No? No stabbing? Oh well, didnt matter too much.
After bursting forward off his left foot and finding no resistance, his right foot would plant back down on the ground and pivot, left foot swinging forward so that he was once again facing the woman rather than sideways perpenducular to her.
He did keep the blade at his left side though, tip still poited at her, which meant his right arm crossed over his chest to the left side since it was holding onto the blade.
And yes, Tzenidaar just kept advancing with quick steps while Katie retreated backwards. The only problem with walking backwards though, was that it was slower than walking forward, so the gap between them would only diminish as the chimera advanced. In addition to that, the way Katie was walking backwards may prevent her from losing her balance since she wasnt shifting her weight from one foot to another, but the overall process was much slower than walking backwards regularily. And with the small space between the two, it meant she wasnt given enough space to properly swing the weapon at all since the chimera would be inside of her arms reach.
But here's the difference of style. Katie held her sword at the hilt like a traditional sword fighter. Tzenidaar treated the weapon like a big stick, one hand on the hilt, the other on the blade, as if it was a quarterstaff of something. Which meant the length of weapon outside of his arms were very little, allowing him much greater manueverability. With Katie's weapon and arm kept down at his left side, it wasnt hard for him to bring up his right arm and more or less in a backhand motion, swing the tip of the cleaver's blade upwards and towards his right at her face.
And even as he did that, he was still stepping forward, the motion carried out entirely by his upper body alone. He easily had the advantage in such close quarters with Katie's weapon pushed off to his side and being inside of her threat range.

The Amazon had been right about one thing. Tzenidaar kept moving forward. It was his style to keep invading someone's space. He was moving in quickly, faster then she could back up.
However, she decided to take a few steps, rather than shuffling, to quickly get out of his reach, but he was already within reach of her, swinging his stick up into her face. It was about that time she tripped on a log that lay behind her. She was falling backwards, unable to stop. Air rushed by her face as Tzenidaar's hunk of metal went rushing centimeters by her face.
As she fell back her sword swung upwards toward Tzenidaar's center. Hopefully, he had good footing and didn't come falling down with her or he'd have a sixty two inch sword shoved into his chest. It possibly even managed to nick his chest if he didn't fall with her. He was all up in her personal space.

He watched his weapon swing throught he air and hit all of nothing. What a waste. His right hand let go of the blade, letting the tip of the weapon fall to the ground at Katie's left side, but not before she carved a nice path through the air with her sword, cutting a thin line oor red over his chest with the end just grazing him.
No, he wasnt going to keep advancing if there was a log in the way which Katie tripped over from. That would be stupid, not to mention he'd have to lift his foot high enough to get past it rather than just step forward.
Instead, his left foot spread out to his side, widening his base as his torso would twist to his left, his right hand swinging down to slam against the back of the blade that was sticking into the ground, causing the heavy blade to tear a path through the dirt and directly into the prone woman's left side.
"Git up."

And there Katie was, at the mercy of another because of a damn log. The sword had swung through the air at the chimera. The momentum of it sent the blade above her head while her hands still clung to it. If she had let go the blade would have gone sailing.
With the chimera standing over her, his blade wedged into the ground on her left. Her left side was wide open as the blade swung towards her and smashed into her armor.
She let out a grunt of disapproval as Tzenidaar told her to git up.
Twisting her hips to her right she pushed up to a standing position. Her left hand was free, having let go of the sword in order to stand, but she wasn't facing Tzenidaar.
Well, she tried to rectify that by pivoting her right foot back and swinging her sword one handed out towards the chimera. This would put her right side facing Tzenidaar. Yes, this was definitely a wild swing.
What can I say? Katie is wild like that. cool

