((Haro'ssocute. D: <333 ))
It felt... good like that -- snuggling up in the heat of a circulated home, with plenty of layers on, a soft couch... and Haro there, full of the brightest warmth and joy. A small laugh escaped his lips as the other breathed tickling air over his highly sensitive ears, which twitched in response to the other's actions. True to Haro's hopes and expectation, a small rumble soon began in the teen's throat -- a rumble that steadily grew in prominence. Shin was a large cat, after all, and he purred quite loudly. He leaned upwards slightly and pressed a small kiss to the other's jawline before his pink tongue poked out and licked slightly at the other's cheek. Shin was in his part animal state so, rather than a human's normal tongue, it was scratchy and rough... though he licked the other lightly so as not to be too rough on the other's sensitive skin.
((Sorry for le short on Shin. D: ))
**
"Ehh?" Liao looked up, an expression of intense surprise and dismay forming on his features. The... the bruises. He had forgotten that he wasn't wearing his scarf.... Bright flames burned on his cheeks, making his head feel hot. His eyes dropped quickly to the floor as he shifted slightly uncomfortably.
"--It's nothing," he began. But, then, Wei accused Penn. Liao didn't... like Penn or anything, but he was a good teacher and he wouldn't allow the man's reputation to be so tarnished that he would no longer be allowed to attend classes. "Nobody tried to strangle me. It's.... they're... from violin practice," he muttured, doing his best to sound level and to not look as if he were lying. He wasn't good at it, though. "I guess you might never have seen a violin player's bruises, but... since we have to rest it below out chins, and the flesh is sensitive... it bruises. Even people who have been playing violin for their entire lives who's skin has hardened there... even they get bruises from it," he said, hoping the pair would believe his explanation. While it was true that one of the bruises was from violin practice -- and it was quite obvious which one that was, as it was slightly detatched from the others in its placement just below his jawline. The other two bruises in the front, however, were situated right in the middle of his neck -- a place, and Wei would undoubtedly know it, that was commonly used when one was attempting to strangle someone.

Haro looked down at Shin with a bewildered expression, wriggling at the sudden lick. "I'm clean. I'm clean, I promise," he protested, trying to show the other that he had taken a shower already and didn't need a bath. Haro was very much aware that cats licked themselves or their babies to wash them and even though Shin was a very large cat, he was a feline all the same. Rubbing at the spot where Shin licked him, Haro eased himself back into the tiger's lap, playing with the older teen's shirt a bit before continuing, "I'm not a baby cat or anything," he mumbled, "An' I already took a shower this morning," he reiterated, unfolding his hand outward under the other's nose for him to smell the soap that still lingered there. "See?"
[[Buwahahahaaaaa.]]
Wei's expression soured. Instead of turning his anger towards whoever was the cause of the bruising, the snake decided to take it out on Liao for lying about said bruises. Setting down his plate as carefully as he could muster in such a frazzled state, Wei staked forward the few steps between the kitchen and where the boy was sitting.
"Do you think I'm stupid?" He asked in a poisonous tone, frowning down at the boy before grabbing his chin carefully and jerking the kitten's head upwards. By no means were all of those bruises from violin practice. irst of all, the instrument rested under the chin, and check, yes, there was a bruise. The instrument, however, did not press into the neck, and even if somehow it had slipped it would not have put so much pressure on the boy's neck to bruise it.
"It's obvious someone grabbed your neck," he muttered, craning his head to examine the back of the kitten's neck, finding bruises there as well. "And from the placement I would assume they tried to choke you," he added with a foul look. "Now, since I already figured it all out, all I need from you is to tell me who exactly did this."

