They know that the heroes cannot be killed in the nexus, but they are working on ways to break their spirits, such as what happened with the Winter Soldier, and taking Iron Man's Helicarrier. The names Reed and Sue came up from the one known as Doom.
They seem to think if they can take the headquarters of the heroes then eventually they'll be able to take over the Nexus.

Suprisingly enough, Skrulls did not come up in that conversation, but something called the High Evolutionary did.
