Kilik took all of this in, word by word. He didn't intterupt her at all until he knew she was finished. The boy looked around for a minute before opening his mouth to speak. "So? Do you want me to find this guy?" he laughed a bit to himself then patted his backpack. "Listen, Nina. I'll be fine. I doubt that this Mayonaise Manskirt--er...whatever--is going to be coming after me anytime soon." He thought for a minute.
"Oh. I'll be needing to battle you soon for the Marsh Badge, okay?"

Nina's eyes grew enormous and she literally stared at her PokeNav for a few seconds, as if trying to figure out if Kilik had really said that. "No, I don't want you to go after him!" she practically screeched into the phone. "If you get attacked by a man with a strange Pokemon, do whatever you must to get away from him, and tell me what he looks like. I've already warned Kasiya about this, and I wanted to tell you, too. Just promise me to be careful when you're out and about."
She paused for a second, then continued. "And, the Marsh Badge? That's not a problem. Like I said before, I'm heading to Saffron soon to talk to my parents, so I can hang around there, if you wanted."

Kilik held the PokeNav away from his ear when she had yelled out. A few people on the train looked at him with raised eyebrows. "I wish you had told me that before!" he hissed, "I just left Saffron to go home!" he slapped his forehead and groaned, "Stay in Saffron until I arrive. If you can do that, I promise to be careful when I'm 'out and about'." The boy smiled.
"Please?"

Nina's eye twitched when Kilik told her that he had just left Saffron. "All right, I'll have Krystal take me to Saffron when I hang up with you. When I'm done at my parents' house, I'll head on over to the Gym, so I'll meet up with you there, alright?" Nina scratched her nose as she awaited his response.

Kilik looked out the window. The rolling hills of Verdanturf were in view. Part of him wanted to jump out of the window and go from there. However, he shook his head of the thought. "Fine by me, Nina. And so you know..." he clenched his fist, "That Marsh Badge is mine!" he laughed. "See you soon," he whispered as he hung up.
The PokeNav looked up at him strangely from his hand. The boy looked back, his eyes quivering slightly. I just talked to her? he asked himself, Nina... he smiled and tilted his head back.
The train thrashed along the tracks, bringing the people on board closer to their destination.

Nina stared at the Pokenav again, her mouth ajar, not believing that Kilik had just sounded so cocky. Oh, you won't get that Badge if I can help it! she thought, feeling a surge almost of rivalry. She put her Pokenav away and was happy, thinking about her future battle with Kilik and how much of a challenge she knew he would be. For a few moments, it had helped to take her mind off of the impending danger.
The psychic walked outside and drew Krystal's Pokeball, releasing her. "Time to head back to Saffron, Krys," she said, getting on her Dragon's back. A few moments later, she found herself on the way to her second hometown.

After having watched the amazing fight between Falkner and the unknown trainer, Ky was filled with a new enthusiasm towards becoming a trainer. As Ky and his younger brother Al walked back home that night, Al asked him why he was smiling so much.
"I just know now how much I want to fulfill Trea's wish now. Starting tomorrow morning, Little Guy and I are going to train," Ky responded.
"Don't you mean tomorrow afternoon?" Al corrected smartly, knowing his brother was only a morning person when he had to go to school. Al sighed. "Well, I'm just glad you're finally doing something. Everyone else at school likes to brag about their older sisters and brothers. I'd like to come to school with something to say."
"Jeez bro, be patient will ya?" Ky said, a little irritated. "I haven't done this before, ya know."
That night it just so happened that Ky couldn't get much sleep. He spent most of it tossing from side to side, thinking of ways he could train Little Guy, improvising drills and exercise routines in his head. He looked over at his nightstand, where Little Guy's Pokeball sat, and remembered the day he woke up and saw it there for the first time, with Trea's farewell note attached to it. He deeply missed his older sister, who at this time was training hard in the region of Hoenn, dreaming of being a gym leader. Ky held that dream too, hoping to hold a gym title as well some day. Who knows? Maybe if Al followed step, they would become a famous gym leader trio, all siblings. Of course, that was up to Al. Having all of these thoughts coursing through Ky's mind, he soon fell asleep, having nice dreams of achieving his goals and living out his destined future.

