The only people who argue are the ones who don't want to lose and the ones who actually know when something doesn't make any sense what-so-ever. For example.
"A seemingly harmless man suddenly envelopes the world in darkness, forever banishing it within a hellish replica of oblivion, allowing his powers to increase 400 fold from his already god-like powers."
See, that makes no sense. Darkness in that form can, in no way, increase ANYONE'S POWERS. Whether you be born in darkness or made from darkness. Sure, you can use the darkness to your advantage, but you can't just say "Oh, it makes me more powerful." Take Psionics for example.
"I use my uber-l337-psychic (LOL, PSIONIC IS COOLER) powers to create a spectral realm consisting of a clear runic floor, allowing one to see the stars, planets, and the universe all at once. The man looks at his opponent; now trapped within his divine world created from molding and shaping the fabrics of time and the universe, locking it into place with the runic floor below, to create the vaccuum of space in which they stand. 'This is my realm. I created it. I own you. You can do nothing without my consent.'"
In short, no real way that you could ever possibly do this as folding the fabrics of time and space to create your own realm within the real realm would cause a chaotic chain reaction within the universe. I.E. Light would become darkness and darkness would become light, causing a sort of negative affect on people as you would on a camera and what-not. But since the universe wasn't originally created that way, plants would die, planets that were once hospitable would become barren waste-lands, suns would explode into millions of pieces of dark matter and life would cease to exist.
In short, Psionics are not possible in that sense, as shifting the universe around you would cause devastating chain reactions. That's why we use energy and not the fabrics of space and time. "For every action, there is an equal, but opposite, reaction." If you create a realm for yourself using the universe's materials, you ultimately destroy a part of the universe somewhere else. BUT, if you take someone else into your mind using that same priniciple, the only thing you are risking is your mind.
Now, using energies is completely un-related, as the Universe contains enough energy within itself to last for trillions upon trillions of years; longer than we can ever possibly calculate or imagine. If one uses, say, fire energy, nothing happens that is noticeable, because as I said before, the universe has nearly limitless energy. I won't go much further on the subject as I don't feel like talking too much and the fact that I just began to feel lazy. Hope this clears things up.

(read: don't invent new, out-of-the-realm-of-rational-thought powers whenever we think of self improvement) Missed this somehow. The last post of the page thing used to plague me as I always had something important as that last post, and because of that lastness, 'twas missed. Thanks there, more witty than I. I would have left alone picking at him and just pointed out that it's silly to tell people he doesn't know what they're like, personally, but a valid point.

God dammit, I've got my DSL back - for the record, don't buy Comcast's bull. Thanks to how they manage things, they tote at best, 3MBPS; DSL is easily faster than their internet connections. But onto my actual point: Clash ain't coming back anytime soon. It's unfortunate. It's true. I've never seen a single soul use a character quite like mine, much less pull it off in the manner I do. But, Ertai - I don't give a s**t.. if you took the Earth, and punt-kicked it in your post. You do too much, too swiftly in just one post, and I call that "Time Modding". What should take you several long moments [splitting two realities apart & crashing them together?], you have your character do in several paragraphs in but one post, giving your opponent no time to react. At all. None. Which is not skill - it's Time Modding, coin'd. Iiii'd "hunt you down and beat you", albeit, I lack interest in it. Any. It wouldn't teach you a thing - what will teach you, I wish I knew. The point is: You seemed to've returned from your leave, no longer Ertai whom I had some tiny hint of respect for, but Lord a*****e, Wanna-Be Epitome of Power.
I hope this tournament gets big, continues. Because I'd love to get far in it, fight your character from any given branch, and in a later topic that's big such as a semi-final or final, defeat you. Mostly because, it seems if you're ever going to improve, you need to be humbled. And be assured Ertai, whether I'm one or not - there are people out there who can do so to you. Quite well.

If it weren't for the fact that he's fighting Ikibe, I would just throw this round to get it over with. I'll be happy to never deal with Dreslin again.
Oh, and I love how every detail of my posts gets extreme scrutiny and bullshit thought up about it... except of course when its inconvenient to Dreslin.
(Or however you spell that word...)

Tacitus in the possible case that Mindblaze faces one of my guys' again, can we skip the powers/abilities stuff, choose a weapon to use, and duke it out in melee combat? Might get through the fight faster.

That depends on which incarnation of Mindblaze ye fight, Dressy-kins. If, by some chance, you fight the Avatar again, he can't do melee, so I'd have to refuse. We'll see.
And ******** post as Pikachu already.
@Deity: XD Believe me, Tacitus can go for a very long time and as he's set up he is high on the defense category. His power theme (how I use him) doesn't allow direct attacks to be made against other people without clerical magic or his weapons, but it also provides incredible defense. If Viper were playing Tacitus...it'd be MUCH different. XD At this point I'm rather confident he would actually be able to do it too...
