Skizzors TweedleKeys Skizzors IT IS SNOWING. TODAY, I SEE BEOWULF. (events not actually related) *snow envy* Are you going to see it in 3D? Yes. Yes I did. It was.. like.. I think if I had to see it again, I'd see it in.. normal. Just to see how it is. gonk The 3D wasn't as good as it could have been. I could see the double image far too frequently. Awww, I was really looking forward to a good 3D movie. I could imagine some of the shots in awesome 3D from the trailer. We had the ghosting problem with Harry Potter.

So I've signed up for Netflix and my mind goes blank. I think I promised someone I would try out new BSG and maybe Justice League though.
Edit: Classic movies I've been meaning to see time! Tee hee.
Double Edit: The boys are mad at me for telling the Netflix recommendations that I (we) didn't like Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

hilaroma Ashram McDuck Tokyo trip update before I get back to doing ... something. Yesterday was definitely a more pleasant trip than my last, considering it was raining cats and frogs last time. I decided to do a little site seeing first before I made my way through Animu Holeland. I went to Ueno park, which is quite nice and has tons of stuff to do. A couple of shrines, a pagoda, a giant fountain, statues of famous people and a few museums. Since this was just a "taking a look" trip, I more or less just made notes of what was there and will definitely go back when I have more time. I have a few pictures to share, so I'll do that soon. Also, for my next trip I'll go to the ROBOT exhibit they have at the Museum of Nature and Art. In Akihabara I made the rounds and picked up lots of good stuffs: Giant Robo Box set (the eyeball one) Two boxes of Gurren Lagann mini figures (got Kamina and King Kittan) Nono and Noriko figurines Sailor Mercury model to put together and paint Final Fantasy VI Advance GUITAR HERO III Hazzah The Museums in Ueno Park are really nice, and most of them have good English explanations along with the Japanese. I wonder if the robot exhibit is seasonal though. Make sure you don't wait too long to go see it because it may only last a month or more. 3nodding Indeed the Robot Exhibit is seasonal, and it will be ending near the end of January. So, I'll make sure to catch it during my next trip in mid December. 3nodding When my parents come to Japan I think Ueno Park will be one of the places we'll visit, because it has a good variety of stuff. My mother will be interested in the gardens and my father will probably like some of the museums and the monuments. (I would have liked it solely for the fact that it has an impressive statue of Saigo Takamori, but was more than pleased to find much more)

After going through the backlog TweeKee ... it warms my heart to see your viewings and what you are interested in viewing. crying YES. See Justice League. See it twice even. I'd be all over Netflix if I were living back in the States. It will definitely be a must whenever I decide to come back home for employment. On that note, it is getting really cold here in Shiojiri. I only wore a sweater to my first class this morning and I was trying to hold back the teeth chattering. Will definitely have to dress in layers today, especially since it will only get colder this evening. Now for an awesome story!So I'm teaching my student Kodai this morning (he works at a Restaurant and usually has his lessons early in the morning) and we're talking about music. He asks me what Japanese bands I know and JAM Project comes up. He was amused and I asked him why. "Game music, yes?" We talk a little further (we're swapping questions back and forth as an exercise) and he asks me, "How many games do you have?" which leads me to ask what game system he has. I find out he has a PS2 and ask him what his favorite game is right now. Kodai : "Super Robot Wars." Me : "Really?! OGs?" Kodai : "OGs, yes!" Me : "That's my favorite game now too!" Kodai : biggrin Then we talked about our favorite pilots and such. It was a blast. Here's his picks: 1. Kyosuke 2. TweedleKeys Awww, I was really looking forward to a good 3D movie. I could imagine some of the shots in awesome 3D from the trailer. We had the ghosting problem with Harry Potter. It WAS good 3D, don't get me wrong. It just.. had the potential to be better. It wasn't a constant problem.

I'm guessing it still hasn't been released yet, since I remember somewhere saying it would be released around the end of November. I'll continue to keep my eyes open for it, so don't panic. Also ... new Gurren Lagann mini figure boxes are available! There's a mini-Enki. If I am able to snag, he's all yours.
