Once they were a good distance away from the town's borders, Shun stopped to catch his breath as well. Looking back, he checked to see if there were any straggling creatures coming after them from behind. As far as he could tell there were none. So, he ended his night vision spell and let out a sigh.

"I think we lost them..."

Gritting his teeth a bit, he looked down at his arm. The bite wound was still fairly deep, so he had a nice set of human-like tooth marks on his forearm. Now it had finally stopped bleeding, but he was feeling rather weary from what just happened. It would be a good idea to find a safe spot and call it for the night, if they couldn't find Ryuujin soon.

Taking in a deep breath, he let out a sharp whistle, hoping to call the horse if it happened to be in the area. Once they were safe for certain, he'd deal with cleaning up and bandaging his bite.

Poke slumped to the ground after SHUN whistled for his horse, watching behind her incase those creatures decided to jump out or creep up on her. She hoped the horse was going to come backl she had kept a spare water bottle on that horse which she fillied up reguarly to keep her hydrated.

"Lets hope so" she finnaly replied once she could breathe again. "I say next town we find, we ask what the hell those things are."

Bad choice? Just like that, with barely a rude word this woman had dropped her friendly facade and instructed her lackeys to do the same for him as they'd done to Neko. Hell, had he known that he was going to be screwing himself over this early in the game, Yuki would have at least said something worthwhile of the punishment.

Oh well, too late for that now. Right? He sighed in frustration, and muttered something incoherent to himself as he stood to face the humans following their leader's orders. The cage door opened and two men let themselves in. Really? Was it really supposed to be that easy? If all of them had reacted at once... What would they have done? Had Yuki the ability to take hold of his sister and make a bid for freedom he may very well have done it. But, that was out of the question, and since he had the feeling that pain was promise one way or another he might as well hand out a few injuries himself. Sure, it'd be short lived, but he wasn't going to roll over like a dog this quickly.

Had Yuki not expected some sort of violent action as soon as they were within range, it would have been more than foolish on his part. They both came at him at once, and Yuki jerked to one side just narrowly enough to miss the kick to his gut. Such a small area to work with, that was all he managed to initially dodge. At the feeling of fingers grasping his shackles he drew back and aimed his own kick at the brute. As much as the feline would have loved kicking him straight in the teeth, there wasn't room enough for such maneuverability. There was room, however, for a crippling kick right where it would count. Only a temporary stun, however. Surely if they'd been in this distasteful business for an extended period of time, a blow to the sensitive areas, groin included, wouldn't be quite so promising a win.

Yuki felt the wind rush over his head as he ducked a swing from the first man. That was a little too close. Rearing his head back swiftly, he headbutted the b*****d hard in the face. The shout brought short lived satisfaction as the sight of blood met Yuki's eyes in the moment that the fool's head kicked back. Hopefully he'd broken his nose, maybe knocked out a tooth or two. A smile tugged at his lips, only to disappear in an instant when he realized that the bloodied mug of his attacker was smiling right back.

His focus on one had left enough opening for the other. Behind him at this point, the first human that Yuki had struck slammed his weight into him and hard. Most likely, this was intended to be against the opposite barred wall, had his partner moved. He didn't, and instead grabbed hold of Yuki by the shoulders and raised a knee to strike him with an amplified force. In the end, seemingly a return of the feline's first blow. That, unfortunately, was enough to disable him long enough to be bound upright.

Despite his lingering pain and awkwardness, he spat toward the men as they secured the door again. When he spoke, his voice was lightly higher than normal, but he didn't seem to care. "Worth it." He wheezed. Whether his smile was forced or genuine, he openly bared it toward Tessa. The only thing surfacing in his mind was the deep desire to have his feet on solid ground. Then he'd have the upper hand, and wouldn't be so quick to overpower.

As he looked around and tried to listen for the sounds of hooves beating against the ground Shun sneered a bit at the thought of trying to figure out what the creatures were exactly.

"I kind of don't really want to find out," he uttered under his breath. A part of him wanted to just forget about the things. Most likely he'll never have to deal with them for a job, and he knew how to kill them now.

A little longer, the sounds of a horse could be heard coming close. And sure enough the black stallion had returned. He still seemed a bit skiddish, so the assassin stepped up to it to try and calm him down.

"Easy Ryuujin.. easy."

After a moment or two, the horse settled down, and Shun promptly climbed onto its back. He winced a bit as he did so, needing to use his left arm some to help swing himself onto the back. Once he was on he glanced towards Poke, waiting for her to climb on as well.

True, she didn't want to think about those creatures, or ever see them again, but all in all it wouldn't hurt to know more about them, incase there was the chance she would end up finding them again.

"thankfully..." poke muttered when they horse came, and once the horse was close enough, she eagerly jumped on behind shun. In the distance she could hear that moaning coming closer.

"okay, lets go, lets go!" she said to him with urgancy, not wanting to hang around for any longer.

Nodding, Shun gripped onto the reins with his right hand before digging his heels into the horse's sides to get it to go off in a gallop. And soon enough, the distant moans were no longer heard and the town was out of sight. It wasn't for awhile that they finally stopped for the night. There were no other towns in the immediate area, but at least it was clear of any signs of those things.

Seeing how slow the creatures were, he had doubts they'd be able to track them here anyway.

So, with a sigh, he dismounted the horse and patted it on the neck. Looking around, there were a couple trees, as well as a small pond nearby. While he waited for Poke to get off as well so he could let Ryuujin go take a drink, he went ahead and asked her something quick.

"Why exactly did you try to help me out back there?"

