A message from the Watchtower briefly interrupted the current crisis inside Xavier's War Room, "Jinx to Oracle, would you let Cyclops know that if he needs me to -- I can get myself over to I.O. to get 'boots-on-the-ground intel over there. I can either do that, or use the teleporter to get to where you guys are getting ready."
Oracle turned her head toward the screen, a quick thought flashing in her mind, That's odd. I would have sworn that Bruce would be taking a more 'hands on' approach to this mission barking out marching orders by now. And now, he sending Jinx to co-ordinate with us? He's only sending Jinx. Bruce is up to something. I'll have to message Richard in a bit. "Wait one, I'll let you talk to the man himself, and he'll give you your marching orders."

Garfield looked back to Conner and Rogue who entered the room. At the same time Kurt bamfed in with the two flash girls from the parking garage. Garfield looked to Scott seeing as he was given primary command of the mission.
Scott noticed the new entries and looked to the group feeling confident in what he was about to say. In what he was thinking about what to do for this mission.
"I wanted us to practice before the mission but the lives of these teens are hanging into balance and we can't risk going there fully prepared while losing them at the same time. I think we should go ahead and go strait to the base once I get an idea of our team and give you all assignments."
He looked back to the computer screen and nodded to Oracle.
"Jinx, I need you here. I need you here at the institute."
Then he turned back to the group looking to the two speedsters.
"If you're up for it, it might be a tough mission but I could use girls as fast as you. Although I won't force you if you're not ready. Kurt, I need you to help us get to the kids and teleport them out to Nightshade who will have a portal placed in a location just on the other side of the bases perimeter. Everyone else, will bring the kids to this location and leave through this location. We are going to get in and get out. Do not fight anyone or anything unless it is necessary and I hope you all understand what that means. If you get hurt during battle and will hinder saving the teens or risk getting captured in anyway I ask that you fall back."
He paused a moment and then continued.
"I need volunteers for certain tasks. I need defense, offense and collection team. Collectors are those who can get the teens safely from the base to the entry point while Offense and Defense back them up from IO forces as well as make a path. I suspect they won't let us walk out with the teens seeing how they aren't letting the teens walk themselves out."
"I will help in collecting the teens. My powers allow me to shape shift into animals that can carry others and maneuver quickly."
He injected while carefully and intently listening to Scott.
"I vill help vith the teleporting the teens. Count me in as a collector as vell."
Kurt turned off his watch at this point which was hiding his true form. He was in costume ready to fight as Nightcrawler and was ready to help. He put his hands on the two flashgirl's shoulders and spoke to them.
"I don't zhink you are ready... Vould you like to give it a shot?"
He said quietly addressing them personally so as not to distract the other members in the room.

"Alright Jinx, I've already uploaded the coordinates for the Institute. Get over here, we're needing to act now," Babs relayed to the heroine wearing her costume -- who replied in 'Babs' own voice, "Yes Ma'am. I'm on my way." Barbara Gordon blinks in surprise, What the... Ooooooooooookay, that's just creepy...
Nightshade walked up to Cyclops and spoke softly, "I assume you want me for the collection team. So if you don't mind, I'll go ahead to the infirmary to grab as many supplies as I can fit in my Gladstone. There's no telling what kind of condition those kids are in."
As the dark vigilante turned to leave for the infirmary, Songbird spoke up from a few feet away, "I can do either offense or defense, but from what I'm guessing -- I'm probably the only one here to be able to project force fields with my sound constructs. I can also be very mobile flying around and taking shots of opportunities to knock opponents in our way."
"Cyke, Ah think you know meh well enough and with 'Kansas' here -- Ah think we'd both beh good on offense. And quite frankly... Ah'm lookin to crack a few I.O. skulls on dis," Rogue cracked her knuckles to emphasize her point.
Oracle turned her redhead around at the Southern mutant, "Don't go half-cocked off at these guys, Rogue. I.O. is well trained as they are ruthless."
Rogue smiled and nodded, "Don'cha worry yourself none, Sug. Ah keep dat in mind. Ah just won't be worried about dishin it on against des.... gentlemen." Marie spat her last word as an insult.
[Enter Jinx from JLA Watchtower]
'Batgirl' appeared inside underground facility she'd seen earlier and quickly set to the task of finding Cyclops. Striding down the hallway, Jinx heard the voices coming from the X-men War Room. Entering the room Jinx disguised as Batgirl strode up to the mutant introduced to her earlier as Cyclops, and spoke in Babs' voice, "Reporting in as ordered, Cyclops. What do you need me to do?"
Barbara's face twitched, as she fully turned around to face her impersonator, "Jinx.... Will you please stop that? It's really starting to creep me out."

