It's not like I was "terrified" of the turtle . However, I was not expecting that when Brian walked in the door today that he would go "HEY LOOK" and be holding a turtle. Definitely not an every day thing xd

He was a cute turtle. If you would have released him around our house, someone would have caught him. I think he's much happier where we put him. Nobody to bother him up there! heart

You win coolness points in my book. I too have rescued a turtle from certain doom. A painted turtle was zig-zagging in the left turn lane of a five lane road (six if you count the right turn lane), very busy, trying to find a way out of traffic. Even if he reached the edge, the road has high curbs. I, being pro-turtle, stopped the car, scooped him up and set him free in a nearby marsh. *images not of actual rescued turtle

I think we misidentified Colonel Honeycutt. I think he was an Ornate Box Turtle.

I guess I could use an update. Name's still Mitch Underhill. Up to 21 years of age (22 in 33 days). Living in Louisville, KY. Currently between schools, switching from an education degree to nursing. Working full time at Whole Foods Market, trying to find my own place to live, rather than living to be 30 and still being in my mom's basement. Time outside of work mostly spent sleeping, gaming (360 + Guild Wars on PC), and reading way too many comics. Note of lulz: I do actually live in my mom's basement right now. In an attempt to provide me so form of privacy, my bed was moved from the room I was sharing with my step-brother to the laundry room downstairs.

I don't think you can read "too many comics," bud.
On the Miggy front, I went to the Rocky Horror Picture Show for the first time last night. Good God, was it epic.

Not exactly next door neighbors, but...

Miguel OHara I don't think you can read "too many comics," bud. On the Miggy front, I went to the Rocky Horror Picture Show for the first time last night. Good God, was it epic. Ooo, fun! Was it a theater production, the movie with people acting in front of it, or just the movie? And were wacky costumes involved? D<
...why yes, I DID have a lot of gay theater friends in high school, why do you ask? :B
Man, I hadn't even SEEN the movie before they dragged me to a live version. I made the mistake of showing up at their place in civvies, and ended up heading out to the show in a duct-tape corset and appropriately garish make-up. sweatdrop

It was the movie with people acting in front of it. And yes, there were lots of wacky costumes. During the pre-show, my friends and I had to go up on stage with the rest of the virgins and they ******** with us. Good times. Luckily I had watched the movie (at home) before, so I wasn't completely lost.
My dad was really into the Rocky Horror scene when he was in high school. He and his friends would see it like six times a weekend. When I asked him how many times he's seen that movie, he said he lost count at 500.

Roger the Homunculus Louisville!? Awesome. I live in Lexington. Not exactly next door neighbors, but... Shiz, still closer than anyone else I've met on Gaia that I didn't drag kicking and screaming back in '03, when I was oh, so overly obsessed.

Miguel OHara I don't think you can read "too many comics," bud. Well, considering I just spent sixty bucks on a shrink-wrapped package of the entirety of Countdown, despite hearing that it was less than stellar, simply because I was sad on missing out on it after getting every issue of 52 the normal way, I'd say I'm pretty darn close.