Shin grinned and pressed another kiss to the other's cheek. "Mmm, I know that you're neither dirty nor a kitten..." he murmured with a small smile. "But sometimes when cats are happy, we just have to lick the sorce of our happiness... particularly when that sorce is warm and living and adorable," he said, grinning slightly. He licked Haro's cheek again, wanting once more to see the small boy's expression as he rubbed away the wetness. It was just too cute. "It's an expression of affection..." he added after several moments, a pleasant, peaceful expression curving up the corners of his lips in a delectibly wonderful smile. All the same, he bent his head forward slightly to sniff the other's hand -- and, true to the other's words, it was quite clean. He smiled gently at Haro and murmured, "Yes, you are very clean, Haro."
((I get the feeling that this is Shin trying to be playful. 8D;;;; ))
Liao's eyes widened and he cringed slightly as Wei came towards him. Though Wei had never... done anything to him to hurt him or.... anything... Liao couldn't help his reflexes. He visibly cringed, shifting away from the older man with an aprehensive expression bordering fear -- and expression that showed, quite clearly, that he had come to expect violent behavior and that such actions wouldn't exactly... surprise him, but that he was afraid all the same.
He winced slightly as Wei tugged his chin upwards. The bruises, though they had been caused several days* ago (and had been considerably worse then) were still rather... painful. He did his best not to meet the other's gaze -- but it was very difficult with Wei holding his chin so firmly. He could feel the pressure of the other's emerald gaze and, slowly, his raised his own gray eyes, which were wide and full of nervous fear, to meet the other's.
He could feel his gray orbs burning, could feel cristiline droplets trying to make their presence tangible. But he wouldn't cry. He couldn't. It hurt -- both mentally, emotionally, and physically -- to have mention of... of that, coupled with the grip on his chin. "I-It's nothing... really, Wei, let go that hurts...." he mumbled, wincing slightly. His voice was slightly breathly and deffinately much more full of panic than any other time the others might have heard him speak -- in fact, there was quite an overload of emotion in those quiet, plaintive words... emotion that he usual kept locked up, disguised with vehement annoyance. He had raised his own pale, slender hands up to cover his neck -- as if hiding at least the front ones from view could make the other forget their existence. "Wei, that hurts," he said again, his eyes slightly watery. But he was not -- he was not -- crying from... from emotional hurt. It was just that his neck was tender and Wei wasn't really being gentle and that hurt....
((*I know the Shin/Haro bit has skipped a week, but I don't think it would be good for Liao if he had been left at the mall for that long... so we shall ignore that minor detail.))

[[Oh Shin. XD]]
Haro squealed something incomprehensible as Shin licked him once more, "Eeee~ Shiiin!" Haro realized that not only did cats clean themselves or their babies, but more often than not, they also gave little lick-kisses-things to their mates. The bird had once been brave enough to watch a show about lions and one of them kept licking the other to show how much it liked this other one, and Lou had said that they loved eachother very much and would probably have babies and stuff.
Gulping, Haro stared up at Shin with wide eyes. Haro knew that Shin knew he was a boy, but... Why was he licking him so much if he didn't want to have babies with him??! And he couldn't have babies so none of it made sense until the older teen further explained that it was just a sign of affection. Haro relaxed, fingers twitching nervously as Shin sniffed at them. Curling his hand back into a loose fist, the boy wiggled in the tiger's lap before pressing a little kiss to the cat's lips. Lovebirds had an interesting manner of showing affection, plain snuggling and cuddling as well as kissing-- which is where they got their name.

((Haha. Poor Liao. *pets* 8D;; ))
One of Shin's hands slid slowly from its position on his waist up the boy's side to carress gently through the small teen's brightly coral hair. Before Haro had had a chance to withdraw his hand from so close to the tiger's face, he leaned forward slightly to press a small, gentle kiss on the other's knuckles, the lids almost fully hiding his eyes from sight, a scattering of dark purple eyelashes veiling the rest of his bright blue hues.
Shin smiled as he felt the smaller boy's lips press up into his own, and he nuzzled slightly into the kiss. He was acting very... cattish. The purr still resinated quite loudly from his throat. Shin was, evidently, highly content.
"Mmmm, Haro, I love you so, so much...." he murmured gently. Once hand rested gently on the boy's waist, while the other stroked gently through his hair. He leaned up slowly and returned the boy's kiss, his lips soft and subtle against the other's.

