That doesn't fix the core problem: RP, essentially, is just a bunch of whiny kids pointing their fingers at each other and pretending they're guns and yelling BANG BANG! And then some kids pretend they've got a rocket launcher, and then some kids pretend they're a dinosaur, and then the kid no one likes yells BANG really loudly all of a sudden and claims everyone's already dead and the geeky kid argues that couldn't possibly happen and then meanwhile a jock gets shot and declares that the person missed and then shoots back and declares that he never misses and pretty soon someone else takes a leaf from the jock's book and in a few minutes it's all one big arguement.

That's because Gelmax didn't create the Realm of Nonexistence. Never did, never has, never will. ******** read my post before you comment on it, dumbass. Anyway, I'm not the one asking for mechanics before accepting anything and everything. Since mechanics are so important to you and only you, why don't you explain your mechanics?

Thank you for not telling me about who I am when you probably know about me only that I've been in this contest's OOC a little here and there.

Essentially, this is true. If there are no rules, or limits, then so long as one or more players are more interested in winning than other things, the power struggle just grows and grows, one upping constantly.

The trick, really is to either implement solid rules to prevent this or else that very rare group of roleplayers who will, or else, to go around the system rather than through it.

Essentially though, it comes to mind that these arguments which pop up repeatedly are usually moot if there is not a solid system involved accepted by both parties; so order is what it comes down to. If the players won't accept how the other wants things to work/thinks things should work, in terms of super technology and the supernatural, then there is no progress or much point. It sounds to me like the two of you run on a single system, but many of the rest of us probably have no idea what that system is or how it works. And I think many are enough like me that their free time is more for either fun or random boredom curing that they wouldn't want to look up and learn it simply so they can roleplay with people who play using it for sake of greater power/competing with people like that in their roleplay. And with the level of argument it seems to cause regularly, to those not already in it, I believe you can see where it begins to seem a bit of a joke that they should learn it simply for use in one of many play activities.

I'm going to stop babbling now, else I'll bring back old habits and people who tend to write shorter OOC will not care for it.

Edit: And off to do another such activity I go until the computer is free for my use again.

That fancy "circle style of talk" that portrays you as the loser is a little trick I like to use called "logic".