Kesshou spoke up once everyone else was done. "I'm more useful for offense." She made a bit of electricity arch around her hand. She smiled wide. "We'll get these kids if we do this right."
The signal from Crystal shut off completely rather than just being silent as it had been for quite a while.

{Time Skip; the X-Men and Titans at the underground faculty would have trained for the I.O. strike to counter their Black Talons and rescue the prisoners being experimented on. Currently all the heroes here would be having a continental breakfast with either scrambled eggs or omelets with ham, peppers, and onions, waffles or pancakes, hash browns, sausage links, and regular or French toast with tea, coffee or orange juice. Oracle is now walking around due to the Blue Lantern's healing aura, a bit unsteadily though. This is the main staging area of the strike vs I.O.}

Oliver Queen, The Green Arrow.
The day of reckoning has arrived. Didn't seem much more than a day or two ago that Oliver Queen was watching over the streets of his hometown of Star City. But as a member of the JLA, he was always on call in case something big like their current operation was about to be underway. To his surprise, when he contacted Batman, he was told he wasn't calling the shots. A man named Scott Summers, also known as Cyclops, was directing things.
"Well, that makes me feel uneasy. Still, if Batman trusts him, I'll back him."
Ollie said to himself. After all, Batman wasn't very trusting of others, not even the Justice League. So if he decides to let another person give orders, then that's good enough for him.
After a quick breakfast, Oliver went to work with making preparations. Sharpening his arrowheads, deciding which trick arrows were going to be needed for the mission, and going over his role. Oliver, being one of the best archers in both universes, opted for defense. Stay in the back, pick off anyone that tries to get the teens or the other heroes. So he chose an ecletic array of arrows that disable, stun, or outright kill his targets. Glue Arrows, Net Arrows, Standard and Explosive Arrows, Cryonic Arrows, even (reluctantly) a few Boxing Glove Arrows: outdated relics that might prove to be useful later on.
He is likely not the only one preparing.
(Skuld said this was the main staging area, so I'm going have Ollie here until told otherwise.)

Kesshou was already 'dressed' in her battle armor. She walked through the halls, checking on everyone. She had little to prepare, seeming her powers were enough of a weapon for her. She was mainly looking for Beast Boy but she thought she'd make sure everyone was ready for the mission.

 Oracle slowly made her way to where Oliver Queen was preparing his arsenal for the coming battle using a cane. Babs now had the full ability to walk from the Blue Lantern's healing of her spine; however, the redhead needed to retrain her legs to support her weight and maintain her sense of balance. When Miss Gordon finally caught sight of the green archer, she unsteadily made her way toward him, "I see you're almost ready to this operation. I know we haven't formally met, but I'm Oracle. It's good to meet you. I know D... errr.. Black Canary spoke well of you."Suddenly, Babs wobbled on her cane, but barely kept her balance, "Ummm... I'm still trying to reteach myself to walk again...," the redhead began to blush slightly.

Oliver Queen, The Green Arrow.
Grinding whetstone to an arrowhead to keep it sharp, Ollie was a bit preoccupied until the woman codenamed Oracle came to greet him. Turning around, setting the arrow aside, he smirked as she introduced herself. He noticed she was walking with a cane, and as much as Black Canary told him, he knew she was supposed to be wheelchair bound. He figured someone managed to repair her spine enough to allow her to walk, albeit with a crutch.
"Nice to meet you too," he responded, making a motion to try to catch in case she fell, only for her to regain her balance, but barely. Straightening up, Ollie retrieved the arrow he set aside and returned it to his quiver before he continue, "Something about this operation still confounds me: why isn't Batman leading it? I know Spooky doesn't trust many people, so what is it about this Scott guy that made Batman defer command to him?"

