I never liked the ending of the first Superman movie. . . I thought it was lame as hell. Why would they give him a power he wasn't supposed to have in the first place, and then never use it again?! Made no sense and was completely stupid. . .

Match doesn't know about any detecting. It's not to say that Match thinks of anyone else's detecting skills as negligable, just that the proteges of the world's greatest detective would probably represent the highest extreme of detective skill. I would imagine all of the experienced heroes would have some experience with detective work.
How to quantify or qualify that, though, is beyond me.

Its measured in how quickly one can accurately piece the puzzle in the shortest amount of time with the least amount of info. Bats wins out on that, Sparklad can go on the assault, but he's not stupid enough to just jump the gun into something he knows is a bad move, then again you don't need to be very smart to know that getting hit by someone like Grundy is going to hurt like hell.

Tempest25 Lol so will Ty be on the combat or detecting side of the field? I thought the teams were balanced for equal "seek and destroy" capability

Yes, that's after Match develops his attitude problem. Maybe a few arcs from now. I want it to be at least several months in-game. It has to happen before we do the crossover, though, but I think we can manage that. I'll have to talk to CKSuperman about it, since I'll be trying to kill Superman and all. XP But that won't happen til our Blackest Night arc is over at the earliest, I think. Assuming Blackest Night fills in the remainder of the interim between NML and where YJ picks up. I never read Blackest Night, I couldn't get past the rainbow rings concept, seemed a little too Captain Planet, so I'm not actually looking forward to that.

I'm trying to convince him to let me turn him into a Black Lantern. . . I mean, seeing as how he is Superman, he did die once against Doomsday. I'm really looking forward to the Blackest Night arc. Also, DrAshFjorde and I were talking and we're going to tie the Grey Lanterns into his Tricorps Ring. So it's based off of Will, Love and Hope. Grey Lanterns basically come about because they tried being in the Tricorps and failed, so they went insane. We would still like to keep your idea, Stray, about how they love something so much that they will hate and destroy anything else to protect that which they love, we're just changing up the origin stories.
