And I decided that Aerclayr's text would be black from now on. Easier to read, I guess.))

Aerclayr jumped when he realized that he had just walked into a fight. "Huh - what?" At first he saw Layla, almost falling off of a rooftop somewhat higher than his current location. Then Vexis, scrambling back up. The... the mist.

Aerclayr noticed that a ship was nearby, as well. Chances were it belonged to one of the two femme fatales punching it out. So if he helped Vexis - if the ship was hers, they could leave in it. If the ship was Layla's... then they could take it when Layla was done for.

This made about as much sense as anything else to Aerclayr at the moment - he was still somewhat dazed from being contained in the gray room.

The mercenary climbed up onto the roof, a fair distance from the fight yet. He positioned himself carefully so that Vexis would see him and Layla would not - he was behind her, even if by a fairly large distance so far, and had a chance to launch an effective sneak attack.

Aerclayr removed a small silver disk from a strap on his forearm. Pressing the center gently, four blades quickly ejected each from a side. It was a modern throwing star.

Aerclayr must've tried to fly too close or something - he got sucked in by security measures, apparently. I'm still not sure how it all went down, either, but I'm working on that. xd ))

Vexis stopped where she was briefly, confused on what the intentions of Aerclayr were - who was this person? What if he was aiding Layla? Oh crap. Vexis -not thinking- prepared herself to attack Aerclayr instead, gotta take out the enemy's allies first, after all! "I see you're not strong enough to fight me on your own, instead, you had to call out one of your mutant freaks of an ally, hmm?"


Layla rushed towards Vexis, trying to repeat the last time she was actually able to hit Vexis. "What are you talking about? I need no allies, nor do I have any...I kill all of my so called 'friends' before they can kill me!" She said rather coldly, still trying to get past the uh...mistiness of Vexis.


Vexis re-solidified and sliced Layla across the face pretty good with her claws, finally, a place on this woman where she wasn't all metal! Vexis disappeared briefly, reappearing behind Layla. "Then who the hell is that dude?" she asked, pointing to Aerclayr.


(( xd "D'oh!" -Vexis never really saw Aerclayr after all, so she just thinks hes one of Layla's underlings! lol ))

"Huh?" Vexis looked quite confused now, occasionally glancing back at Layla, and then back to Aerclayr. "Hmm....I expected a much uglier brute was in that ship, ah well, guess I was wrong! Sooorry...uhm....insert-name-here, I'm Vexis! ♥" And once again, Vexis' short attention span and playful personality got in the way. Vexis didn't even notice Layla coming up from behind her.


Layla immediately took the opportunity -she struck Vexis hard in the back of her head, hard enough to knock out or kill most normal beings. "You call yourself an assassin? Hah, what happened to your 'element of surprise' then?" Layla said mockingly to Vexis, then kicked her forward to make her fall.

Aerclayr's star was airborne in an instant. The scalpel-sharp edges glinted in the sunlight.

"Nothing personal against either of you-" Aerclayr said loudly as he jogged over to them, "but I just want to go. I have a bounty to catch-" Aerclayr yanked another star out of his strap, "and I figured you'd be more likely to be an ally. I also want my stuff back - where's my Elxonion Gauntlet? That thing cost like three times as much as the entire planet of Eros is worth."

He was exaggerating, of course - or was he? - but still his point came across clearly. This was an awkward situation, and Aerclayr only wished to get his revenge against Marth.

[*waits until I can turn the ship around and bust things up for the empire*]