[[I thought I'd start out with Wei to ensure I replied to Liao. X3]]
"It's not nothing, now how about you tell me who did this?" It wasn't really a question, although it definitely could've been posed as one, the snake's tone was clearly commanding. Letting go of the kitten's chin, Wei scowled.
Watching the exchange with alarm, Benji placed a hand on the older man's shoulder, begging him to calm down in a hushed voice. The snake had never been any good at calming people down and it didn't help that he was angry at whoever had hurt the boy and yet he was taking it out on him. "Liao, you don't have to tell us now if you don't want to, but it's abuse if indeed someone tried to strangle you," he murmured gently, watching Wei's emotions cool and recede at his words.

"Sh-she... she didn't try to strangle me!" he insisted. He looked as if tears were about to burst from his eyes -- and whether they were from fear, pain, or anger, it was impossible to tell. His ears were laying back flat against his head, his trembling hands now balled into fists down by his sides. He didn't look as if he had even heard Benji -- his gray eyes were fixed unblinkingly upon Wei. "Don't... don't... act like you know anything about me! You don't! Just... just leave me alone!!" he said angrilly. And yet, underneath that hot, coursing rage, there was a small note of pleading in his voice. He... he didn't want to have to... think about that, or... or talk about it or....
Hot tears were streaming down his face now. He raised a hand and angrilly wiped them away with the inside of his forearm. He was trembling quite violently -- and whether it was from supressed rage, or from some other strong emotion, it was impossible to tell.
He raised a hand and rubbed angrilly at the purple bruises spotting his neck, wincing slightly as they sent shots of pain through his nerves. He didn't care, though... He wanted to rub away all that skin -- wanted the bruises to be gone, for Wei to foget... forget he had ever seen them, that they even existed. He should have just worn his scarf.

Wei growled, grabbing the boy's wrists in an attempt to get the pathetic-looking kitten from scratching at his neck to the point of hurting himself. "Stop it," he said in a surprisingly calm voice, green eyes staring down at the trembling teen fiercely. "Stop," he repeated in a lowered voice, easing his grip on the boy's hands.
[[lawl. short. D:]]
Haro laughed a little at the kiss placed upon his hand. Oh, Shin was being so cute. The little bird just couldn't take it. Wrapping both arms around the tiger's neck, Haro blinked several times at the other's words, as if he couldn't quite comprehend the meaning of them most likely due to sensory overload. It took a few moments for everything to click into place, but once it did, the lovebird started to return the phrase with an appropriate response but was cut off halfway with another kiss. Closing his bright eyes, the boy returned the kiss with a little too much fervor than he had intended.
"I love you, too," he whispered against the cat's neck.

Liao shrunk back visibly as the other grabbed his wrists. His shoulders raised towards his ears, his face angling down until his chin was nearly on his chest. The tears were still comming quickly and they were dripping down the boy's face and neck in a salty cascade of diamond droplettes. His cheeks and nose had turned red from crying, and his eyes were glistening and watery. He looked unusually good in tears -- almost to the point where others might just intentionally make him cry to watch the pretty little droplettes turn his face all pink and glisteny.
His breathing was shallow and his chest tight, like he couldn't even get a proper breath in. His throat felt... tight. "W-Wei... let go, let go please!" he said, a deffinate note of pleading in his voice now. He was becoming increasingly agitated, increasingly desperate. He... he didn't want Wei to know. Nobody knew. Not... not even Penn or any of the others or the people who were supposed to be his friends because it looked good. None of them knew about it. His father didn't know, either, or at least Liao didn't think so... He hardly ever saw the man, anyway, and he wasn't Liao's real father so it... it didn't mean anything.....
Head bowed and shoulders hunched, Liao seemed to... fall slightly. The physical movement made the emotional transition all the more evident -- his shoulders dropped down and his head seemed to hang lower than it had before. "W-Wei... please... you... don't know what your getting into...." he mumbled slowly, his voice, like the rest of him, downcast. He seemed much... calmer -- but more as if he were falling into depression than if he had reached any sort of real peace.
((Anggggggggst. :B ))
**
He always felt so, so happy when he heard those words comming from the other's mouth. So... so happy.... A wide smile spread across his lips, a light flush filling in the empty hues of his extraordinarilly pale skin. His hand, which had been slowly stroking through the other's brightly multi-colored hair, ran a line down from the back of Haro's head down to his waist, where it joined his other hand. He leaned forward slightly and licked the other's lips lightly, his tongue rougher than what Haro was likely accustomed to. But if the boy didn't like it, Shin knew he would tell him... or at least, he hoped so. If not, he thought he'd be able to tell by the boy's expression and movements. In that sort of situation, Shin could at least somewhat tell them well.