After riding her Mach Bike north of Odale she soon spotted a large, crystal clear lake. "Great! I just won the right to surf!" Mitsu said throwing Nightmare's Pokeball into the water. The large yet friendly Gyrados soon appeared giving a happy cry as he lowered his head. Mitsu carefully got on, nearly falling into the water. Grasping onto his large scales Mitsu pointed forwards. The other side didn't seem too far away. "Over there please Nightmare," Mitsu said before he lurched forwards. "Not so fast!" she cried almost falling off for not holding on tight enough. "Waahh!" she cried again as he merely picked up the speed. He seemed to be laughing. Practically holding on for her dear life Mitsu looked ahead. The land was soon approaching. "Uh oh, better not pull a Mike here," she said remembering the many times his Pokemon had thrown him off. Before she knew it her eyes dull a bit. "Mike..." she whispered looking down into the water.

To Al's surprise, Ky actually did wake up that morning, getting ready by 10ish or so. Ky's mom had known he was starting his training, so by the time he came down the stairs, a quickly-prepared breakfast lay on the kitchen table.
"Wow. Thanks Mom," Ky said as he looked at the food. It looked delicious, having eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, orange juice and milk. The aroma was overwhelming, making his stomach rumble and mouth water.
"Breakfast of the Elite Four, as they say," his mom commented. "Eat up before it gets cold. Oh, and I picked and prepared some berries for Little Guy too."
Ky nodded in understanding as he ate and used his free hand to pick the Pokeball from his belt. The bowl of berries was also on the table, next to the fruit basket in the center. "Time to eat, Little Guy!" Ky called out as he expanded the ball and let him out. Little Guy noticed the bowl quickly and started to peck and swallow each berry one by one.
"You should know that Natu like those berries a lot, since they are found high on trees where they have trouble getting to. Normally they have to wait for them to fall, but these ones are ripe," Ky's mom lectured.
Ky did notice that Little Guy was wolfing them down, finishing a few minutes before Ky. When they were done, Ky let Little Guy hop onto his shoulder. "Thanks again Mom," Ky said as he head out. Ky's plan was to go just to the edge of the city, where it was private, but not too dangerous. He didn't want to be attacked by wild Pokemon before Little Guy was truly fit for fighting. Before he was too far away, his mom called again.
"Ky! Here!" his mom said as she tossed two rectangular objects towards him. Ky caught them clumsily and when he looked at them, he smiled. What he had in his hands were the same pads that his sister used for impact training for her Pokemon. These ones were the softer type, meant to absorb the impact without doing harm to the least experienced of Pokemon, but also tough enough to keep the outside fabric from being ripped.
"Perfect," Ky said.

The meowth snickered loudly at Z's obvious annoyance. "I know in my heart that you are not as evil as you seem. You are probably just misunderstood and are trying to do the right thing even tough you don't want to but you are always at the wrong place at the wrong time so people think you are bad. I have a perfect name for you. Cole, After the missunderstood demon who just wanted love." Z said standing up an brushing himself off. Meowth stopped his laughing and looked at Z in bewilderment. This was the strangest human he had ever met. "You shall now be a part of my pokemon team. I can't wait to use you in battle." Z said going into a daydream about using his meowth to defeat the elite 4. The newly named Cole meowed in annoyance and began to run away as fast as he could, hoping to escpe the fate of being owned by a human. Z quickly grabbed his ball and pulled him back into the ball to keep him from escaping.

Kasiya sighed loudly, looking at the campfire with disdain. It had been a while since she'd sent the Pokemon off to hunt for Pecha Berries, and so far, only three of the four had returned. Fang had also come back from his nighttime hunting excursion, and was now resting peacefully, hanging upside down from the branch of a tree. Seto looked up at his worried trainer and gently licked her hand, his eyes glowing in the light of the flames.
"He isn't coming back, is he?" Kasiya asked dully, referring to the newest addition to her team. Casimir had shown nothing but resentment for her since she'd captured him, and even though she'd given him the Soothe Bell and taught him a fairly powerful TM, the vicious Absol still hadn't shown anything other than aggression. Hiro gave a low whine, resting his large chin on the top of her head. Kasiya reached up and patted his soft fur, glancing over as the ailing Raichu gave a whimper in her sleep.
"Why is it always you that has to suffer?" the girl asked rhetorically, her voice trembling. From what she could recall, Shocker had always been on the receiving ends of the most violent attacks during battle. She remembered the battle with that Seth boy, and how his Dragonair had slammed the poor Pikachu (back before she'd evolved) into the ground, resulting in a two-day stay at the Pokemon Center's ICU. Only hours ago she'd fought bravely against Casimir, taking the worst of the hits in comparison to the rest of the party. But then, she also remembered how Shocker had trounced Misty's Pokemon, and even defeated her father's Raichu, also back when she was still a Pikachu. Both victories had been soundly secured, and were gym matches as well. Once she got home, Kasiya resolved to give Shocker a few weeks' vacation. The very brave electric mouse had certainly earned a break.