Tzenidaar's right hand slid down the length of the blade in the drit, getting a good grip closer to the tipr ather than the hilt once again as he pulled the weapon out of the ground while Katie got up.
And would you look at that? She went for a blind swing at him with a large motion turning swing motion. His left arm raised up above his head at his right side, the cleaver in his hands held up vertically with the tip of the blade pointed at the ground as he blocked the wild swing with the length of his own weapon, between his hands which braces both the top and bottom of its length.
But Tzenidaar wasnt the kind of person to pause very often in a fight. He was always busy on the attack. With Katie's weapon stopped for the time being, and she stood standing perpendicular to him with her right side facing him, the chimera's left hand which was raised higher than his head pushed forward, tilting his own weapon up over Katie's, using it as a fulcrum while lining it up above the amazon's extended weapon and arm before suddenly stepping back with his left foot and yanking his left arm back forcefully, making the extra long hilt of his cleaver hook the crook of her neck and chin, closer to the left side and pull her right down backwards towards him. Normally, she probably could put a leg out behind her and stiffen her neck to resist the hook and pull, but not with the same log she had tripped over in the way.
He was going to make her trip again, only thing time, she'd fall back onto this side of the log.

Katie grinned as the two weapons collided. She had hoped to go for a cheap shot and catch the chimera off guard, but she knew it was difficult to elude him. Though, he seemed the one to be good at eluding.
She hadn't expected him to do what he did next. He stepped in with his left, yanking with his left arm, and her neck and chin would suddenly get tangled up with the hilt of his sword. There she went again, tumbling forwards.
Her hands came out to brace her fall, sword still in her right as she went falling. She wasn't quite sure what happened with that. Tzenidaar would have to step out of the way to not get another slice on him as she tumbled.
*Grumble, mumble, something or another*
She would push up to stand. Now, she was back on the other side of the log. As she stood she brought her blade out in front of her, except the tip was pointing up in the air.
Yes, she was waiting on him to move.

But he didnt step out of the way. He wasnt worried at all about getting sliced up here or there. He had dense muscles, and the thing about swords is that without enough space to swing them to build up enough force and momentum to deliver a blow that could tear into musces and cleave bone, a sword was really just limited to being a long sharp object which only accomplished a tiny fraction of what it could do. He didnt step away, merely turned so she tumbled at his left side even as that blade slit open his right side at his ribs. His lips peeled back from the suddenly sharp pain, but it was more of a surprise than something really damaging.
He didnt let Katie get up, since he was still there without moving, invading her space again if you will, left foot stepping forward just a bit to step on the blade of her weapon, right at the base of the blade closest to the hilt to prevent her from moving that arm before he quickly pivoted and swung his right foot over to her left side.
Standing over her, he dropped the blade right on down, tip first, right above her head and both hand propped themselves up on the hilt so he could lean on it in case she went to pull some kind of kick him in the butt to knock him over or grab his leg and yank on it with her free hand.
And he had this wide grin on his face as he spoke down at her lying there.
"Cant beat me without weapons. Cant beat me with weapons."
Oh, taunting.

Oh, this was how it was gonna be. The chimera stepped on her blade and stepped over her, keeping her from standing and keeping her blade pinned. Not to mention that she was face first, so with him over her it was hard to gut him like a fish.
Then, he had to go and taunt. This pissed her off and hurt her pride, but a lot of things could easily do that.
She sneered, forgetting her sword on the ground, just so she could turn her back and send a fist into the chimera's crotch for a nut shot. Who said you needed to kick someone's balls? Just punch 'em.

Oh yeah, he did keep an eye on her for anything suspicious and retaliations. And his plan was to just go and drop down right on top of her. Too bad her retaliation was to punch him in the nuts though.
'Cause when she turned, he dropped, right on down into her fist, which accomplished the whole straddling her body thing and her hitting him at the same time.
"FAAAAAAAAAWK."
He leaned forward with a sudden nauseating feeling in his guts twisting up. But he didnt just do so idly, no, his right hand grabbed a fistfull of Katie's hair even as he did that, making sure to pin her down to the ground. The collapsing motion when he fell on her while she was punching would also pin that arm down against her body; either between his legs with her arm stretched out behind him, or curled up, pinned down between their torsos.

