allies. Also, one of the I.O. scientists switched sides and is helping the escaped kids. Dr. Henry Willowfield was 'disturbed by I.O.'s disregard for human life.' That, and considering that he risked life and limb to save some of the kids, I'd be willing to cut the man some slack. The leaders from I.O. we need to capture are their director Ivana Baiul and her second in command Matthew Callahan (aka Threshold, a mentalist). Also, we need to stop Drs. Jack and Rose Summers from their cloning research. On top of that, there's the thing about the alien cyropod; but have no idea who's dealing with that.
"Of course, I.O. has a lot of goons, weapons, and robots. Classic villain lair stuff. From the experience I'm seeing here, I think we'll do fine, as long as we don't underestimate these bastards. Anything else you want to know?""

Barbara had returned the tiger girl's embrace, then grabbed some food -- two eggs, an open biscuit, and poured sausage gravy over them on her plate. After half eating her serving of breakfast, a thought crossed the redhead's mind. Babs pulled out her comm tapped into the X-Men's network and called Crystal Lasill (remembering that her comm was still working), Oracle to Catgirl, what's your status? Is everyone still safe over there? And does anyone need anything like food, drink, or blankets?"

 Just as everyone was finishing up their breakfast, a small chirp sounded from both Oracle's PDA and Green Arrow's JLA comm from the Watchtower computer: Heavy weapons fire detected about identified I.O. Phoenix Base indicating a pitched battle. Multiple explosions at site.Babs blinked hard at the message, "That's strange. I'm not picking up anything from I.O.'s chatter to indicate that there's something going on."Jinx's ears seemed to perk up, as Dr. Desmond Powell frowned in Oracle's direction, "Yeah.... That does sound odd. I'll take a quick peek right now." Powell quickly dons his mask and fedora to complete his Nightshade costume and opens a small portal -- and literally poles his head through it. After a few moments, Nightshade pulls back out and closes the portal. Snapping his masked gaze in Scott's direction, Nightshade addresses the X-Men leader, "Yeah... heard some gunfire, heard jets, and saw Sentinels real close to that cave, Cyclops. I'd say someone kicked over the anthill. I can open up the portal on your word, Boss."MahoHaku You can have Nightshade open the portal in narrow dark fissure in the canyon where outside the cave. And yes, you can have the portal open in your post too. Crystal Lasill Time for some mischief..... Groganofthewasteland Oliver could probably get active feed on his JLA comm, considering that the Watchtower computer is directly monitoring the site of the base. Cyclops clicked into a leadership role and was prepared almost suddenly with his experience to go. He turned to Oliver Queen and placed a hand on his shoulder with a deep breath.
"Okay, I trust that you can help. We'll need you to bring anything good against guns, goons, and tanks. Specifically the sentinels. Nasty business even for people with powers but I think you can manage."
He took his hand from Green arrow next to look to Desmond powell.
"I want you to find a secure close location you can open a portal for us to enter. Watch each other's backs, nulify goons and weapons when you can and make sure to get the kids out safely."
He turned to Kurt. Hurridly he wanted to get to the place before anything worse could happen.
"Kurt. You'll teleport anyone when needed. You remember what we practiced."
"As for everyone else... get your weapons, gear and minds together. We can do this so long as everyone gives 110%"
Kurt's attention was sharply grabbed by Scott's command and he knew it was time to leave. He leaned by the flash girls and patted Flash Girl's head.
"I'll be back... I promise. You two stay safe I have to go."
With that he went over to Scott.
Garfield stood and brushed off his pants.
"Are you coming too Kesh? If not I have this for you..."
He gave Kesh a small peck on the cheek. His Beast Boy charm starting to peak up just before the battle. A little bit of him wanted to make it as least stressful as possible and what best way for it then to lighten the mood. Though he thought after that maybe it wasn't the best idea, seeing how he just met her and all.
"Well, even if you were coming, I guess it's a bit of good luck too..."
He had a moment of distraction as his mind wondered after impulsively kissing probably the cutest girl he's seen outside of his own universe since he got there. The second or two passed and he nodded towards the group.
"Let's go." Crystal Lasill BB is crushing before a mission as a typical BB would. Groganofthewasteland Olli I think has what it takes if you want him to ready specific tools he has that would probably get this rolling. Also, hi... I don't think we've ever formally introduced. I've been highly inactive and that's the worst first impression ever. Skuld HJG I am not sure what Kansas is doing but if you could do something so Either soul and I could post that would be great. Sorry for the long wait. I lost my job emotion_yatta

It sounds like things are heading south quickly. And just as Nightshade confirmed this, Oliver also picked up com chatter from the Watchtower, "What's that Bats?" he asked before he got confirmation of what Nightshade had stated, "Roger, I'll be heading out," he answered, closing the coms and looking over at Cyclops when he confirmed that Oliver's help was likely going to be needed. Anything good against guns, people, and tanks. Sounds like the typical arsenal. Explosive Arrows, Standard, and anything to knock out people. Didn't sound too bad. When he mentioned Sentinals, Ollie answered, "Those shouldn't be a problem. If one of your guys can punch a hole through it's armor, I can bring it down."
They didn't call him one of the worlds greatest marksmen for nothing. If he can plug up gun barrels, split water droplets, and do this while hanging over a ledge, downing a giant robot shouldn't be too much of a challenge. As Cyclops went over the game plan with the others, Ollie ran a mental checklist on his equipment one more time. One hundred percent sure he got everything for the mission at hand, he steeled his mind for what was to come. It was going to get pretty dicey soon.
