Maybe I've just been out of the hobby when it came and went but I remember back with Apocalypse was first really big that rumour circled about GW releasing a plastic version of the Scorpion heavy tank... does anyone know if that ever happened or if it is still happening?
I've been tempted to get one for a long time but the possibility of a cheaper and very much lighter version of the kit has always held be back from buying one... any feed back on that would be much appreciated!
On a related note... I've always wanted a Void Dragon... I hate the fact that it costs so much money. >.<

With Apocalypse being nothing but a memory now for the most part, chances of actual Apocalypse only releases are really small these days. However, if looking for air support, at the very least wait until this Summer, if Wartorn Skies does pop up, there is a good chance that the Eldar might get their Nightwing plastic kit. It beats ordering from Forge World at any rate! talk2hand

I wouldn't mind that... the Nightwing is pretty cool despite it's name making me think of the DC comics hero. lol I think if they are going to go nuts with arial units... they should make the Void Dragon. ^_^

Wait and see is all we can do now. There has been some talk of the Nightwing being the kit that makes or breaks Wartorn Skies, seeing as it has a lot of fragile parts and a swept wing mechanism.

I just got some Striking scorpions from my friend and i wanted to see if anyone would want to trade for them. They are unpainted and on bases.

Old news to be sure for some of you but I just came across this prototype redesign of the Eldar Jetbike and felt I had to share it:  If this ever gets put into production... I'm definitely buying a set. lol

Really, really old news, but thanks for sharing. That's a resin prototype of something Jes was working on almost a decade ago now. The model has been recycled and turned into the Dark Eldar variants they released last year.

Oh seriously? lmao, boy I've been out of the loop. Oh well. sweatdrop
In awesome news; in the last week I set up my entire Eldar collection, made repairs and updates where needed and flocked all the bases with my special urban mixture.
What does this mean?
It means I just need a day of good weather to take the craftworld out with a can of chaos black to give them all a solid base coat before I begin the task of painting every model and at very long last being able to say... I own an entirely painted army! rofl
I think I'll be taking a photo of the collection as it is right now to give an idea of how big the task is and then I'll give progress reports as I complete each unit/vehicle...
this is going to be fun! xd

I'm in a similar predicament, I'm scrapping all my old Eldar and starting a new scheme with all the bells and whistles.
With that in mind, does anyone know any fluff on the Altansar craftworld? The only bit that I've found is that they were entrapped in the Eye of Terror for millennia, and are not trusted by the other Eldar craftworlds. Does anyone have any more information than that?

I believe the Dark Reaper Phoenix Lord is from that Craftworld, and it has a high percentage of Dark Reapers. Not too sure though.

Van Evok http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Altansar some info on Altansar... and if you want themed army around Maugan Ra, they are the way to go! Awesome, good stuff. Still a lot of the same, but opens up a bit more into the history, if not the character of the craftworld. I'm basing my newer Eldar on the Altansar craftworld, though with a wider interpretation of the paint scheme, going more with a fire-and-lava feel to the whole army (Aspect Warriors and all), which is somewhat reflective of the Eye of Terror business.

So I'm trying to figure out how best to model an Autarch on Jetbike with a fusion gun and a power sword... Has anyone modeled a bike HQ with two weapons? Did you attach one to the jetbike, or how did you do it?

You could either have the sword strapped to the hip of the model, or have the gun affixed to the bike.