"Sir, I am reporting back after successfully completing a covert mission." She saluted; somehow sure it was unnecessary, before she continued. He was in a terribly good mood, it seemed, and this added to the admin's confidence. "Do you remember those rumors we'd been researching, several years back? About the relics, I mean?" Her right hand clutched the Rocket ball so tightly that her knuckles were turning white. "We sought to either discredit or verify their existence." She cleared her throat, openly smiling, excitement shining in her pale blue eyes, and went on. "Well, this afternoon, a scout we'd posted in Vermilion overheard some intriguing talk from a few of the elderly members of the population. It seemed that the location of the first relic, or rather, the first piece of the relic, was located only miles from that quaint harbor town." She paused here, waiting to see how her boss would react to such a revelation.

Keeping one hand extended so she could hold onto Shocker's small paw, Kasiya managed to get comfortable, leaning back against Hiro's broad, yet soft chest. The warmth of the fire Pokemon kept her warm, and periodically she'd sit up to check on the Raichu, making sure she was warm and as comfortable as possible. She dozed off and on, the occasional, normal nighttime noise jolting her awake. She checked her watch on one such moment, and looked towards the horizon. The sky was lightening up, for soon the sun would be rising. Kasiya sighed, standing up and stretching her legs. All the Pokemon around her were still fast asleep, excluding Seto, who'd been sleeping with one eye open ever since his return.
A strange cry in the distance caused her to stop suddenly, her body freezing up with fear. Seto's ears perked up and he too was now fully alert, keeping his keen senses attuned to whatever may have made that awful noise. Kasiya also kept her eyes fixed upon the area where the noise had came from, and after a moment, two glowing, crimson dots came into view. Taking a subconscious step back, Kasiya stared at it, realizing after the silver fur came into view that it was Casimir. The Absol slowly made his way towards Kasiya and the rest of the party, stopping only when he sat in front of his trainer, chest heaving from exhaustion. Kasiya blinked, unable to believe that he'd actually came back, doing a double take at the branch he held in his mouth. Three plump, juicy looking berries dangled from it, each pink and succulent. With a shaking hand, Kasiya reached out and accepted it, carefully examining the berries. They were indeed the Pecha berries she'd coveted, and she gently plucked one from the branch. "Casimir, I don't know what to say. Thank you," she said softly, turning and feeding the sweet berry to her Raichu. Shocker opened her eyes and chewed slowly, obviously enjoying the flavor and texture of the delicate berry. The Raichu sat up, sighing in relief as the poison flowing through her system was neutralized. She managed a smile then, raising a thankful paw and extending it towards Casimir, who gave a modest nod in reply.

By now the whole campsite was awake, save for Fang, and were all looking relieved for several reasons, the first and foremost being that Shocker's poisoning was healed. Secondly, Casimir had indeed returned, and was also the hero of the moment. Shocker, mostly back to her cheerful, happy self was now devouring the Oran berries that Ariel had brought back, much to the delight of the shimmering Vaporeon. Kasiya watched the pair of them happily, finally turning to Casimir who had chosen to sit by the fire, even though the sun was now beginning to peek over the horizon. She felt a little guilty for doubting him, although she did realize it wasn't without reason. The Absol could have very easily run off and never return, but Kasiya pushed those thoughts aside as she knelt beside him. "Thank you, Casimir," she said again, smiling as the Absol actually turned his head to acknowledge her. He simply nodded again before he looked back at the fire. Kasiya watched him, a newfound respect for the roguish Pokemon brewing in her heart. "I hope we can be friends, and grow stronger together," she told him as she stood up. She reached over and gently touched his head. Casimir glanced at her once more, and nodded again, although he shrugged her hand away. Kasiya chuckled a bit, and went about getting together some sort of breakfast for her crew before they'd begin to make their way to Mauville again.

Miharu looked slowly around the now quite familiar town, and nodded. "This is good," she said softly, reaching into her pocket and pulling out a small pouch. She opened it, and counted her money. "I think I'm going to head over to the PokeMart," she stated finally, slipping the money pouch back into her pocket. "I'm going to pick up the Cut HM. Maybe it'll inspire me even further to challenge Bugsy." She'd been in that store many times now, and she realized that she didn't remember how much that particular HM cost. Not sure if Rin was following or not, Miharu slowly made her way toward the blue-roofed building, contemplating other purchases in her mind.
