Sunny looked around and bit her lip. "Which way.....?" She asked herself as she peeked down a corridor. Clutching her book to her chest she tried not to groan, as it would be most undignified of her to fret too terribly. "Already I've lost my way? Perhaps I should invest in a compass" She whispered, wondering if it was undignified to talk to oneself in times of mild stress.

Farind fades into sight beside Sunny, smiling warmly.
Farind: Lost your way, my dear? The library's right over there. Say, you're the girl Kibo's been thinking about nonstop, aren't you? I'm Christopher Farind, Kibo's former captain. I'm not sure if I've met you before or not. I have a terrible memory.

Sunny blinked up at the Captain before hurredly bowing. "I-it's a pleasure, Captain Farind. M-my name is Hinata Solei, but please call me Sunny if you wish" She stuttered and blushed. "The Admiral... He's spoke of me?" She accidentally let the question slip out and immeadiatly wished she could call it back. "Oh... I'm sorry, I'm sorry! That was rude of me to ask. I shouldn't meddle" She said in a slight panic. She knew she needed to impress this man, seeing as Kibo saw him as such an inspiration. "We haven't met formally, good sir, but I have heard the Admiral speak of you fondly. I must say it's a pleasure to meet the man that he admires so dutifully" She said, forgetting all about her library.

Farind: Bah, enough of the formalities. I haven't talked to Kibo in a while. But I've been listening in on his thoughts. He's very fond of you, Hinata. He's afraid to tell you, though. After that discussion you two had about love, he doesn't want to tell you that he... well, loves you.
"Kibo's gonna kill me for this..." He thought.

Sunny stumbled back a little and held a hand protectively over her chest. "H-he what?" she managed to gasp with wide-eyed disbelief. She shook her head and blushed darkly. "Dont... Don't tease me so cruelly. I'm familiar with this sort of thing. A man pledges his devotion then runs when I reciprocate. I won't be tricked, Captain. I care quite deeply for Kibo... Errr... Admiral Botch, and I'd not dare to compromise our bond. I'm sorry if you don't approve of me but... I won't risk driving him away! I'm sorry" she stated firmly. In her mind it was impossible for any man to truly LOVE her when she was lacking so much.

Farind chuckles, and looks over Sunny's shoulder.
Farind: There. Happy, boy?
Kibo was standing behind them, his hand covering his mouth, his face deep red, and his breathing shallow.

Sunny looked back and felt as if time had slowed to a stop around her. Her blood felt as if it had turned to ice and her eyes and face burned. Then suddenly everything was back to normal and she began to run, unable to take more rejection. She stumbled a few times and her vision was blurred but she felt as if the walls were closing in and her feet refused to pause.

Kibo falls to his knees.
Kibo: See, Farind? I told you. She's running because she knows I love her. Just like everyone else.
Farind: Oh suck it up. The only way she can get out is by running past you. Talk to her once she realizes that.

Sunny stared up at the wall in front of her as if it deliberatley built itself just to spite her. She looked back toward where shed come from and paced like a trapped animal. With a low whimper she slinked back the way she came, her eyes to the floor and her hands fidgeting in her hair so harshly it was as if she'd pull it out.

Kibo doesn't even make eye contact as she passes. However, he does mutter a single statement, barely loud enough for her to hear.

Sunny stopped and looked up at him through bleary eyes. "I... I don't want to... to be tricked again" She managed to say as she felt her heart already begining to break. She was sure she knew what was coming. In fact she squeezed her eyes shut and clenched her fists in preparation.

Storm was sitting down next to her then, watching Sunny's face. She was smiling soothingly.
"Ah, but you will lovie. Kibo Both is a vile little trickstier, haven't you heard?"

Sunny looked at Storm as if she'd been slapped. "Don't talk about him so! Admiral Botch is a good man! I won't listen to tongues that wag to spill nothing but slander! Kibo... ADMIRAL Kibo is an honorable gentleman who I gladly serve and... Care for" she said with force that seemed beyond her shy demeanor.

Kibo turns towards her, his face blank and expressionless. As he speaks, he slowly rises to his feet, and walks over to her.
Kibo: I don't want to hurt you, Sunny.
He chuckles to himself. Not because anything was funny, but that he was slowly beginning to realize what was happening.
Kibo: I've been so afraid of my feelings lately. I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that someone would actually fall in love with me, not just to get something out of me. I still don't know if you really love me, but I love you, and I just want you to know that.
He reaches Sunny, and wraps his arms around her, resting his head on her shoulder.

Storm looked as if she were to burst into laughter.
"Kibo, an honorable gentleman? Well, there's a first time for everything, isn't there?"
Her eyes hardened then.
"Take this advice if you never listen to another's again: that man will hurt you, and very badly. He's a pirate and you must always remember that, savy?"
She was letting her slang flavour her words, and was vaguly annoyed by it.
"There's a good reason folk call us 'lawless,' and not just because we steal and all that rot."
