"Hey guys!" Lindsye said a little out of breath when she finally found Jacen and Jamie.
"I think a road trip would be a blast! But I figure we should bring Jamie with us." She grinned widely until she looked at their faces.
"What's the matter?"
"Phenix, she's back." Jamie said.
"You're kidding!"
"Nope, the kid just appeared on the lawn in tears."
"Oh... dear." Lindsey put her hand to her mouth. "Sounds like something really terrible happened."

OOC: Assume away, madam. And Lynn, just to let you know, I'm not on ALL the time anymore, so yea, if you have to pick up the ball and run with it, do so.
IC: Jacen listened intently as Phenix relayed her story to him. All those fanciful visions of fighting, war, and bloodshed were making him restless, but he did well enough to keep himself in check. Unfortunately for Jacen, he was starting to get a glorified view of this Limbo. While he was starting to lose his train of thought again, he heard Phenix finish up her story and sigh heavily out of resignation.
"Phenix," Jacen said while standing up, prepping to head off somewhere himself, "I'm damn near positive there's something you can do to get back there. There's a loophole in damn near everything." He turned back slightly as he made his way to the nearest doorway, "And if you do find a way back, I'd like to see this place with my own eyes."
As he left, he heard Jamie come into the room before everyone took off from the main foyer. It seemed that everyone, per usual, had their own motivations or agendas for the day, and Jacen was no exception. He thought of the deal he made with Kitty just a scant thirty minutes ago and made his way to the kitchen. When he got there, he noticed there was absolutely no one there, which was odd. Usually there were at least two people filtering in and out, grabbing assorted foods or beverages.
"Hm...," Jacen said to himself as he peered into the fridge. He pondered on what to make. He was starving as it was, and he did promise Kitty he'd at least make her a steak. But why only her? "You know what? ******** it," Jacen said to himself as he pulled out five double-packs of steak and braced them on his bad arm despite the pain. As he set the meat on the counter, he tried to think of how many people there were and how many people would be clamoring for a steak dinner. Almost instinctively, he went back into the fridge and pulled out a couple more packs, just to be safe.
And so it began. Jacen, broken arm and all, started to prep up a small marinade with some spices to add flavor. It was almost automatic for him to do this. He had cooked alot for himself when he lived on the streets, and when he stayed with the Morlocks, he fixed a majority of their meals. Without a thought, Jacen cut four of the rather beefy steaks in half for some of the younger or tinier members of their group. He didn't know if they'd be able to eat all of the steak provided. This would have been a tedious process for Jacen, except he was singing quietly to himself, actually having a good moment of levity. The only problem with the situation was that he could barely use his right arm.
After he let the steaks sit in the marinade for a minute, Jacen ducked into one of the narrow pantries and pulled out a bag of potatoes. "These will work perfectly," Jacen said to himself as he sat down at the table after grabbing a roll of foil, and started to prep the second part of the meal. Still humming away to himself, Jacen didn't notice Phenix standing in the kitchen's doorway.
"What's this?", she asked.
"Well, I told Kitty that if she showed that new student to her room, I'd make her one of my infamous steak dinners," Jacen said while finishing wrapping up a potato, "I just figured that since we've all had a rough day today, we all deserve a good homecooked meal." Again, he repeated the process of wrapping potatoes up before he spoke up one more time.
"Anyways," he asked absently, keeping his attentions on the task of trying to wrap a potato in foil one-handed, "What's on your mind, Phenix?"

Jamie grinned breifly when Lindsey suggested that he come along on their road trip. That was just the kind of thing he wanted to do. He then composed himself again, realizing that it would be somewhat rude when Phenix was so clearly upset. He didn't know what it was, but he hadn't known her very long when he had been at the mansion, so he thought he should let some other people cheer her up.
In the mean time, maybe I'll go do something. . . He thought to himself, and went straight to the danger room and found some weights with which he could actually get himself tired.

ATTENTION!! EVERYONE READ!!!
Hey everyone I've been... We've got to other "guilds" in here that are dead, and I'd like to get the two of them up again. problem is, I don't have any ideas, or plots to fit into them. So everyone check the two threads out and please, come up with something. Then everyone can role play in all three threads. And those of us who are gold hungry would be able to rack up some easily if all three are up. twisted So please help me out.