Oh man, it worked. Katie couldn't have been happier. She nearly squealed with delight, until he came down on her. All she managed was an 'oof'.
Now her left arm was pinned. She was probably lying on her sword or practically on it, so she couldn't reach for it and slap Tzenidaar around a bit. Let's also not forget that he had a fistfull of her hair.
"You just like being the dominant one and makin' sure you're on top. I get it. You know I don't mind the bottom, and I especially love the hair pulling."
The only good thing was that he seemed to be a little dazed, possibly.. So, since her left hand was pinned while his right arm was stretched over her left side to grip her hair, this left his right side open and her right arm was free.
With that, she slammed her right fist into the center of the chimera's face, over and over.

She was always talking dirty with him, like, all the time. And well, he really didnt have a response with words and instead was just going to reply through actions. Because everyone knows what was going to go down after they fought. And it was the censored type of thing.
...
Who am I kidding? Tzenidaar was a rude ******** and talked trash all day. Like that would really stop him.
"I'll make sure you pull your hair especially hard later."
Well, Katie could try to punch at him, but he was leaning up overtop of her, which would hinder her vision somewhat. Not to mention his left arm was not in use at the moment. He could try to block her punches, but not right away. He still had that twisting gut feeling which wasnt very pleasant and a soreness between the legs.
So with the first punch that swung in, he tilted and jutt his head forward, slamming his forehead into her fist. The kind of thing that could break someone's hand by messing up the point of impact on an especially hard surface like the crest of the skull. If she continued to throw more punches regardless, he'd do the same thing. And if she continued, then on the fifth punch, his left arm would snap out and as usual, slam into the crook of her elbow, pinning her arm down against the ground.
>:{
And then it was his turn. Tzenidaar's right hand pulled back maybe an inch or so and then just slammed right back down to the ground again, driving the back of Katie's head into the ground. And he'd do it again and again and again. It wasnt that it was terrifying forceful, no, not with the amount of distance he freed up, but repeated strikes like that rapidly was still going to rattle her brain around like crazy. And that wasnt including the fact that he was real strong.

The chimera's dirty talk always made her grin, for a brief moment then she'd go back to her mean look.
Well, screw him leaning over top of her. Her fist would hit his forehead as he tilted his head forward, slamming his forehead into her fist. There was a crunch and she instinctively pulled back. She didn't even get a second shot, so it was safe to assume that he wouldn't go for pinning her right arm down. Not yet, anyway.
Tzenidaar would then start slamming Katie's head into the ground.
"Ow."
Again.
"Ow!"
Again.
"I SAID OW!"
Her right hand would suddenly be all up in his hair near his left ear, gripping his hair, and while she gripped it she would reach in and try to shove her thumb into his eyeball.

He felt her grab right back at his hair, although truth be told, he didnt really have all that much to grab at since it was pretty short. Anyway, Tzenidaar surely did feel that thumb against his eye, which prompted him to growl and jerk his head to his right to mess up her prodding just for a moment so he could get his left hand inside of her's and push against it in an attempt to make her let go.
But while he did all that, his right hand was all pulling Katie's hair to the side rather than into the air as he quite simply ground the side of her face into the dirt.

Katie's right hand would slip away from his less to nothing amount of hair as the chimera pushed against it. However, as he reached in and pushed, her hand went to his left wrist, grabbing roughly while jerking his left hand to the left side of her chest. She was attempting to knock him slightly off balance as she pulled his arm across her chest.
Then, he was jerking her head. The left side of her face was getting ground into the dirt.
A growl would emit from her throat.
She would suddenly jerk her hips to the left, which shouldn't be too hard with her face already turned in the direction. She just needed to get her shoulders and hips moving in that same direction.
If she pulled his arm in across her chest it should have brought Tzenidaar forward quickly, quickly enough to throw his balance off as she tried to turn them and bring her on top.

It always ended in the same unsightly scrap. Oh well, it didnt matter.
Suddenly he found himself being rolled over as the woman jerked to the side, his hand letting go of her hair as she clambered up on top of him.
Well, he wasted no time. That hand which had previously been tangled up in her hair went straigh towards the cleaver that was sticking out of the ground, gripping a part of the blade before he yanked it violently right towards her, causing it to topple and drop the hilt of the heavy weapon to her head.
