AzurePaleSky hilaroma AzurePaleSky Hey guys... so I plan on taking the next school year off to live back at home/save money/ travel, and then apply for graduate school. I don't know if I should apply for school in southern California and thus stay here, or if I should go out elsewhere. I have people telling me both things... saying that I need to experience what it's like elsewhere, and then others telling me to stay here. I just think it'd be hard moving to a place where I didn't know anyone. I'd be afraid of not being able to connect with anyone and then getting depressed (like I was when I first came to college here). So anyway, I'm wondering what your experiences have been with moving away from everyone you know and such or staying at home and what you'd recommend! I know it depends on the person and all that. Also, I think it's a big difference if you're moving with your partner or to your partner, which as of now I'm not. Maybe that'll change and I'll be whisked away, but until then... who knows! You kind of already know my story about moving up north for college. So...that. But I think it may be a similar experience regardless of where you go to school. Unless you know someone you'll be attending with, you're basically starting over, no matter the location. The only difference I can see is being comfortable or not with the climate (weather and/or social) you decide to live in. Does that make sense? I've been having trouble articulating myself lately... sweatdrop That makes lots of sense! What does not make sense is why I spilled pho all over my desk... it's my first time eating it. I got it 'cause it reminded me of the ramen we all got together in Little Tokyo! But it's too hot to eat right now. gonk I hope you didn't burn yourself! gonk

But you'd probably rather crush your testes in a cider press than enter a single one of em. Not all of us are into that stuff, I'll have you know. talk2hand Ohno from Genshiken says otherwise. Otome Road, baby heart it's in Ikebukuro~ You know, it's amazing...as close as I lived to Ikebukuro and as many times as I've been there, I never saw that place. I don't know if it was my strong will of trying to avoid it or if I just never was in the right area. I wonder how close it is to the station...