Babs blushed a little more furiously, as Oliver made the swooping move to save her in case she fell, "Yeah... Really needing practice to walk. But... Yeah, I've been wondering the exact same thing. I think Batman is actually .... Maybe he sees something that he wants to address himself and isn't telling us. The only two things that I can think of from what I've perused through I.O.'s files that may be holding Batman's attention would be either cloned human/tamarian hybrids or the mysterious cryocoffin of alien origin. I.O. doesn't even know what's inside that thing, but whatever it is... a alien race in this side of the universe called the Sh'iar went out of their way to try to destroy it." In the middle of her explanation, Babs carefully sat down to ease the strain on her sense of balance, "And.. thanks for being ready to catch me just now."

Kesshou found Babs and the new guy and smiled, walking into the room. "Are you alright, Oracle?"
She looked at the man clad in green and smiled softly, performing a proper curtsy, her large wings unfurling fully as she did. "Hello." As she stood back up her wings folded back around herself. this must of been a sight from the feral looking tiger girl. Her bright blue eyes never left the male as she moved though.

While many people were preparing there were still those who were eathing. Garfield was sure of the people he was working with and now fully trusted most of their abilities. At least, the most that he could trust them for the short time they trained. He picked up some juice and toast trying to avoiding eating anything meat. He was still picky in that regard despite their position. He sat down next to the flash twins. They had quite a bit of food and were eating many omelets and plates of bacon.
"I wish you two were older, we could really use those speed powers of yours. But I guess someone needs to protect this place too right?"
He pat the youngest girl's head.
Kurt sat next to Scott at the table eating after making a short quiet prayer for the breakfast he was going to be eating and hoping that they could get the captives back there safely.
Scott ate quietly for the most part and was content with the assigning he had given the members after the practice that they have done. Scott was all ready to go other than having a quick breakfast he was prepared to attack IO.

"Sounds like Bats to me. Keeping something to himself until he feels it is the right time to reveal it to his comrades. Makes me wonder how his mind works," Ollie answered. Hearing what Oracle said about prerusing through I.O.'s files and a race called the Sh'iar, Ollie gave his own opinion, "I'm going to guess it's the cryocoffin that's keeping Batman preoccupied. Then again, you never really know with him."
His attention was diverted by another person walking in. Though he would guess she looked like a cosplay kind of girl, after she gave him a curtsy and said hi to him, Ollie returned the favor, "Hello to you too. Name's Green Arrow, of the Justice League of America. You are?"

"My name is Kesshou Higashi of the X-Men." She smiled at Green Arrow. Her sharp teeth glinted in the light. "I thought I recognized you. Although I never really got that into the Justice League." She spoke as if she were meeting an actor of a show or something of that nature and it was as if this kind of meeting was a regular thing for her.
Her tummy then made a loud growl and she sighed. She had been avoiding eating too much for the past day, not wanting to become overly tired due to a full stomach, though this left her eating much more often.

(Sorry I haven't posted in a few days everyone. I'd been reeeeeal busy with tests) Oracle raised an eyebrow at Kesshou and querried, "Didn't you get enough to eat? Don't want you drop in the middle of the mission, Babs then redirected her gaze toward Oliver, "And I'm really glad you're here. I'm sure Cyclops would appreciate your experience. The X-Men do seem to have a top-notch facility, especially their training room. ...And a development from last night, four kids escaped I.O. and are holding up in a cave near the mesa. The X-Man Gambit called me just a little bit ago. Someone else was with me, when the message came in. And since she's a bit more mobile, she should be talking to Scott any moment about this new development.".............................. Songbird slid herself into a seat close to Cyclops with a plate of pancakes, eggs and sausage, "So, do you think we're ready for this scrap? .... Or at least as ready as we can be. I did look over the files. You remember those hunter robots with the sonic cannons? I can counter their blasts now that I know the frequency they operate on. Also, I'm like the only of the few who can make a shield using my hard sound constructs. Oh.... Oracle got a message from Gambit. He's made contact with the kids who managed to blast their way out of that base--they're holed up in a cave at the moment. I.O. hasn't found them yet."Rogue sat beside Superboy with a smile on her face looking at the guy she's crushing on, "Hey Kansas, how'd ya sleep last night. No problems with bedbugs, right?"Dr. Desmond Powell approached where Nightcrawler was, wearing his dark costume and trenchcoat but having his hat and mask off. The black doctor sat near Kurt, "Hmmm... You know, I believe this world would be a lot better, if people would pray more often-- don't you think?"