Letting go of the boy's arms, Wei encircled his arms around the small teen's waist, pinning his arms against his chest. Wei probably would've smugly mused to himself how effectively he was calming the kid down and keeping him from scratching his neck open all in one motion had he not been so utterly stunned that he was even trying to calm Liao down enough to think straight. "I know what I'm doing, Kitten," he said slowly in a soft tone. Hell, he had no clue what the ******** he was doing. Well, besides the obvious that he was standing there hugging or holding onto the boy in a surprisingly non awkward fashion, considering how he rarely hugged anyone in a sincere manner.
[[lawl. Oh man, Wei is killing me with his OOCness.]]
"Ah-" Haro made a surprised noise, not only at the texture of Shin's tongue but the very fact that the tiger was licking hips lips. It was one thing to lick someone's cheek if they were your baby kitten or something but it was an entirely different thing to lick someone on the lips because that meant...Well, Haro wasn't sure what it meant but it had to be something sketchy. Racy. Sexua-- If Haro had been able to he would've smacked himself in the head for such a thought. He had them from time to time and it was just so embarrassing.
He tried to think of something else and what he came up with was that Shin's tongue tasted...well, it felt really...different from his own. He figured his was sort of normal because Wei's had... it felt the same way but Shin's was much more rough and...suited for cleaning babies and the like. This wasn't the first time the tiger had assaulted his lips with his tongue, but it was the first in a long while so it had truly startled the little bird. Curiosity winning over discomfort, the boy leaned closer towards the cat a bit, hoping he didn't taste too much like his species lest Shin would want to eat him, Haro gingerly kissed the other, fingers curled up against the older teen's chest.

He didn't know... how it happened... but suddenly Wei had folded his arms around Liao's small frame, the older male's armspan easily encompassing the smaller boy's tiny features. His forehead was being pressed into the other's chest and he had to straighten his neck slightly, raise his head, in order to fit more comfortably. He sniffled slightly into the other's shirt, but otherwise was silent. Even his tears were silent. His chest had stopped heaving and he seemed to be getting in at least... somewhat normal breaths. His tears seemed to be slowing, too, although they were still getting the other's shirt (and himself) quite wet. He was still trembling, though, although the tremours had become decidedly less violent. His delicate, pale hands gripped the other's shirt softly and he took a deep, shaky breath.
"I-I... told you... she didn't try to... strangle me.... and I w-wasn't lying...." he mumbled slowly, his voice hesitant. He kept stumbling over his words, but it was better than nothing. We was... he was going to tell Wei... he... didn't know why he was, but... but he was. He felt... all strange inside. His throat still felt slightly... blocked. But he was working past that.... "M-my... my.... she was trying to... drown me..... She knows I... hate water.... I-she.... it was...." He hadn't been able to say it before. He had skipped over. Another deep, shaky breath punctuated his haltering words. "Wei... Wei promise you won't... won't get mad, but... it was my... my mother...." he said slowly, his words growing steadily less audible. He squeezed his eyes shut, shoulders tensing slightly for the moment when Wei would... would start yelling or... or something....
((Liao: Mooommy~. <333 [why are there hearts here?!?] Wei: ;^; <333333 *snugglehug*
xD;;;;; ))
He hadn't... surprised Haro too much. Good. He had felt when the boy tensed slightly -- the small moment of shock before he got over the sand-papery feel of a cat's tongue. He was purring quite loudly. He knew it wasn't the... best idea to try and kiss Haro any more with such a... rough tongue, but... he also knew that the boy... liked his ears and his tail and the sound-vibration of his purring. With the pros and cons weighed, he didn't quite know... what to do. Well... if Haro complained too much, he supposed he would just... change back into his usual human self.
He raised a hand to carress the other's face softly, at the same time pulling the boy slightly closer with the hand that was on his waist.

