"Like I said. I can erase all of his memories of Yoru. He would only believe him to be a sort of sex toy of yours and he would be okay with that because he is well aware and respectful of demon traditions no matter how rude or stubborn he may act. In the end it is your decision. The only thing is that if you choose to do this then you will have to take good care of Yoru and keep him away from anyone else. Think of it as sort of having a pet wolf. Beautiful and exotic, but it cannot be left to be around people as if it were an normal dog."

"If you don't want Yoru to get out of hand you will have to be very strict and command absolutely all control. You cannot let him believe for a second that he is anything other that your slave. If he gets even the smallest chance to take some actions of his own free will then he will take advantage of that. With Mao all you have to let him know is that you are the one who's in charge and that he needs to respect your decisions."

"No. Once we kill him he is gone. Shadows are creatures that are born out of dark, negative energy and so they have no true life of their own. They are not creatures that were purposely created."

"No. He will be executed as is our custom and I cannot do anything else. Make your choice and stop trying to find ways around it. You need to take charge. Forget about this whole concept of cheating because it's not cheating if your partner is okay with it. The only way a demon cheats is if he or she has multiple partners and none are under contract. in your case they both wear the collar so they're both legally yours."

She smiled and shook her head. "So in the end you can't help but want that monster gone? It's for the best really. I will arrange to have it executed and I will make sure you and my grandson wake up in the morning remembering nothing of the past seven years. Does that sound fair?"

She got to work right away arranging everything. Mao was taken away to get his memories erased. Soon after there were two large demons that came for Yoru. The body they thought was worthless and so they would find Mao a new body. They waited for Nathan to go back home so they could erase his memories as well. While Mao was taken back to him and everything was being prepared Yoru struggled, now bound in chains and in a cage. He felt weak and he couldn't really fight. He had no idea that this was all Nathan's decision so he tried desperately to communicate with him. Nathan had promised he wouldn't let anything happen to him. Yoru believed in that promise and as his life was coming to an end he felt a few warm tears slide down his cheeks. His heart felt like it was being crushed and then after a few minutes of suffering it stopped blood ran from his mouth down to his chin and dripped little by little onto the floor. He never knew he was killed because Nathan had decided for his fate to be that way. He never knew that the others had lied to his love just to get Mao back in Nathan's life.

When Mao opened his eyes, he remembered nothing of his rage towards Nathan. He did however remember Yoru well. As he found Nathan resting next to him he felt relieved. Everything had gone according to his plans. In the end that was simply the nature of a demon. He feared losing Nathan to his own brother so he had the other killed.

"Hey. You look well rested. I was worried last night." Mao gave him a reassuring smile as he stood and stretched. "You alright now?"

Seeing the look on Nathan's face worried him. Had his memories not been erased properly? He shook the thought out of his head immediately. "Of course. Just give me a few minutes okay?" Mao then took a change of clothes and went to the bathroom to take a shower.
