Ooo I want to see Spirited Away, but I wonder if it's something my hubby would like as well. He's not really into anime like me, unless it's dark and bloody.

Heh I knew Orophin would know the awesomeness of Boondock Saints!

And I don't have a green knot top, I don't have many clothes, sorry Kasumi!

12/09/04 Reports are coming in from Columbus, Ohio, where an alleged shooting occurred at Alrossa Villa, the nightclub where Damageplan was performing tonight. The earliest reports indicate that Dimebag Darrell and one other band member were among those killed.

The following is posted at the Web site of WCMH TV Channel 4, the NBC affiliate in Columbus at http://www.nbc4i.com/news/3983630/detail.html

At Least 5 Dead, 2 Wounded In Nightclub Shooting
Witnesses: Alleged Guman Went Onto Stage, Fired Shots

POSTED: 10:32 pm EST December 8, 2004
UPDATED: 1:40 am EST December 9, 2004

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- At least five people died and two others were wounded after a shooting at a Columbus nightclub on Wednesday night, NBC 4 reported.

The shooting took place shortly after 10 p.m. at Alrosa Villa, located at 5055 Sinclair Road.

Two members of the heavy metal band Damageplan were reportedly shot and killed, including Dimebag Darrell, formerly with the band Pantera, NBC 4's David Wayne reported. The other band member's name was not released. The alleged gunman also died at the scene, Wayne reported.

Columbus police Sgt. Brent Mall said the alleged gunman appeared to be targeting the band members. After shooting at the stage, the gunman opened fire on the crowd. At that point, an officer shot man dead, Mall added. Police said there could have been many more fatalities had the officer not killed the gunman.

Shortly after the band began playing its first song, a man reportedly ran onto the stage and began shooting, according to a witness who identified himself as Sean. Some members of the audience reportedly thought the man running onto the stage with a gun was part of the band's act, NBC 4's Erin Tate reported.

Witnesses said that several shots were fired at the band. Witnesses said that a bouncer at the club tackled the alleged gunman before that person was shot and killed.

NBC 4 reported that of the surviving victims, one person was in critical condition while the other was in fair condition. Several others were treated at the scene, suffering from various injuries.

Alrosa Villa is a popular north Columbus nightspot for young adults, featuring rock and heavy metal bands, NBC 4 reported.

According to the band's Web site, Damageplan was touring nationally. It performed in Buffalo, N.Y., on Tuesday night and had a concert scheduled in Flint, Mich., on Thursday.

Damageplan featured former Pantera artists Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul. The pair were joined by vocalist Patrick Lachman and bassist Bobzilla, according to their Web site.

Aaawww man, Illi, that's fvcked up.

My husband had asked me if I heard anything about this when I was talking to him on the phone a minute ago, but I was in a hurry and didn't get to really ask him about any details.

That really sucks.

Is it farged up that I posted that? Or just farged up in general? I posted it because a friend of mine is a devout Pantera fan (to almost a cultish level) and has been in tears since word got out. I think it's pretty farged that someone just jumps on stage and starts shooting. They still don't know what the motive was, but at last update on CNN, 5 people have died including another Damageplan band member, and multiple people were injured.

Posting a mini update on my (cheers and waves a tiney flag) College finals are this week (causing me to be a basket-case). My boyfriend got his ship out date for basic and got what his job will be (major basket-case on my part) He got E.O.D. just like he wanted and i was dreading. Plus he ships out July 25 (any help/ support in dealing with that sort of thing please pm me about it ^^ I need some good coping strategies). On a good, non-Basket-Case note, he and I have sought councelling for our relationship and feel more in love and more confident about our future success than ever. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy for long periods of time. I got a clean bill of health from my doctors. I'm switching therapists (tad basket-case "ness"). And finally I told my parents in a nice way that I dont believe what they do and they absolutely hate me and have no tolerance for me. (grrr-ness) Wish me luck on my psychology final sweatdrop I'll need it. (bows and climbs off the mini podeum)

It's great to see that you're taking some charge in your life and getting things accomplished, Mairead! I'm proud of you for that. Good luck on those finals and I hope everything goes well with your b/f going off to basic.

hey all... um... I know many of you know that I own/run a newbie charity named footprints... well, i am wanting to find someone to fill a new position for me... [i hope it's ok to post this here? i can make it's own thread if you want...] anyways, um, there really aren't any qualifications or prerequisite stuff... the job position is someone who does follow up. we have this rule where people who apply have to stick around and do this three day bumping. they can post elsewhere in that time; but they are supposed to be there bumping.. it lets us see if they are earnest or not. Also, it gives us time to see if any mule'ish characteristics pop up... it's our best rule. a lot of people in those three days will forget about applying for us and will put on uber expensive stuff no newbie could afford... then they are just taken off our list. but, the people who maybe just lose their way back to our thread.. we need a follow up person who pm's them to remind them to come back... please pm me if interested... or ask me for a link to the charity itself.. thanks. smile 3nodding