[[Aw, I think Shin is cute. whee I think I'm in the same boat with Haro and am all like, "EEEE. >W< <3" over Shin because he's just too dang adorable. crying heart Oh, and Wei=OOC to the max. He really should be trying to make a move on the poor kitten, but that would be so very wrong so he'll stay OOC for a while.]]
His... mother? Wei knew all too well the feeling of being scorned by one's own flesh and blood, particularly his mom, the only relative he had ever had the pleasure of meeting in his family. His father had left before he had ever been born, or so he surmised, and no one else came to help when that happened... Wei wasn't even sure if he had other relatives, for all he knew they were all dead. The only thing he could be sure about his mother and her extended family was that they were all human. His father, and then himself, the exception. Green eyes fell as the snake brushed bright orange hair from wet eyes. He never had a good feeling in his stomach when he came across a snot-nosed, runny-eyed little kid. Haro had ruined the image for him. He had cried so ******** much. He didn't hold him enough. He held him too much. Stop touching me. Please...love me. All the while he had cried, cried, cried and it drove him insane.
"You're okay, no one's going to try and... do anything okay? You're safe," he murmured, wondering how in hell he had spouted such sappy words.
"Mom!"
Brilliantly bright green eyes sought out dull ones. Wiry hands lay folded in one another as a young woman kept her eyes low, uninviting to her son who looked so much like herself--features she had come to hate for they bore too much resemblance to the monster she had made. Little green eyes and dark, black hair, along with her dark skin made it obvious that the two were related, but oh how the woman wished she could tear her eyes out, rip out her hair, and claw away her dark features.
"Mom, I picked this for you," a little boy murmured in a hopeful tone, holding out a little white daisy to her. She didn't move, kept her hands where they were, her eyes away from the boy's, ignoring him completely.
"I...--" Green eyes fell as Wei brought the flower back down to his side.
----- - - - -
Golden eyes softened as the boy leaned forward to whisper, 'I love yous,' against the cat's ear. Fingers painting pictures against the tiger's chest, Haro grinned as he drew a little stick figure person, murmuring that this was him and, then another figured, that was Shin. He added a tail and cat ears to the second figured before drawing a little heart with his fingertip. Looking up with a coy expression, Haro started slowly, "Shin...w-would you like...would you like to go do something today, just you and me?" He asked, flushing as he waited anxiously for an answer. Sparrow had said to just go ahead and ask people things instead of leaving things unsaid to be made into guesswork later on... "I mean, we...we don't have to 'cause it's sort of cold out and ...I just was wondering," he murmured softly.

((I suppose, given the conditions, Liao is sort of... being... true. I mean, I think anyone would cry just thinking about something like that. But he doesn't cry much and he hates having to rely on others. Stupid little stubborn, independant child. D< <333 ))
Liao nodded slowly to the other. He had never... really heard those kinds of words -- he had never heard them from family, and he didn't watch TV or movies or anything. And so he didn't know that these were the revulting "mushy-gushy words" that Wei and so many others hated. Penn never said them, either, really. Then again, Penn didn't really give s**t about him -- Liao was really just a tool to get out of an unchoice bethrothal, or so the boy presumed. Comfort was not a feeling the boy was at all used to. His ears were still laid back against his brightly colored orange hair, blending perfectly there. His tail was curled around one of his own pale, slender (and clothed) legs. In short, he was still looking quite shaky and insecure.
The tears had stopped, though. True, his eyes were all watery and red, and his cheeks were quite damp, but no new tears were flowing. Had he been one to cry easily, they likely would have lasted longer, but Liao hated crying and seldom did it -- particularly when with others. It was just... too embarrassing. His nose and cheeks were a brightly flushed red, now, from the glow of glassy tears. "Wei... I'm... alright now... you can... let go, if you want...." he mumbled. Liao looked... incredibly embarrassed. He was still quite shaky from the thoughts of his mother and -- and that.... But he couldn't help how wrong it felt to just... let himself be taken care of. It felt weird.
**
Shin's brightly blue gaze trailed down to follow the other's painting finger, doing his best to follow the image (although the commentary was quite helpful, he had to admit, as it was rather hard for him to read invisible stick figures up-side-down). A small grin filtered onto his lips and, once the other had finished, he leaned forward and pressed a small kiss to the other's lips. "Sounds wonderful. Is there anything in particular you would like to do? Or anywhere you'd like to go?" he asked.
He really did like being close to Haro. There were just so many... wonderful things about him -- not just the way he could all of a sudden make Shin happy, or his brightness.... Shin took in a deep breath in, eyes closing for a moment befor ehe exhaled and they once more opened. Haro always... smelled nice. Sort of like flowers. It was... very pleasant.

