Hn. Clash's last sign-in time was July 27th.. wonder what the Hell happened? domokun We may, in a worst case scenario, have to re-submit some gold & such - if he's not back before too long. Otherwise, we'll have no Top 8 pot. =P
Anywho, tomorrow at ze' Gym, I'm going to finally combine the combo Omi learned there, and a movement he saw in an O/M match, for a new melee attack. Large emphasis on crippling larger massed characters, but I could see it being used otherwise..
Later.

themightyjello The brackets not delivering? Very few people seem to be getting any decent fighting. Or any. The first round seems dedicated to seperate those who will post from those who won't, later rounds for actual fighting. With Clash gone, most of the early rounds drag on. Personally, I've had two time outs that came up at about the time the matches might have led to something interesting or great disappointment. I meant to enter some characters who were built to actual compete with the outrageous power some here toss about, but only ever got an edited version of two existing characters in. And the one in the FFA got the bye for round two. stare

I've had two no-shows so far.
One of which I got a PM after like 2-3 weeks saying that he should post by tomorrow, so hopefully that one will work out.
Other than that, it seems like you're right. Weeding out the people who won't post regularly.
Though I'll agree that most people seem to not be getting what they want out of this. Personally, the only part of what I wanted to see that I actually got was in the Gym thread there. There's been no fight in the other ones, it's mostly just "I use power" "I counter with a power" "I use another power"...

Yeah, hand to hand is preferable. I like abilities on a very limited scale.
Rivven does not fit this, but I generally avoid doing magic with him unless he has to defend himself, in which case despite extreme limits, he can cover pretty much anything.
Alchert is just scarry as anything. He has two real 'powers' and I would rather avoid using one if I can. The other is just growing a carapace on his skin.
In my matches so far, Rivven covered his head and let his overly-fortified coat take the beating of whips. Then it ended as he got to melee range.
Alchert's opponent got to melee right away but kept taking back part of what he'd done, or moving in ways that wouldn't work (I tried a few XP) and basically declaring himself stronger and faster. Then he failed to post.
