WTF moment: RP with mostly sane players, but the DM's character was this crazy girl with a gun and some kind of made-up "emotional problem."
She shot things.
Constantly.
After which she would apologize, "I have anger management." (Whatever that means.)
No explanation of why or how she managed to sneak a gun into a school, why she wasn't institutionalized, or why she hadn't killed herself or someone else by way of ricochet/stray bullet. She shot locks. She shot walls. She shot windows. She shot everything but people.
gonk I've been doing a lot of research on gun safety in preparation for drawing a comic and it made me want to cry. I left the RP and it has since hit 200+ pages...
Then I sent a profile to another RP and was "accepted," but my profile didn't go up. I made my intro post. Two days later nobody had posted... even though everyone had been online multiple times. DM reportedly had the "stomach flu," which had failed to keep her from working on about a million other RP threads (her post history was literally nothing but tons and tons of other RP threads she'd made and subsequently abandoned). SERIAL RP KILLER. WHAT.

Phaeton Definitely. Hell, I want to Kill Sakura. Yeah so tactically an politically this is... complicated. As it stands the two of us fighting is a bit of a gun draw. She goes first she very well could win. I go first she dies hands down she dies. As the rules stand I got a one shot win button. If the fight gets scrappy the odds are still in my favor but it's likely to come down to the first draw sorta of deal. I don't want to Then there is the instant repercussions in group and etc. etc. I think I could take the wookie in a straight fight as well but... I'd really rather it not come down to yet another gun duel at high noon. The rest of the party I'm pretty confident that I can almost take en mass. My only other concern is the other nade tossing merc. Then again I can only stop so many errant crits. Namely only one, if I get lucky. Which means otherwise I might survive A round or two if I didn't get clever quick. So with out going into too much detail, things are super tense and I need to wait for an opportunity.

Phaeton Definitely. Hell, I want to Kill Sakura. I also hate Sakura as a person. But that's aside from the point. I feel that I generally do a good job dissociating emotion from any judgement calls in games. Easier to emotionally distance your self fictionally and make a level headed call.

I could not do a RP like that. Sorry just not something that I'm use to. But the way she described her character she did that one cliched thing I hate. Gave her a scar that made her look more beautiful vs. disfiguring. The hunting beauty that every NPC has to stare at but you get the feeling that she wants your character to do the same. And if you don't she'll find a way to draw attention to herself.

The character role play wise is... Mentally and physically scarred. The Miraluka racially are blind but they see through the force... Yeah... I thought it was kinda gaytarded...

I just posted in the thread again actually, but I did put some amount of effort into the post. I'm wondering what people think. I like it. I think it has good pacing. I could of done more to describe Talyn but that seemed like a bad idea to paint the picture in too much detail as the focus of the story right now is the party. Which I'm ok with. So I think animating his speech pattern, his emotions right now was more critical to making it easier for people to relate to him as a character.
However I don't know if this was achieved. I feel very needlessly arrogant with how I'm trying to explain myself artistically though ._.

I just never fully got into the D&D way of things.
I wasn't speaking of the race. That isn't the first time we've ever had to deal with the blind person who's other senses has more than made up for it. It makes me want to watch Zatoichi again (not the one with the blind swordswoman, the originals).
Anyhow why do you hate her as a person as well?

It's a whole race that emerged during knights the old republic two.
I think it's just as goofy.
I hate Sakura for a lot of reasons. I'd rather not get into them as it's about 6 months of sniping RP. Lots of bull s**t passive aggressive ********. There is also the obvious, Sakura does the same stuff that ******** people off that he just did. All the time.
Then there is the awkward always playing female characters.

Lady Bern That a whole race has the force? So it would be ultra rare to find one without it. Yes, a genuinely blind miraluka would be very very strange. *Edit* But awesome. I also want to go watch the blind samurai shenanigans.