[[Well, I mean...Wei isn't entirely unsympathetic, he went through a shitty situation with his mom so he understands. He's rarely ever comforting though. X3 He made Haro cry a lot due to the obvious reasons and then by saying completely insincere things all the time. xwx;]]
Haro had obviously not been expecting such an easy answer from the tiger. He had honestly been expecting the tiger to say no due to a multitude of reasons. One, it was rather cold out and Haro didn't think Shin drove very often or even had the means to do so; two, Sparrow wasn't exactly a trusted room mate and it surprised the little bird that Shin would so easily leave him in the house alone (not to mention the dark bird was sick in the head), and thirdly...well, there had to be another reason only Shin would understand. He hadn't really thought of what to do since he had been expecting a rejection.
"Ah-" Murmuring, the lovebird shrugged a bit, "I don't care very much what we do I just wanted to...to do it with you, that's all," he said before continuing, "Maybe we could get lunch somewhere and...thenvisityourmom," he said quickly. He knew that Shin got all sad when he mentioned his mom or the idea of parents came up, but...but if Shin really did have a mom then he should really visit her...especially since she was sick.
[[Oh Haro, you ruined it.]]
Wei let go of the boy for the most part, loosening his grip until he was merely making sure the boy was stable enough to stand on his own. At the moment he didn't appear to be, but that just could be a trick of light and the fact that the kitten's face was half soaked in tears. To put it lightly, he looked more than utterly pathetic. Ruffling the boy's hair along with his brightly colored ears, the snake kept his other hand around the boy's arm in an attempt to keep him upright. "Are you sure you're okay?"

While it was true that Sparrow wasn't the most... trusted house guest, and that Shin wasn't really fond of driving (particularly in such slick conditions), he was so... overly relieved that they were -- that everything was -- fine that he simply couldn't say no. Besides which, he really... did want to go somewhere with Haro. And so his impulse had decided for him without much thought beforehand -- but now that he had spoken, he wouldn't take it back both for fear of hurting Haro and for the simple fact that he wanted to go.
He nodded slowly to the idea of lunch. However, when the teen mentioned his mother, a quite complicated expression formed on his face. He... obviously truly desired to see her, but he was also... held back by his family promise. He wasn't quite sure... why they had made him promise -- truthfully, he didn't want to think too much on it as it was more likely to be bad than not. And so he let his mind slip over that odd promise without question.
"We can... try to see her. I'm not... sure if they'll let visitors in, though, even if it's me..." he murmured slowly, keeping his expression more on the thoughtful side rather than the more depressed feelings he had shown before. He didn't want... Haro to get sad... or... worry or anything.

Liao nodded and raised an arm to wipe away what was left of his tears off from his face. He hated that wet feeling... the sticky, salty slime of glistening tears was just so... so... so disgusting and embarrassing and he didn't know why he had had to be all stupid and go and cry, but.... he did feel a bit better. He would at least admit that, as he knew (at least from a scientific standpoint) that it was not good for one to allow his emotions to bottle up all tightly wound, lest they explode.
"Nnnn... thanks, Wei..." he murmured slightly, turning his head a bit away from the other so he wouldn't have to meet those bright green eyes with his own downcast gray ones. He was obviously feeling quite overly self-conscious for having... vented so much, for having yelled, and for crying.
