Tomokazu-kun Baizou smiled bashfully at Trina's theory. He then looked to Drakhir, "There was a loud sound like thunder before you came in." He said, swinging his legs over the side of the chair. "Was there? I wouldn't know. I wasn't here to hear it." Drakhir said sheepishly. Translocation was still a relatively new technology in this universe, and without a gate to pass through, most of his choices had been limited.

Trina nodded. "I see. Well, it's wonderful to see you again Drakhir. Very nice indeed." She looked at Baizou. "This, in case you hadn't guessed, is Baizou." She said, having no explanation, so offering none.

"Are you going to be alright?" she asked softly, tilting her head as she looked at him. Her cheeks were tinted red again as she realized she had acted cold towards him for the first time.

"I noticed... is it due to that..." Drakhir made the finger motions for quotation symbols " ...'magical cold' thing that did it?" he asked curiously.

Baizou slid down from his chair and followed Trina again. He waved at Drakhir, "Hello, sir." he greeted politely. Everyone here seemed moderately familiar with him and he wondered if his parents had sent him here to be watched over.

"No. I never though that would happen...Tali might leave to a new area and Su might die from that fever. I should go look for him..." he looked at her and walked to where Su was, "This feels like a dream. Am I awake?"

Trian looked at Bai, a thoughtful frown. "I was unaware he had one...but a the other night Ellie had been casting a lot of spells, so maybe this the result." She said, smiling at them both again. "Got me thinking though...about my friends as children. I was never small...were you?" She asked, curious.

"If I pinched you, would that prove you're awake?" she said, her voice light. "Go find him. I don't want those two to end like that...Su's a fantastic guy, if a bit shy, and I would miss Tali's teasing."
She smiled softly and walked over to Asphiel and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "For luck," she said, then turned and ran up the stairs, her ears turning red as she climbed the stairs and disappeared into her room.
((and i'm gonna go to bed as well...see y'all tomorrow evening!))

"Several times over my lifetime, but if you mean like a child, I suppose only for a little while shortly after I became self-aware. My people tend to... " Drakhir winced. "... used to mature quickly." he explained.

Trina gave him a concerned look. "Used? Something happen Drakhir?" She asked, a tad worried that something was upsetting him.

He watched her go up and stood meditating. Then remembering that he was wasting time her made his coat and weapons appear in light in front of him and lfet out the back door.

"It's... old history now, Trina. My... I guess you'd call him my brother... he eliminated the rest of my kind, with the exception of myself. I am all that is left now..." Drakhir's purple eyes unfocused as he looked at nothing in particular, vivid memories of how Razarim had taken each of his victims passing in front of his mind's eye.

Trina's dark eyes softened with sadness for Drakhir, because she knew exactly how that felt. Apparently the brother was now gone as well, and even though Trina knew he had not liked him, it was hard to be one of the last, and one was reluctant to let another being like themselves pass on when there were so few. She leaned forward a little, hoping to draw him out of whatever he was recalling. "I am glad there is at least you..." She said softly. "I am sorry to remind you of it...let us not dwell on our respective races...we are here now, and such things do not matter as much." She gave him a smile.

Baizou's green eyes stared at Drak as he told his story, silently taking it all in. He clung to Trina's leg, resting his head against it. He didn't even have a kind. He really wasn't any particular species. He just existed.

"Of course, of course... please forgive me..." Drakhir said hastily, mentally banishing the images. Sighing, he said "Anyway, while it was great seeing you again, I think I'm going to follow the crowd and turn in. It's been a long day for me. I won't be going anywhere soon, so I'm sure we can continue this discussion later." he said, giving Trina a tired grin.