Despite Yuki's slightly victorious expression Tessa smiled. "Now that's the kind o' energy I like. Fight tooth an' nail ta tha very end unlike your friend here." Tessa looked to Neko with a sly grin while he rolled his eyes. "Gave up without much o' a fight really. Only managed ta get strung up because he wanted ta be a trouble maker."

"It's what I do best," Neko shrugged the best he could despite his bindings. They were already becoming a bit uncomfortable but he wasn't going to let it show.

Giggling Tessa looked back at her men as they climbed into the front of the carriage looking a little worse for wear. "Now come on, gonna let a little brawl bring ye down?

There was no reply as the wagon was on its way again. No matter, Tessa would find a way to amuse herself. It was going to be a long trip after all. Turning back to the girls Tessa rested her chin in the palm on her hand. "So girly, the one with the short hair. What be yer name?"

Atticus kept his eyes closed as he listened to the brawl begin. Instead of saying anything, he simply scooted his butt in the opposite way of Yuki, to avoid however many bulls he was about to be hit with. Atticus wondered if Yuki would feel the same way about the little squabble being 'worth it' after his legs collapsed from standing all that time.

Meanwhile, Riyo could only listen to the sounds of a fight breaking out... Seeing as how there were hulking men standing in her line of sight. Sounded pretty bad out there. She hoped everyone was okay.

God help these people if they weren't.

Once Yuki had been strung up, Blade glanced over at him. Over all, it seemed they were making it harder for themselves. But, he'd much rather put up a struggle about it than just go along with everything with the hopes they wouldn't be harmed.

After all, their own wills were still free.

Tessa apparently hadn't heard his mumblings, but he supposed that was better for the time being. It may have saved him a few more kicks and punches for now.

Shifting a little more, he tried to see where they put Riyo but he still couldn't see her. Also, he realized the dog was nowhere to be seen. Had they just left it back at the cottage? It was too bad it wasn't thrown into the cage with them, seeing how it might at least bring some comfort to the girls.

As unfortunate as it was that his actions seemed to please the woman rather than irritate her, Yuki tried not to let it get under his skin. He'd see how much she liked him when he wasn't contained in such a small space, when he was really able to fight properly.

The thought of what exactly was in store for them didn't surface in his mind. How could it, really? Certainly, he could assume... Even his guesses were likely far from the truth of the trade, but even then he hated the idea. And, in the case of his sister, feared what it might include.

It irritated Yuki when the human questioned again, he gritted his teeth a moment before opening his mouth to snap at her. However, before he uttered a word Hitsu spoke up instead.

If you could call it that, considering a simple, timid answer was the only response; "Hitsu."

Yuki frowned. Not to say that there was much harm that could be done in exchanging names, at least as far as he knew... He just didn't like it. These people didn't need to know anything about them, yet here this one was prying persistently.

By the time the moans had died down and were no longer heard, poke had dozed off, letting he rbody relax and recover from the shocks that had followed thorugh the night. She awoke once the horse had stopped near the lake, and shun had asked her a very intruiging question.

"well, if you want to know the full truth..." poke swung herself off the horse to stretch. "Theres alot of people out there who believe that humanity is full of people who are evil and should be whiped out. I just want to prove to them that it's a complete load of bull."

"though, the short answer is, I have no idea were I'm going and if I ever want to see my friends again I'll need you to lead me to them. Take which answer you want, I don't care"

With those words she chose to jump into the small pond. It was the best place for swimming, but it had been ages since poke had had any sort of bath. She reveled in the feeling of being submerged in water again.

Once she was off, Shun went ahead and guided his horse to the water to let it drink. Initially, he didn't say anything in response to Poke's reply. The first one was rather interesting to hear her say in the least. It made him wonder if she felt that way because she was half human herself. Not to mention a few of her friends were as well.

The second one, he felt was a little more typical and more along the lines of what he would have expected. While she told him he could go with whichever answer, he had a feeling it was a mixture of the two rather than one or the other.

"Which is why you stay close, despite what my intentions are."

A bit of a double edged blade Poke was handling with this. Shrugging to himself, he went ahead and tethered Ryuujin to a tree now that the horse had its fill of water. From there, he went to try and see about their rations, but they didn't have much left at all.

Poke had let herself drift lazily to the bottom on the pond, not really caring about much at that moment. She had come a long way from her home town, much father then she thought possible at her current stage. But all in all, had she really changed?

Her previous statement to shun was a bit more revealing then it should of been. Sure it proably meant nothing to shun, but it meant alot to herself. It was something that she had told someone else in the past, to prove to them that what she said was true.

Avian... poke thought, remembering the man who she had once called a friend, who had grown so cold to everyone else that he had drove them away from himself, and as a result, almost all her closest friends were gone.....

s**t, this isn't helping! I'm not going to let him get the better of me. I will find them! I will be stronger then him so I wont have to put up with his angsty bullshit!. At the thought of finding her friends she winced. How was she sposed to find them all?

Shun rummaged around a little more, but he wasn't coming up with much. Right now there was just enough to really fill up one person. Cursing lowly to himself, he decided to just focus on fixing up his wound first, then worry about the food issue.

So he dug around for the bandages and headed to the pond to clean up the bite wound. As he splashed water onto it, he looked over towards Poke who hadn't responded. Normally he probably wouldn't have cared so much but she seemed to be lost in another world somewhere. Raising an eyebrow, he shook his head. Something, either what she had said earlier or his own words had gotten to her.

Once his wound was cleaned up, he started to wrap it in some bandages.

"Do you always zone out when you swim?"
