I'm doing alright. Looking forward to the Halloween event. I joined in November last year, so I barely missed it.
I'm glad I'm back too. I hate when I lose my internet. Most of my friends are here.

Yep. I've been here for everything since I joined (although I don't for the life of me remember what the Christmas event was sweatdrop )

So how do they set up the event? Is there a new forum? -- wondering where the contest threads will go.
And you go to the shops to get stuff, right? Then chase down Jack/Easter Bunny/Santa Clause, whatever?

Different events are set up in different ways. For instance, for the New Years event, they made a special, temporary forum. Every 5-10 posts in the forum, you'd receive an event item. You could only receive the events by posting in that forum.
For the Easter event, there was no special forum. All you had to do was surf around and/or post, and every two minutes, you got an Easter egg. After you collected 10 eggs, you got an Easter basket with an item in it.
From what I remember from Christmas, you could go "caroling" to the different shops to earn "Christmas cheer". Once you earned enough, you could hunt down Santa either on the map or in Towns to get a Christmas box.
So no one really knows how this years event will work. Although it's a safe bet to assume they'll make a special forum for it and that there will be some sort of "trick or treat" feature.

X is pretty much counting on a forum, so AiR can post the special halloween contests... I don't know what we'll do if there isn't... need to make sure people find them.
I also hope I get time to trick-or-treat and all that other stuff. Sounds like so much fun!

here's another question:
have you ever been able to use the /locate command in Towns to find someone's house?

Ananda... you've got to see this
[npc] Ron Bruise has a house, and there's a huge party going on.
23 Barton 003812.
Not some other Gaian... it links to his profile.
What a riot!