OOC: I think we should just reboot those threads personally. I'll likely add to them again if so... I just have no idea what's going on in both of the other two at the moment.
As for here... Pietro returns tomorrow... I'm just tired at the moment... and the Venture Brothers is on...

I meant, that I'm fine with RPing in Days of Future Past any time, but I'm not sure about Exiles yet. I could go ahead and rp there, but I'd prefer to wait til it gets slightly more structured, but that doesn't mean I couldn't go ahead and do that too.

OOC: I don't think I will have time for another guild. I'd love to go tback to DOFP, but its not realistic for me at th emoment. (See the getting to know you thread as to what I'm talking about)
Lynz & Jamie, I think there's confusion as to where everybody is at the moment. smile Why don't you and Jamie just reconvene in the kitchen. Better, yet, I'll put you there and if that's not cool, then feel free to bean me in the head smile
weirdwing If you are an X-Men, just write yourself coming up to the Institute. We're all there and somebody will let you in.
IC:
"I didn't know you made a famous steak dinner," She said with a wry smile. She was trying so hard to have some kind of humor.
"Well, I do. Did you talk to Xavier?" Jacen asked as Phenix sat down at one of the bar stools at the island in the kitchen.
Lynzie and Jamie came in as Phenix started talking. Taking a seat next to her, Lynzie put a hand on her shoulder to let Phenix know that she knew what was going on and she was there.
Phenix nodded her head, "Yea, and he claims that unless I can find another teleporter that goes to Limbo, I haven't a shot in hell at getting back there. If he's right, its going to drive me mad."
Jacen shook his head in disagreement.
"That's what I think too. Too much weird s**t goes on for that to be the only answer. I know where the door is on our lawn, I just don't know how to open it."
She looked at Lynzie and Jamie and then back at Jacen, "So how do we all get one of these famous dinners. I don't think I ever got one when I arrived last year."

"Well," Jacen said as he finished wrapping the potatoes up, "Seeing as you three are already here before anyone else, it seems you're entitled to one of these."
He got up carefully, balancing the dished-up potatoes on his good arm while walking towards the oven. He had nearly lost a bunch of the grub to the floor, but he was lucky to have some words of warning. Jacen didn't waste too much time putting the taters in the oven. He knew it'd take a bit for them to cook, and what better time than now to start the other portion of the meal?
The flattop sizzled when Jacen threw on the first few steaks. Just the sound of that was calming to Jacen. And so while he fried up the steaks, Jacen thought about what Phenix said about there not being a way back to this Limbo. After a moment of the steaks settling on the grill, Jacen turned around, looking to be in deep thought.
"You know," Jacen said thinking aloud, "I think I remember seeing something awhile ago on some cracked out physicist or something. He was ranting about trying to bend arcs in the space-time continuum. Possibly even opening up rifts to new dimensions" Phenix looked at him with a bit of interest.
"I'm not saying that it happened, I'm just saying he was ranting about it." Jacen had made his way to the fridge and proceeded to grab a soda before continuing. "Besides, I've learned that in this world, nothing is impossible. It seems that a majority of these scientists work to bend the laws of physics until they break anyways, so I wouldn't count on what he was talking about to be the impossible."

"Awesome, steak is one of the, if not the greatest, foods on this earth. And, it seams like if one person can open this dimension, others should be able to also right? I mean, Xavier isn't the only telepath, and Wolverine isn't the only person with healing factor, so shouldn't there be someone else who can do it? Or, at least try to change someone's power enough to do it? Maybe, uh, whats his name. . . Forge can do something. Or not, I really don't know."
OOC: I don't know if Forge is around, so if he's not, you can ignore that, or someone can tell me and I'll change it.

OOC: Forge is randomly mentioned here and there so your reference is okay.
IC:
"That's a good point, Jamie, about mutants" Phenix nodded and grabbed some plates out of the cabinet for Jacen, "But I don't think we can find another one like Illyana unless we can break into Cerebro... and I don't know, I might want to teach here one day. Telling the kids how I broke into Cerebro might not be a good introductory speech."
Jamie nodded, "Forge did do some experiments with Kurt's teleporting. It might be worth talking to him."
"Maybe he could somehow manipulate where Kurt went when he teleported," Phenix shrugged, "Then again, Kurt would have to agree to it."
Lynzie flipped her wrist, "I bet I could convince him."
That garnered a small laugh from the crowd. Phenix still wanted to know of this physisist, "Jacen, who is this physisist you're talking about? Have we heard of him?"
