Mairead, best of luck with everything and I hope everything goes well for you.

Okay, I've been unable to save my avatar for a couple days, does anyone know a way around the blank screen I get when I save?? Or is everyone else unable to save? I know a bit off subject, but it's nagging me! xp

smile 'bout time Mairead, good luck.

Luna: it took me about three days of trying to get mine to save too. -___- You just have to keep at it. I kept getting that blank screen too, or else it just come back with the saved changes on the avatar you dress, but not the one on top. It was so annoying.

*pops in between research projects* Thanks everyone, I found out yesterday that I really like my new therapist he's a great guy. Really easy to talk to. My moms still being a pain in the butt and still keeps saying that I'll grow out of my depression even though the therapist told her it was built in and she knows damn well that it runs in the family stressed Anyways, I'd better get back to work. Thanks again everyone.

grace checking in too... let's see,... what's new in my life? um, well, josh and I got an early christmas present from my brother: the battle for middle earth.. the game i've been waiting on for a long time. i'm having such a blast with it ... [when i even have time to play that is...] then, work has really been taking over. it's sooo maniacal in there... saturday afternoon... the guy in bikes went on lunch and didn't tell me.. i walked back there and it was a total RE moment.. i mean.. people all came at me all at once... i was like... eek gonk xp yeah... heh.. had to wade through that... some people are getting mean. and i heard that yesterday there was a guy who was trying the move where people don't pick a line and try to stand in between both to get which ever moves faster... and so the guy behind him told him to just pick one.. and the guy wouldn't... and so the one guy asked him what his problem was and if he was racist... and then kept standing there anywyas.. so after they were both outside; the guy behind him went up and sucker punched him dead in teh facE#!!!! whee xd lol i was only disappointed that i missed it.. supposedly the rude dude came runnign in with a bloody face... xd fun fun... been hearing tales from people who were by other stores in our area.. hear about lots of fights breaking out... oh boy... this is really a bad year here. most of the time here they aren't like that

Mairead
Posting a mini update on my (cheers and waves a tiney flag) College finals are this week (causing me to be a basket-case). My boyfriend got his ship out date for basic and got what his job will be (major basket-case on my part) He got E.O.D. just like he wanted and i was dreading. Plus he ships out July 25 (any help/ support in dealing with that sort of thing please pm me about it ^^ I need some good coping strategies). On a good, non-Basket-Case note, he and I have sought councelling for our relationship and feel more in love and more confident about our future success than ever. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy for long periods of time. I got a clean bill of health from my doctors. I'm switching therapists (tad basket-case "ness"). And finally I told my parents in a nice way that I dont believe what they do and they absolutely hate me and have no tolerance for me. (grrr-ness) Wish me luck on my psychology final sweatdrop I'll need it. (bows and climbs off the mini podeum)
good luck with your finals, i remember how crazy i was when i had them....and i had all these papers due...... crying

ok i have a question for everyone.........how does one fly with a 3.5 month old baby? i've never done it.........am i allowed to bring my car seat? or will i have to hold him the whole time?
PostPosted: Wed Dec 15, 2004 9:03 pm

If you purchase a seat for him you will be garunteed to put his carseat there. But if you do not, you will have to hold him if the flight is full. You may want to ask the flight attendant if the flight your on has open seats if you can move there. Otherwise you will have to hold him.

My best advice is to be genuinely sorry if your child screams or is a nuiscance. Because generally people are accepting if the parent is like sorry, i apologize, heh...babies, and you make a genuine effort to comfort him.

you might ask the flight attendants during flight if you can walk up and down with him. If he uses a binky, or bottle have one ready as you are getting ready to lift off, if he's BFed have that ready too. It'll help with any ear popping.

Also, if you haven't bought tix yet, sacrifice your own sleep to take flights at rediculous hours when HE'LL be asleep for CERTAIN. Also, on Red eye flights you might have a better chance of getting an open seat without paying AND you'll pay less for tix.

Excellent advice!

I have flown with my son before, and I did many of those things. He was pretty well behaved (he was about 1 yr. old at the time) though, so it wasn't as bad as I had envisioned it to be. He was such a lady-killer flirt that the flight attendants would actually ask me if they could walk him up and down the plane.... even if he was being good! They just wanted to hold him! biggrin

Definitely ask if the flight will be a full one or not. That's a biggie. And definitely give the little one something to chew/suck on during lift off for the ear popping. A bottle or binky is perfect for this.

Also, don't be afraid to ask to be moved to another seat if need be. They will usually allow this if there are seats available. Maybe move to a seat with less passengers around it.

Good luck with your flight!
